Like all other easy hotels, there are no desks, no chairs inside the room. But I can’t complain about a room at this price. I simply had food by the window I sat down on the floor. The room was clean enough. It is strategically located. It’s only roughly a 10 minute easy walk (just walk straight down the road!) from the coach and the train station. I thought they would charge for luggage storage, but they didn’t! Gave me a tag right away. Such a lovely reception!

The room /bed great, Other guests the problem, family 5 arrived 12 midnight, back & forth BANGING CAR DOORS each time, then 3.15am their car alarm goes off, night staff phoned her and her reply ”its always doing that” My suggestion you have LARGE notice outside and in rooms (as they doo at airports) Please close you doors silently as others are sleeping 24 hours -- some travelers sleep in late so it applies in day light hours too. Receptionist Katie was very helpful re where we could have breakfast and about voucher, which we bought, good value

We stayed at this hotel overnight during our trip to Peak District and Yorkshire. We booked this hotel due to my Accor All membership and we had minimal expectations considering this is an Ibis Budget hotel. The hotel is at the edge of the city but very central, only a few minutes walk to the main city centre. It seemed quite new/recently furbished and the rooms were simple but had all the necessities. The lobby is really nicely decorated and the staff are really welcoming and enthusiastic. Here are a few more details on my visit: Welcome: The reception staff was very efficient. It literally took 2 minutes to get our room keys. We were welcomed with a recognition of my Accor All status and offered free welcome drinks. The room was ready and waiting for us. Room: The room is simple but allowed us to stay comfortably as 3 people. The room was clean and there were tea/coffee making facilities, hangers and towels. I only felt the need to have a small table or something to put our stuff on since there was only a small amount of space that you can use as table top but it is a really minor improvement overall. Dining: Our stay included breakfast. The breakfast was nice and included many different options. However, there were hot ”English breakfast” style food. It really didn't matter since there are still boiled eggs and lots of options. I really enjoyed our breakfast. Location: While the hotel is really central, there are parking available around the hotel. We used the on street parking on the back street with a bit of worry for the safety of the car over night but it was ok. The hotel also has its own car park but it is 8£ overnight. Staff: Really friendly. They accommodated our needs at the best level service. I couldn't ask for a better staff. Overall, great hotel to stay when you are in Sheffield. Since the hotel is a budget hotel, you should have low expectations while arriving. But I'm sure it will go above and beyond your expectations when you are there.

WE HAD A FRIDGE The toilet sit had some soap smudge on it and initially thought is something else but if foamed when tried to clean it (I always have sanitizer with me as is only human to miss a spot and do a mistake. Didn't kill me cleaning that myself. Housekeeping job ain't easy. Bless you all. Just keep a better eye to avoid Karen type❤️) The receptionists were all friendly and happy to assist me with both check in and check out. We absolutely loved our room and the view was magnificent. The dawn was heavenly seen from our window❤️ What I loved the most was the fact that in the room we had a FRIDGE. Many hotels don't have that anymore and imagine having a room without a fridge with this heatwave going on 🥵 I will attach a photo with our beautiful view🤩 This hotel will be my top choice whenever I'll need a room around the area. Clean room, clean hallway, clean reception area. Please keep an eye for the accessible rooms. Read all description and detail before booking as they have special rooms for people with a health condition and the room will have some things at a low level to the ground. Will be your fault for not choosing the right room not the hotel's as you need to read description always. Don't take it out to the staff for your own mistake😊 Seen a lot complaining about that, as I've seen also about the rooms accessible and didn't understand the term initially, until I went through the details. After reading the details I knew exactly what room I need to book and what would not be convenient for me🙌 Bless you all and hope this review will be of help to some of you at least 😊

So after reading other reviews I was a little unsure what to expect after booking this hotel to be honest, however we were pleasantly surprised. We had a double room on the 7th floor which was very roomy, extremely comfortable king size bed, clean and tidy with everything needed (towels, kettle, iron, hairdryer) ample size bathroom which needed a little TLC but again was clean and tidy. Admittedly the let down was the breakfast that was included in the booking, this needs some attention as the food quality isn’t great and defo needs to be warmer with some more choice but all in all, did the job. Last time we stayed in Sheffield we at another hotel that had rooms like rabbit hutches and no windows and this hotel was better and will stay here again for a weekend when we are next in Sheffield

Everything is nice. But I just worry about the young lady at the reception. She seems has some problems with smiling, I found she couldn’t smile at us, she seems can only smile at those white people. She seems also has a problem with her ear that she couldn’t hear my room number correctly since the card couldn’t open the door and it needed to be fixed. Well, Sheffield is a nice city any way.

We stayed here the night before we were due to fly from Robin Hood airport and what a gem of a hotel! Staff went above and beyond to make our stay laid back and comfortable. Simon the duty manager was very friendly and helpful! Simon preempted our needs and approached us to arrange our transport to the airport with out us having to ask! The customer service we received was far greater than any other chain hotel we’ve stayed at. The breakfast has an extensive choice and although it was busy in the morning it was managed very well! The room was comfortable and met all our requirements for our stay. Overall a nice night away before we go on holiday! Thank you!

It’s a budget hotel but offers a great deal for the price. The area is very easy to find, straight off the m18, situated close to a Morrisons and McDonald’s do no need to be hungry, petrol station there too. Hotel has a large free car park, well lit at night. Entrance to hotel and reception is nice, bright and clean, staff really friendly and welcoming. Stairwell up upstairs rooms is chilly and a bit in need of decorating and a quick clean, but the actual room corridors are fine. Room is fine, basic, but it’s a budget hotel, what do you expect, it’s clean, quiet, beds comfy and there’s a telly. The bathroom was a bit of a handful however, which is truthfully the only reason I gave 4 stars, I’d have certainly given 5 otherwise… it’s no ventilation no extractor fan, and with a shower was a wet room smog, so steamy that you can hardly see where you’re at, the lighting isn’t great either, but it’s only a bathroom and I was in and out! Breakfast is fantastic! Great selection, fruit/cereal//coissants, toast, full English drinks buffet style, really good! Cannot recommend enough! Dining area is more or less in reception area so easy to find, comfy, and clean, the staff on are great, happy to help, welcoming, friendly and chatty, this is what it should be like! I’ve stayed in loads of hotels in the uk and it’s rare to get genuinely pleasant staff who actually look happy to be at work, seriously well done guys! I hope ibis read reviews, because for a budget hotel this one is very good! 👍

I have used this place a few times for groups. This time they really fell short. There is no one in charge. Very difficult to speak to a manager. Issues with the restaurant. Short staffed. Food was too salty. Soya sauce based dishes were not edible. No one asked when sent back unfinished if there was an issue. Only robots delivering food and very inexperience staff. Couldn't order more drinks in good time. Breakfast is buffet and is very basic. Ok. It is clean. However, for £250 a room I think that it is overpriced. Thank goodness for Trip.com much better rate 2 days before the event. Baths do not drain. Taps and fittings are loose or not finished properly. Poor customer service overall, despite having 5 rooms in our group and dinner for 10. Said they would call me back. Which they have not. That was after speaking to a man who said that he was not the manager, had only worked there for 8 weeks, yet told me that I was not familiar with the service industries! Such a shame. Will have to find somewhere else next time. Not a hint of a smile or an apology or anything to say that he would feed back. 🤷

From the moment I arrived on a very wet Wednesday night I was greeted by very friendly staff on Reception who processed my checkin really fast and pointed me in the direction of my room. The room was clean and well presented. For a budget hotel this hotel is great value.
