"Ik zou zaterdag arriveren. Vrijdagmiddag werd ik gebeld dat ik de enige gast was en naar een andere, veel verdere, locatie moest. Reistijd: 1.20 minuten met de bus en dan nog een half uur lopen. Ik heb bedankt en aangegeven dat ik een ander hotel ging zoeken, niks meer van ze vernomen. Zo ga je niet met je gasten om."

"Mijn vriend en ik hadden een zeer aangename verblijf in dit hotel. Erg comfortabele locatie voor alles wat we nodig hadden zonder een auto. We konden de zon op en op de zon op de La Cinta zien, de stranden rondom Sun Teodoro met een lokale bus en wandelen naar het centrum rond 10-15 min lopen. Maar de aandacht van onze verblijf was de gastvrijheid en familie vibe van dit hotel. Heel goed ontbijt en diner met uitstekende service. We werden behandeld als royalty. Hartelijk dank aan Georgio, Chiara en alle Sandalyon team voor het maken van onze vakantie geheugenvol. Natuurlijk zal terugkomen. Dank je heel hartelijk!"

"Just got back after a lovely 11 nights at Bonsai. The rooms are spacious and clean with large bathrooms and a modern shower. The staff are amazing! Professional, attentive and friendly. The food available was very good, something for everyone. Hats off to the chef! The bar connected to the hotel was lovely, great prices and lovely staff. Location for us was perfect. A nice beach 2 minutes away and some great bars and restaurants in the vicinity. A 20 minute pleasant stroll takes you into the main town which was much bigger than we expected. Gets busy but a lovely vibe in the evening with plenty more bars and restaurants."

"4 star resort if you’re staying in any other room but the apartment. Our room (105) became infested with flying ants and termites on our last night of the trip. Front desk provided us bug spray to deal with the bugs but they kept coming. It was impossible to locate the entry point because there were so many of them. We had to have the kids sleep in our room as I didn’t want them where we had to use the bug spray. On the second night of our trip, the electricity went out in our room and it activated the emergency lights throughout the apartment at 0200. Not the best way to wake up. This was weird as the air conditioner continued to run so at least that was a good thing. I went to the front desk to complain and realized that it had affected the whole hotel as all the other guests were either standing outside their hotel room and the front lobby was packed. Receptionist said it was a problem in the city not caused by them but the street lights and neighboring houses had power and the AC was still running so not sure how you talk that one down. As compensation, they took 20€ off the breakfasts that weren’t included in the hotel apartment booking and gave me a 12 o’clock late checkout from the standard 10am. This hotel is still one of my favorites but selecting that apartment was a bad move. It’s very spartan, does not come with room cleaning but that’s all stated up front when you book. It’s good for a family of 4 to spread out in and we had a terrace to dry off all our beach things after a day out in the sun. Breakfast buffet is good. Also I remember from our first trip the receptionist would provide a map of the neighboring beaches and a code to get a discount for the reservation only beaches. This time I had to ask about it but the receptionist did get us the map and the code after requesting it. It would be cool to provide this to every guest as they checked-in, and for them not to ask about it because this is good information to have."
