"Ze waren er met onze dochter en mijn vader. Ze hadden 2 kamers voor 2 nachten. De kamers waren groot genoeg. Het verwarmen met airconditioning voor ons een wetenschap. De verwarmingslichamen (ook in de badkamer) verwarmen niet wat niet optimaal was. Het personeel was super vriendelijk en het ontbijt was goed passend. De matrassen waren super! De locatie was zeer rustig. De foto's met tuin en uitzicht op de zee waren iets misleidend. We hadden het terras in het binnenhof, dat was zeer gezellig. Of het andere is, weet ik niet. Voor de Amalfi kust was de prijs ok. In ieder geval een geweldige accommodatie met vriendelijke gasten!"

"This is the town of Ravello, situated at a high elevation on the Amalfi Coast. The villa is beautiful and has its own garage with a remote-controlled door, which was a key feature when booking this villa, and it didn't disappoint. The room also has a sea view, and breakfast was enjoyed with an unparalleled ocean view. Walking up to Ravello, you'll find numerous scenic church squares and pedestrianized restaurant streets. The famous Villa Simbroney, built in the 11th century, is located on the hilltop. When planning my trip to the Amalfi Coast, I considered booking in Amalfi Town or Positano, but since I was driving, there were almost no hotels with their own parking in those towns. Therefore, I ultimately chose Villa Giovanna in Ravello. Its high elevation, quiet location, and stunning scenery make it convenient for driving to and from the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, and Naples."

Its musty , struck us immediately in our room .... we approached management with this .. sorry Charlie you’re stuck there !!! "We took two rooms for 3 nights having driven in convoy with our daughter and her husband plus a dog from London. It is impossible to park at the hotel or even get near it with a car due to the terrain, but they make every effort to offer advice on secure parking. Everything was in place and the parking company delivered us to the spot where a charming valet collected our luggage and we walked up the quaint and perfumed alleyways to the hotel. What a beautiful, historic hotel set in stunning gardens. With only 19 rooms but a plethora of staff it was a perfect stay. Breakfast, poolside lunch, bar and dinner at Il Flauto di Pan were all perfect. Not over fussy and the flavours clean with wonderfully fresh ingredients. We will be back!"
Adagio Ravello
"Adagio Ravello is a decent and not so posh property, we went around mid-august when it was quite hot. The only downside of the property was that the rooms did not have ACs, whilst the living room had 1 AC which saved our lives ! The staff is quite helpful - Marco ! The hotel's location is great, 28 mins to Amalfi town. the rooms were quite spacious , despite having 2 rooms there was only 1 toilet again a bit of a let down. The rooftop infinity pool is a scam , it is a portable make shift arrangment so dont keep high hopes from the pics that you see on the webportal or other websites. "

The suite itself was fabulous, with a huge amount of room (especially for getting ready on the wedding morning) and the most jaw-dropping views from the huge terrace. The staff were so welcoming and accommodated our every need. The hotel is perfectly positioned to explore Ravello and the restaurant offers views and amazing food! "The best place to stay on the Amalfi Coast! We went to a few different places and the Garden hotel in Ravello was by far my favorite. The staff makes you feel like you are a part of the family. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The room was perfectly clean, there was complimentary water and coffee everyday and would definitely recommend including breakfast (it was delicious). The most incredible part of the room was by far the view. It was absolutely stunning, like nothing I have ever seen before. An amazing price for the value you are provided with. It was not noisy at all, was able to get an amazing few nights of sleep. For amenities, the pool has a beautiful view. They also offer personal training sessions and spa sessions. I would go back 10x over if I could."

De Amalfikust kan erg overweldigend en druk zijn, en ik raad je ten zeerste aan om Giuseppe's transfer te boeken. We hebben het eerder geprobeerd met het openbaar vervoer en twee grote koffers, en dat was een nachtmerrie – niet aan te raden. Het is het beste om een scooter te huren in Ravello. Van alle uitzichten aan de Amalfikust hadden we het mooiste uitzicht vanuit onze accommodatie! We hebben het daar fantastisch gehad."

Il Giardino Dei Limoni
"We stayed for 9 days in late September. Its not a B&B, there are 7 apartments over 2 floors. We stayed in the top leftmost (when looking out to sea) which I think had the best view. It also had a roof over the balcony so we could sit and watch the rain (it does rain!) When you arrive with luggage its best to get to Amalfi and catch the half-hourly SITA 5110 bus (there is a stand with Ravello written above it) Get off at the Ravello terminus (just before the tunnel) and walk back on yourself down ‘Via Della Republica’. It is easy to miss the right turn (see photo) onto ‘Via Cassanova’ because the "streets" in these little hillside villages are sometimes no more than alleyways with stairs. After climbing down the 56 steps you will see the gate (its lit but no sign!) into Ill Giardino Dei Limoni which is then another 69 steps down. The wooden front door has no sign but ring the bell and someone will come. First lets say that yes, it is 2 star and fairly basic in terms of equipment. There is no microwave or kettle and virtually no coat hangers. There is a toaster though and enough pots to make "the pasta" There is a cupboard full of biscuits and snacks and a fridge freezer with enough : milk bread butter. preserves, juice and yoghurt , cooked meats and cheese to last your entire stay. The bed is extremely comfortable (I had a memory foam topper that I didn’t unpack) The owner was amazing , He even opened up the garden fior us to sunbathe The large separate bathroom had a bath and separate shower cubicle with overhead and standard shower heads (very strong water pressure!) and plenty of space for toiletries; makeup etc and a hairdryer. You dont need to go up to Ravello to eat. There are restaurants on Via della repubblica (Sea view pizza) and an amazing bar set back on the bend in the road (with a kind of Grotto) You can walk down to the sea (ignore other reviews) you just rejoin ‘Via Cassanova’ and go down a lot of steps until you reach ‘Via Zia Marta’ (an actual road) . Then its left with a lot more steps down towards Minori (the Marmorata hotel is at the bottom) or right to merge onto Strada Statale (on the Ravello bus Route) which meets the Amalfi Drive coast road nearer to Atrani/Amalfi. You can get the bus either way (SITA 5220) to further up/down the coast. Minori and Atrani/Amalfi are walkable. I am an overweight 62 year old and I managed quite a lot of walking down steps. We minimised the "up steps" by taking the bus to Ravello and walking down. The taxis are extortionate (see photo of rates from Ravello to other towns), so even the comparatively rich Americans generally took the buses and the ferries. If you want to catch the ferry to Positano or Capri go from Minori as it won’t be as full. You buy ferry tickets at the booth on the harbour.
