Villa Sant Anna ★★★

"A quiet and pleasant farmhouse nestled in the heart of nature. The dirt road makes the arrival a bit adventurous, but nothing too difficult. There are only 10 rooms, but you'll be pampered by the host from the moment you arrive. The breakfast is excellent, and you can also accommodate allergies and intolerances. Mr. Andrea is more than available for any recommendations on local attractions and restaurants. The price is excellent for what you get. There are some improvements to the rooms and the deck, but nothing exceptional. Having the lake and grounds to yourself is a real pleasure. The rooms are well soundproofed, and at night you can only hear the sounds of the nocturnal animals. The view of the stars overhead at night is beautiful, especially if the sky is clear."

"Our second visit to Tenuta La Bandita and nearly as good as our first stay, last year. I say 'nearly' as small things had changed in the past year, like other reviewers have stated, that even going to breakfast at 9am there was little choice left, except for cake (which was also very nice, no complaints there) but I draw the line at plastic wrapped cheese squares! Evening meals were taken out on the patio which, whilst a beautiful setting, the rustic paving/patio area needs attention as several guests found it uneven, to sit at your table. Can't fault the staff who made us very welcome and were very attentive - for other reviewers moaning on here, you just need to ask them politely and they'll sort you out, or see Daniela in the office - they are lovely, lovely people. Again, the pool and seating area is lovely as well, as too the afternoon round of drinks offered by the staff! If you stay here then you'll realise that you need a car to get there, so I won't drone on about the beautiful scenery and towns that surround the hotel - a real treat when you also find a small vineyard that offer superb Super Tuscan reds to taste and bring home. Still 5-stars from us and will probably return for a third time, in the future."

".... 5 friends, 5 bike..... When we walk on the Internet, we find the possibility to stay in this place. It was the last night of our tour and we couldn't finish the tour with such a beautiful experience. The gentleness kingdom master. The size of the tents is not huge, but it is right, but all of its things are in the right place. Even the dinner and breakfast perfect. Thank you very much for everything, boys and compliments yet......"
