We stayed at Peppers for Christmas and New Year holiday. The location is great for walking distance into town and walking to 4 mile beach is an easy walking distance as well. The oil is great and very kids friendly with a nice Sandy shallow edge all the way around. We have a ground floor room with a spa bath and this was used a lot in the evening to relax, you don’t have full privacy so wear your swim suit but that’s no problem. The rooms are nice and comfortable for two people. The breakfast is not buffet style you order off a menu and they have almond milk which is great if you are like me and enjoy a almond mocha or hot chocolate. The only downside I have to this place is they don’t give you complimentary water in your room. Nor is there a water fountain where you can fill up your bottles during the day? Unless I’m missing something but they try to be eco friendly with their room service cutlery and food packaging but no eco friendly options for water. I drink anywhere from 1-3 litres of water a day especially up in a tropical climate. So definitely a few water fountains installed around the place would be amazing. Some places I’ve stayed have both still and sparkling water fountain options. Other than that we had a great stay and the staff were really nice, the small gym is good for a quick cardio and simple weights workout and the layout we had no trouble with. 11-17/03/21 This is the second time I’ve stayed at Le Cher Du Monde in Port Douglas and it doesn’t disappoint! The apartments are fabulous and have everything ones needs to relax and enjoy their stay. The rooms are private, clean, well stocked & nicely set out, each with their own balcony to enjoy the stunning views. Centrally located on the main street , it’s just a quick step & a jump to the shops, cafes & restaurants, marina, beach & everything else this great place has to offer! Car parking is available which was also very handy. As a solo traveller, i always felt safe and that was an added bonus! As like last time, the staff are lovely, very welcoming and always willing to have a chat or suggest some places to visit - you may even be lucky enough to get a cuddle from the resident dog!! Thank you so much for making my stay so enjoyable - I can’t wait to come back again... I highly recommend! Sarah G

Booking our stay at the Coral Beach Lodge was a bit of a last minute thing and I must say that I was a bit dubious about the communal kitchen, but I was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and a good size, which included an outdoor table and 2 chairs outside the sliding door at the back of the room. The pool was lovely! There was also a table tennis table and a pool table which we had a few games on. The communal kitchen was great as everyone was friendly and chatty with each other. I think this may be a back packers place as there were a lot of young travelers there. We did plan a barbecue for that night though, but the gas bottle was empty so we cooked it in the kitchen. They are building a bar there but it won't be ready until April. Overall, a nice place to stay and was only $99 for the night.

Unfortunately this visit to Port was a family death & funeral. We made a booking sight unseen as we needed to have a place to stay at very short notice. The staff were very accomodating as we potentially had a late check in which was no problem. We had a king size room which was clean and well presented. Had an outdoor spa and a balcony which was very nice. Had 2 large pools and 2 BBQ areas. Room had both aircon & fan and was very comfortable. It was very convenient a short walking distance to the heart of Port. Would recommend

The environment is good, there are standard resort scenery, pool, pool table, bar are OK. At night, the lights under the swimming pool are dim, and it feels very suitable for the swimsuits to line up, but unfortunately the pool is not open at night. Health, the overall facilities are not bad. In the evening, the hotel restaurant can order some western food, and the price and taste are not bad. The only thing that is inconvenient is that the traffic is not convenient. If you want to go out for dinner and need to walk for more than half an hour, the hotel can also help to call the bus, but it is still not convenient.

The hotel is in a very central location, on the edge of the city center street, very quiet, but close to the beach, not a 5 minute walk away to enjoy a reclining beach or a beach walk and watch the sunrise. In addition to the master bed, there is also a small room with a single bed, which is suitable for families. There is a microwave oven, a kitchen sink and cute tableware, which can be used for simple cooking. Large-scale cooking must be in the public kitchen. It's a little inconvenient. Although it is not cleaned every day, the cleanliness of the room is not bad. All in all, it's worth recommending.

Great location. Two pools everything we needed to keep two teenagers fed. We did the 3 bedroom and really enjoyed the location. 5 min to 4 mile beach 10 min to town and we walked it that awesome tropical heat 🥵 car parks seemed plenty. Used the washing machine a few times in our unit and the communal dryer, all included. Have Foxtel, basic tea coffee for your arrival and I hired a beach towel $5 for the week! Thanks 🙏🏿

Port douglas apartments have underground parking garages for convenience. No elevator. No breakfast. The owner Robin is enthusiastic. The room is nice, bright, clean, 70 meters from the beach, at the end of Macrossan Street, very quiet. Especially suitable for vacation. Just a few steps away is the end of the four-mile beach. There is a walkway on the left side, 1.3km long. Stay a few more days. If you come from Cairns, rent a car at the airport and drive for up to an hour. You can also drive to Dancui Rainforest by yourself. Don't listen to the boss's flickering road conditions. It is recommended to join a one-day tour. It is well worth taking a cruise to the daintree river by car. You can see wild crocodiles. If it weren't for this small group to be sent back on time, we could just wait to see wild crocodiles attack the cows standing in the water. regret! Picture one is a hunting scene photo we were unable to wait for. The video is a daintree river boat ride to find the crocodile.

Room was ok, on the smaller side, basic. Could do with a freshen up, I.e. rubbish bin in bathroom with rusting lid. TV ok, had foxtel, no streaming services. Quiet enough at night to sleep, but noisy otherwise, pool means kids up early playing and could hear people in halls/above. Not ideal if you want a holiday sleep in. Pool was nice, quite cool in temperature. Music definitely too loud, hard to relax with it cranking all day. Given the reviews was better than I expected, but wouldn’t want to stay for a long trip here. More a motel than a hotel/resort.

Awful experience. When we first arrived it was great. Lovely service then it all went down hill. We were given keys to someone else’s room so when we opened the door someone else’s things were everywhere in there. We then went back to reception and they moved us to another room right next door to the laundry mat and also a lift that was being renovated. When I asked about noise and if this was on their website they said an email was sent out. This was not the case had we of known we would have looked elsewhere. I asked how close to the noise it was and she said we were 3 rooms away. Again when we checked in. Our room was directly next to the lift. I asked if we could moved and was advised they were fully booked (this wsd not the case as we checked the website and there was rooms available) we then asked to speak to the supervisor and was met with a very inexperienced unprofessional young man who proceed to do absolutely nothing about it and offer us $25. Are you kidding! He said he would email it over. $25 would barely buy a garlic bread in their restaurant. when we did finally go to the restaurant we said we wanted to use the voucher. We checked our emails and had nothing. The gentlemen’s then said we needed a physical voucher from reception which we didn’t get. Again focussing on the “managers” incapabilities . Hardly compensation for the horrible experience. We then went to our room and overnight the air conditioner didn’t get what felt below 27 degrees and the room was awfully warm. It also makes a horrible noise so now we had a sleepless night to top it off. Awful awful experience and I won’t be back or recommending this hotel. If your going to stay in port Douglas do yourself a favour and stay closer to the Main Street as this is also about a 7 min drive to the shops and nightlife.

A hotel searched on the Internet, the facilities are complete, the rooms are spacious, the price is good, the quality is good, the port is very close to the port of Douglas, the surrounding food and beverage supermarkets are all available, the whole is value-for-money, satisfactory. However, as a high-scoring hotel, there is still a gap in service. I haven't cleaned the room for two nights. Indeed, I have come back for a day, and I haven't moved in the room. I wonder if there is a rule to live without having to clean it? It doesn't matter, it's okay to clean up. I just told the front desk in advance that I had to leave the store at 7.30 in the morning of the second day, but the next morning at 7.30, the front door and window of the reception hall were closed, no staff on duty could be found, no one answered the phone... The luggage was taken down, and It is inconvenient to throw it and then send the room card to the room. In desperation, the room card is stuffed from the door seam, and the reservation customer service is sent to inform the check-out email... The result is unknown. I will start by saying I am not your typical nostel stayer. I am 36 years old and was visitng Australia on a solo vacation. I really loved staying at the Port Douglas Backpackers. I opted for a private room and honsetly think it was one of the best deals in town. I had my own private bathroom and the hostel offered many of the same amenities you would find ina standard hotel. It had a lovely pool, great staff that were happy to both help you find tours, answer questions and welcome and introduce you to other guest and staff. I felt very welcome and well-taken care of by the staff. The room was spacious, great AC, clean and even had a TV ( aluzury in a hostel), . For the most part, it was quietThe location couldn't be beat. Only a few minutes walk right to the heart of the village. Access to lots of coffee shop, stores, grocery, bars and restaurants. Port Douglas is a charming town and I wish I had booked more nights at the PD Backpackers. I would highly recommend it for travelers of all ages who are looking for an affordable option in a resort town like Port Douglas.

I’m in 2 minds about writing this review. The resort managers were absolutely lovely, it is a family run business and I love that. The location is good and the facilities are great, beautiful pool and bbq area with plenty of seating. Our 2 bedroom unit was spacious and well fitted out with full size kitchen and laundry. But… The unit is tired and not in great condition. Tile falling off the wall in lounge area, couches stained, door to laundry fell off (hubby fixed) dust was really thick on the back of the headboard in bedrooms, I cleaned as I couldn’t cope with it! The kitchen utensils were so greasy and sticky they had to be washed before using or we just didn’t touch them. Mould throughout the shower and as it was black tiles and grout you really couldn’t be certain to the extent of mould and grime. The curlews (which I love) sit outside the screen doors during the night so there is bird poop all over the patio. We also had concerns about one of the scrub hens who seems to have a damaged leg, hopefully a wildlife cater can assess it? Normally I would have asked to change rooms, but we were so tired from our travels we just didn’t have the energy. I was planning on chatting with management on checkout but we must have left early as office was closed. There is also a lack of obvious rubbish disposal points, our bin was overflowing and we would have liked to empty it but couldn’t find a place to do so.

Awful experience. When we first arrived it was great. Lovely service then it all went down hill. We were given keys to someone else’s room so when we opened the door someone else’s things were everywhere in there. We then went back to reception and they moved us to another room right next door to the laundry mat and also a lift that was being renovated. When I asked about noise and if this was on their website they said an email was sent out. This was not the case had we of known we would have looked elsewhere. I asked how close to the noise it was and she said we were 3 rooms away. Again when we checked in. Our room was directly next to the lift. I asked if we could moved and was advised they were fully booked (this wsd not the case as we checked the website and there was rooms available) we then asked to speak to the supervisor and was met with a very inexperienced unprofessional young man who proceed to do absolutely nothing about it and offer us $25. Are you kidding! He said he would email it over. $25 would barely buy a garlic bread in their restaurant. when we did finally go to the restaurant we said we wanted to use the voucher. We checked our emails and had nothing. The gentlemen’s then said we needed a physical voucher from reception which we didn’t get. Again focussing on the “managers” incapabilities . Hardly compensation for the horrible experience. We then went to our room and overnight the air conditioner didn’t get what felt below 27 degrees and the room was awfully warm. It also makes a horrible noise so now we had a sleepless night to top it off. Awful awful experience and I won’t be back or recommending this hotel. If your going to stay in port Douglas do yourself a favour and stay closer to the Main Street as this is also about a 7 min drive to the shops and nightlife.
