My wife and I had a lovely two-week holiday at HG Jardin de Menorca. Everything about our trip was perfect (hats off to Jet2 Holidays too). The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Everyone spoke good English and tolerated my attempts at speaking Spanish. Wi-Fi was excellent throughout the hotel, including our room and even the pool area. We stayed in a Superior Junior Suite, room 2A101. It had everything that we could need, including UK TV channels (sometimes there was some flickering but nothing to get fussed about), hob, fridge, microwave etc. The room was very clean and tidy, with a very comfortable bed. Loads of hanging space and room for all your stuff. It was cleaned every day, including new towels. The shower was great, tons of hot water and great pressure. We had a good view over the pool area, and sometimes sat there just watching the world go by. The grounds were immaculate with grass areas all round the pool and lovely palm trees everywhere. The pool area was well laid out with lots of loungers and parasols. There was a lifeguard on duty all day, every day too. We stayed B/B and the breakfast was superb. A good mix of cereals, all sorts of breads (including a toaster), hams, cheeses, jams and coffee machines. Also a great range of hot stuff including a chef making eggs and bacon dishes. We ate at the hotel bar area (just next to the pool) a few times. It was great, with a mix of salads, burgers and local dishes. Everything we had was well presented and reasonable value. We had thunderstorms on a couple of days so we made use of the Fitness Room – a treadmill, stepper, cycle with multigym and free weights – everything you could need. We used the free local shuttle minibus a few times too: down and back to the beach area in Son Bou. We always booked to make sure we got a seat, and everything worked well. There is a well-stocked supermarket within the hotel complex and we found everything that we needed. Overall, we had a great time at the hotel. We would definitely go back: we couldn’t fault it at all.

The most relaxing holiday we have had for such a long time. This quiet resort only has two hotels. The Tirant Playa hotel is comprised of accommodation blocks only two levels high, all apartments with beautiful views across the inlet with the sun shining by day and setting in the evening giving a beautiful glow across the hills. The beach is a joy with a long stretch of shallow water and if you walk around the inlet, you will see turtles basking in the sun. Carry on walking and you come to a section of the Cami de Cavalls, a walking route that circles the island. Back at our lovely apartment, there is an amazing large pool, with a sparkling clean restaurant providing drinks and meals and attended by lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Loved their positive attitude. Similarly, the staff at reception were there to help with all requests. We felt relaxed and cared for. And last but not least our rooms were immaculate with fresh towels every other day; even lovely beach towels provided on The kitchen was well equipped with a new microwave and hob; there was loads of storage space for kitchen items, clothes and paraphernalia. Tut is a 30/40 minute walk into Fornells, a small harbour town with gorgeous restaurants and there is a timely bus service if you want to visit the larger towns on the island. Absolutely loved TRH Tirant Playa and we can’t wait to return.

The service and care of staff is excellent; they certainly maintain a high quality standard and care of their customers. The hotel has a very good and complete facilities to enjoy the stay and good food (both in variety and quality) of the buffet.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the accommodation, it was clean and great location and in the weeks stay we had towel and bedding change done 3 times which was very much appreciated. The location was a little noisy until about midnight, probably wouldn't be an issue for most people but with a young child we were in bed by 9ish most nights, luckily my little one slept brilliantly and after the first night I just used my headphones as ear plugs and had a great night's sleep every night. On the subject of noise....the walls are very thin and noise does travel. We did have a very noisy neighbour on the 1st day, who were a little noisy during their affectionate times, slightly awkward and just something to be aware of if you're going as a couple! The pool area was great, perfect for a little one as it is very shallow and we had the area completely to ourselves every day, also free WiFi in this area for guests. The beds were much bigger than the standard single you usually get, I'd say 3/4 size and comfortable. Yes the rooms were a little dated, but for the price for better than I was expecting. Completely functional and clean. There was a ceiling fan and little electrical heater supplied which really heated the space up. Even in 43+ degrees the room was pleasantly cool. Good sized fridge, only hot plates and microwave though for cooking but lovely local restaurants literally a 30 second walk away. The location of the hotel is very good, with a very nice view and with many restaurants next to the port. It is a bit difficult to get there, yes, and it is likely that in high season it will be very difficult to park. Remarkable breakfast. The courtesy shower on the last day in the afternoon is a great detail to make the most of the day of departure. The service very attentive.

What an amazing hotel. Visited Mahon with my friend in late September, we had a room with large terrace. The room was perfect with comfy bed, fabulous shower, toiletries and mini bar. Lovely evenings on the terrace enjoying a gin and tonic. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, sitting by the garden and pool. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is centrally located to shops and bars, the harbour and a fabulous bus service!! We went to binibeca, es castell and son bou for afew euros, it is really such a lovely island. We loved it so much we have booked to stay at casa ladico next year… can’t wait!!
