The hotel was very understanding and kindly allowed us to reschedule our stay to another day. We were deeply touched by your flexibility and consideration. Today, we experienced another accident in the mountains. During this difficult time, one the staff was incredibly kind and supportive. She helped us communicate and translate with the police, ensuring that we could clearly explain the situation and receive assistance. Her help was truly invaluable in getting us safely rescued. In addition, the hotel manager and staffs generously drove us from the police station back to the hotel and assisted us with the necessary follow-up arrangements. Their patience, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond their duties meant so much to us. We are truly grateful for the care and support we received. It has been a blessing to be guests at Oosado Hotel, and we will always remember your kindness."

"It was the first time I stayed in a hotel on a trip and I felt hungry🥲 I spent a morning taking a Jetfoil transfer to the island bus from downtown Niigata to get here, and then I was told that I couldn't make a dinner reservation that day. You should know that we did not receive this information when we booked the hotel. We did not notice it on the website, and we did not receive any email or phone notification. The hotel suggested that we go back to the pier to find food, because the nearest hotel is not within walking distance, which is not feasible for us who are tired from traveling and have no physical strength. Otherwise the only solution is to buy some snacks from the hotel tuck shop for dinner. The whole hotel is Showa style and the room we stayed in faced north which meant you couldn't appreciate the sunset from your room. The only good thing is that the windows are facing the tourism attraction. Btw, The hotel facilities are quite old and some details are not very clean."

"We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The Japanese-style room had a separate bathroom and toilet and was very clean. The bathroom had a tatami floor to prevent slipping. The bath was cola-colored and not too hot, which was very pleasant. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The Sado rice and sake were also excellent. In addition to the regular meals, we requested a boat-shaped platter of sashimi. It was very satisfying with fresh squid, turban shells, abalone, sweet shrimp, and blackthroat seaperch. The next morning, they made simmered fish and fish soup (which was surprisingly ginger-flavored and refreshing!) with the leftover fish. We were given cookies when we left. The service from the manager and staff was also natural and pleasant."

"The hotel was spotless, and we really enjoyed our stay with services like the foot bath, welcome drinks in the lobby, a piano performance upon request in the evening, bus transfers to the illuminated Sado Gold Mine (Kitazawa Flotation Plant), and delicious 'oinarisan' (fried tofu stuffed with sushi rice) as a late-night snack. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a great selection of seafood from the Sea of Japan. Unfortunately, it was raining when we viewed the Sea of Japan from the hot spring, which was a shame. But we'd definitely love to come back again."

"I stayed for 1 night and it was fantastic. The whole hotel staff is very welcoming, attentative and supportive (I don't speak Japanese). I arrived earlier than Checkin time and they put in a lot of effort to make my room available. One of the employees also showed me how to iron in the room. The Japanese futon was surprisingly comfy and I slept well. All amenities are clean. I enjoyed the public bath at the end of my day. The breakfast was delicious. The view from the terrace incredible. I can only recommend this place."
