"Alles, de locatie: echt sprookjesachtig uitzicht, supermooi. Centraal op het eiland gelegen dus niets is ver rijden. Fantastisch, heel warm personeel. Gezellig familiehotel. Fijne kamer, goede bedden, heerlijke douche met meteen en altijd stabiel warm water met krachtige straal. Fijn groot zwembad met genoeg heerlijke ligbedjes (verboden om " handdoekje te leggen", superfijn!). Veel zitjes/loungesetjes bij het zwembad. Gratis ligbedjes op het (grind) strandje bij het zwembad.Leuke bar met toilet bij het zwembad. Heel uitgebreid, zeer smakelijk ontbijt met heel veel keus. Alles met lokale produkten. Op loopafstand (ook via een wandelpad langs het strand naar Sami, waar veel restaurants zijn. In dorpje zelf ook 2 goede restaurants op het pleintje. Heel goede bakker dichtbij. Heel veel vaste (vnl Engelse) gasten. Echt top!"

"In onze verblijf in Sami voelen we dat we een uitstekende keuze hebben gemaakt door dit hotel te kiezen. De accommodatie heeft een uitstekende kwaliteit/prijsverhouding, evenals een reeks van regelmatig functionerende diensten. Uitgebreide en veilige parkeerplaats. Ruime en comfortabele kamer met keuken en een discreet functionele badkamer, plus een uitzicht op het zwembad van de faciliteit. De handdoeken worden regelmatig elke dag met basisreinigingen, inclusief zonder betaling van extra diensten. De accommodatie heeft een zwembad, bar en restaurant. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en gezellig ook in noodsituaties (ze hebben mij ook geholpen om een geboortede band te veranderen). De structuur is in het groene gedicht en verplaatst door het burgerverkeer van het eiland. Daarom is het makkelijk te bereiken met een auto of een motorfiets. Typisch Grieks, de structuur heeft vele dieren in de omgeving, vooral katten (zeer zacht en geëerd. Wees goed met hen)."

"Positives Location right near the waterfront Use of loungers to access the small beach Apartment space and cleanliness 20 mins walk in to Sami Lovely cafe just up the road Negatives Neroli suite has a small side sea view behind a lot of electricity wires not the panoramic views stated Road traffic noise is constant (we had a terrible nights sleep the first evening as we weren’t made aware of the shutters for the windows overnight) Pool is tiny and was packed everytime we went to go - it has a 12 person limit and for the numerous suites it’s highly unlikely you will be able to use Local supermarket has been closed for ages therefore Sami is closest place to get essentials"

The location was perfect for exploring the island and only a short walk into Sami. Despina was an absolutely lovely host. Super friendly, always happy to help, provide recommendations and answer questions. We also loved our little mezze plates when we ordered drinks from the bar. We can fully understand why Kalypso Studios is so well reviewed, we couldn't fault it at all and would love to come back! We borrowed beach towels, umbrellas and chairs for our travels to local beaches which was a kind and helpful gesture. Thoroughly recommend ordering the breakfast, perfect way to start the day and the homemade marmalade was amazing! We're so sad to have left and want to say thanks again for helping us have such an amazing stay."

"Personeel uiterst vriendelijk. Locatie waar bijna alleen Engelse vakantie gangers regelmatig terugkomen, ze kenden elkaar allemaal en dito naar het personeel van deze locatie. Kamers waren netjes, ontbijt was matig. Wilde je een gebakken eitje en dat had men niet gepland dan werd dat ook niet alsnog op verzoek gemaakt. Locatie lag lekker heel dicht bij het strand, kreeg handdoeken mee voor op de gratis ligbedden. Locatie op bijna 1,5 km van Sami centrum waar je heerlijke restaurants kunt vinden. Strand was voorzien van grote en kleinere stenen, waterschoenen aan te raden."

"We zijn net terug van het Ionian Emerald Resort en hebben een geweldige tijd gehad. Hoewel het hotel een beoordeling van 5* heeft, zou een eerlijkere beoordeling 4,5* zijn. Een paar tweeks zouden het naar de vermelde 5* brengen. Een beter aanvullend thee-/koffieblad etc. Twee theezakjes en 2 kleine potjes melk zijn echt niet voldoende. Dagelijks mineraalwater, een minibar en een beter douchearrangement. De kamer had een groot bad met jets en de douche was boven het bad, maar een inloopdouche zou beter zijn, maar dat is alleen onze mening. Onze suggestie van een lange ophangruimte voor jurken werd door het management overgenomen. Dat gezegd hebbende, het personeel was zonder uitzondering uitstekend, en een speciale vermelding voor Eva en Alex bij de receptie, Fania aan de bar en onze geweldige kamerdame Agnise (excuses als de naam verkeerd gespeld is). Goed personeel is essentieel voor het maken van de vakantie. Het ontbijtmenu kan worden verbeterd, maar er was veel keuze en de omeletten waren fantastisch. We zullen terugkeren naar dit hotel omdat het zo erg relaxed was en op een mooie locatie, op slechts een korte wandeling naar Sami, waar de keuze aan restaurants, bars enz. Precies goed was. We hadden een deluxe kamer en deze was zeer ruim met een prachtig uitzicht. Zoals gezegd hebben we een geweldige tijd gehad in de Ionian Emerald en we zullen opnieuw boeken."

"Just 2 nights here touring Kefalonia, used as base to spend day on Ithaka. Owner Makis very kind and helpful, though internet not working for my first day on hotel opening for season. Sea view room with balcony very clean, if a bit dated in design. Had to switch off noisy old fridge to sleep; needs replacing with modern quieter one... Location fine; walk to Sami restaurants etc easy 15mins. The village where it is based on bay also has good restaurant on square. Melisani Caves nearby to visit."

"I booked the Meliti for my wifes 50th Birthday as a suprise. On arrival the property looked very inviting. We were led by the manager to the side of the property and shown our room. It was advertised as having breath taking sea views, this was not the case. We overlooked scrubland, power cables, parked cars and electricity sub station. We asked if we could be moved and were offered a larger 3 bedroom apartment at a cost of €155 a night, we had a think and decided not to move as this would have cost us an extra €930 and all we wanted was a nice view and outside space. The cleaning was absolutely spot on. Clean towels every day if needed, bed made and cleaned throughout, this is the only positive. Other negatives: Two coffee machines - no coffee capsules to use so hard to know what to buy. No washing up liquid. No washing machine tablets. No oven but advertised as having one (see picture). Private beach - Very small stone beach, not somewhere you would use and anyone allowed to use it. I would not recommend this property as having driven around the island and seen what we could have got for similar money this was very disappointing. "

"We have just had the most wonderful holiday here in Sami. We didn’t want to leave! Despina and her family are the loveliest people you could meet and they gave us lots of tips for places to visit. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, very quiet and chilled. There is a lovely bakery next door and you can also have breakfast on the terrace with fabulous views of the sea and the mountains. It is a stones throw from the sea and a short walk into Sami. We hired a car and the driving is super easy, just go nice and slow! We took the car to Ithaca for a day and visited Skala and Lassi and a couple of other places. But once we found the beach nearby, which is called Antisamos beach, we went there everyday. It’s a very easy 10 minute drive and very easy to park. It’s such a beautiful place, crystal clear waters, lots of free sun beds and places to eat and drink. Also a fantastic bar to go to with great music in the evening is called Manifiko in the heart of Sami, a short walk away. There are numerous places to eat too, all of which are delicious. We will definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to come back here to stay."
