Le Pavillon de Pampelonne ★★★★

"Please note this is not a 5 for a luxury hotel but a 5 for what it is. It is a small motel but a nice sized B and B Our room was cute and the bathroom shower had warm strong water flow. One window did not have dark curtains so light was present in the room at night The pool was large and refreshing. The grounds and views were beautiful. You can even see the Mediterranean from the pool area The house keepers and kitchen staff were terrific. Management took care of our needs. There is no shuttle so you need your own transportation or Uber. It is best not to have too large of a car. Ours was hard to park. Breakfast was 26 euros but you could have anything you want We met really nice guests by the pool that made it more special."

La Ferme d'Augustin ★★★★

"I have known this little part of heaven on earth for over forty-five years. For me and my family its like coming home. I knew the origional owner who was head of the local resistance in the last world war. Squat tough and a terrific sence of humour. Taught me to play boule but only if there was a pastis at hand. I went early in the morning to market with him, a pastis with a coffee was de rigeur. I first went there to work and arrived at night it was very dark but a cold plate had been left in my room. Slept like a log to awake to flowers, sun and a delightful warm welcome. Breakfast on the terrace was fresh baguettes etc. home made jam and creamy butter. Delicious coffee. AND the food was beyond delicious. Breakfast is served now until 11.30 in your room or a quiet spot in the garden. The running of the Ferme has passed down the family and is now in the capable hands of Christophe who has inherited the special Ferme warmth not just from the sun but his greeting. The Ferme now has a swimming pool dug from Augustin's boule pitch. He would not have minded as the pool has a fabulous outdoor bar. The cocktails prime one for lunch or dinner. Non-fussy fo. od fresh and well, just perfect for me. I just love the way fresh fish is shown and then discussed how one would like it cooked. I could write a book about the Ferme but suffice to say that I went there three times the first year, before I was married the second time. I had my second honey moon at La Ferme! La Ferme is 150 m from Plage Tahiti who have a geat bar, have not tried the food because, well the Ferme's is only a little stroll away. By the way a thoughtful car is on hand to take one down to St Tropez, ten minutes drive For me and my family, who have all grown up, go there with my grand children. It is a bit special."

"This charming hotel is really very comfortable, nestled in the pine forest, far from the hustle and bustle of Saint Tropez, 20 minutes away. The pool is very cosy, as are the rooms, and Joel the concierge is very attentive. the fact that the hotel is quite small offers a very intimate setting"

"What a stunning place, pretty damn close to paradise. I almost don’t want to say it, but it seems ridiculously cheap compared to everywhere else I checked in St Tropez, usually places with much worse reviews. Why - just because it’s slightly outside St Tropez, in Ramatuelle? It’s literally a 5 minute Uber into town, or a 20 minute walk if you feel like it. But if they want to charge so little, who am I to complain? I’ll be back."

Hôtel Villa Marie Saint Tropez ★★★★★

"My friend and I spent 6 nights at Villa Marie in July. I had heard good things about the hotel from so we were excited to try it. The property is pretty but was not for us. Check-in: Staff at reception were nice and check-in was relatively quick. Our room was not ready, so we had lunch at the restaurant while we waited. Staff: Aside from reception, we did not find the staff to be over friendly or helpful. If you wanted or needed anything, it was up to us to ask, and even then, it could take several requests before you got what you needed. In the 6 days we spent there, we were never approached by the manager or anyone who asked how our stay was going. Location: The hotel is 10-15 min from town and 10-20 minutes from most beaches and beach clubs. Many people like that it is close to nothing and therefore quiet, but for us we found it taxing to have to cab anytime we needed to leave. And speaking of quiet, you can hear a pin drop everywhere you go on property, from the pool to the gym to the restaurant. I have not seen people speak so little before on vacation. Spa/Gym: We didn’t visit the spa but we did use the gym each morning. They don’t have much equipment but it was just enough so we could make it work for us. Food: The food was overall disappointing and the menu at lunch and dinner is tiny and doesn’t change. We were there for 6 nights and we were bored of everything on the menu by day 2. If the food were amazing, we wouldn’t have minded eating the same things over and over, but it was average at best. Room: We had a suite with terrace that overlooked the restaurant (roof) and a bit of the sea. The room was fine but not large enough for me to consider it a suite. The furniture and rugs were old and needed to be cleaned, it all smelled a bit musty. Water: They give you 1 bottle on each side of your bed each night and that's it. All the other water you pay for which I don't enjoy at a 5 star hotel. Pool: If you want 100% silence, then this is the pool for you. I never heard a sound during our stay from anyone. And we had to stop the bar staff every time we wanted a cocktail or bottle of water. They would bring it, and then never ask again if you would like another. If you want complete silence and no one speaking to you, including the staff, then this could be the hotel for you. If you want any kind of lively interaction, stay somewhere else. We will stay in town next summer."

"Incredible environment with renovated paddle and tennis courts. The staff and treatment are very friendly, it is like being at home. The Mediterranean cuisine by the pool is excellent, with fresh products of the day. We rented two houses and the truth is that for 15 days we hardly wanted to leave the hotel. Looking forward to returning again next summer."
