Sami Beach Hotel

"Personeel uiterst vriendelijk. Locatie waar bijna alleen Engelse vakantie gangers regelmatig terugkomen, ze kenden elkaar allemaal en dito naar het personeel van deze locatie. Kamers waren netjes, ontbijt was matig. Wilde je een gebakken eitje en dat had men niet gepland dan werd dat ook niet alsnog op verzoek gemaakt. Locatie lag lekker heel dicht bij het strand, kreeg handdoeken mee voor op de gratis ligbedden. Locatie op bijna 1,5 km van Sami centrum waar je heerlijke restaurants kunt vinden. Strand was voorzien van grote en kleinere stenen, waterschoenen aan te raden."

"Excellent location and fabulous for surrounding restaurants, bars and tavernas! Rooms are spacious with good air conditioning. Breakfast good and the staff are friendly and welcoming! One of the best locations I’ve stayed in the Greek islands. However, can’t be a 5* as the hotel readily has visitors from the 3* Athina across the road who pay €5 per night tourist tax whereas hotel guests pay €15 per night! There is no charge for them to use facilities, sunbeds and towels! You can’t unfortunately offer a 5* experience on those terms!!! Would I stay again? With all the pros ordinarily yes! But because of the lowering of their standards then NO!! should the current arrangement change then in a flash i’d change this opinion and return regularly!!!"

"Lovely clean accommodation with super friendly staff. Quiet pool with everything you need. Short drive to sami assos, myrtos and antisamos. Easy drive to fiskardo and argostoli. Had a great stay and highly recommend. Also best pizza I've ever had in the traditional wood fired pizza oven!!"

Meliti Waterfront Suites

"Fantastic apartment at Meliti suites. The penthouse (Ammos) apartment is so worth the extra cost. The wide balcony runs along the front and round the side so every room has a sea view. One bedroom with a side view out to Sami has an en-suite. The middle bedroom is double aspect with doors facing to the front and side. The 3rd bedroom is smaller and looks out to sea. Lovely indoor sitting/dining/kitchen area and lots of seating options on the balcony, from where you hear the sea breaking on the pebble beach. Great location between Sami (a few mins drive or 20 min walk, The Cellar is a great restaurant) and the even nicer Agia Effimia (10 mins drive. Walk away from the harbour up to Pergola or along to Sea Rock for dinner) and less than 10 mins walk from Melissani lake. There was a really long queue when we went to the lake (a cruise ship was visiting the island) so we just went back another day. And there’s a lovely bakery/cafe just a couple of mins walk away. The staff were very helpful before we arrived and very pleasant when we were there. Photos are of the view from the balcony. "
