If you want five star luxury, this hotel isn't for you. But if you want french meets indian chic style with antique furniture, four poster beds you need the boxes provided to climb onto and an oasis of a courtyard for dining, then this is the hotel for you. The location is excellent being based in the french quarter of Puducherry. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. Top tip ... ask for an upstairs bedroom. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again.

Very clean and a cute hotel with extremely polite and helpful staf. Overall a delightful experience. Mr. Suresh was particularly very prompt and helpful. Our stay was more pleasant qith the support given by the team. Wonderful place for a short peaceful vacation.

We had a wonderful four night stay at the Hotel. It's a lovely heritage property located in an ideal part of Pondicherry for tourists. The staff is courteous and helpful. The ***ager, Mr. Suresh was especially very proactive. He did help us with some good suggestions of authentic restaurants closeby and also took care of all our requests during our stay. Highly recommend for people who are looking forward to a heritage stay experience in Pondicherry.

Could have been a 5 but let down slightly by staff training which seems to be getting worse generally in India (7 trips since 1991). Great French villa hotel with fine furnishings and a good restaurant. Service issues were staff on check in appeared to be a trainee and order forgotten at breakfast.

This could be a very quirky hotel in a great old building but it is extremely run down. Our room had some interesting pieces of furniture but unfortunately the bedroom and bathroom were in need of a good clean. The shower was so scaled up only a trickle of water could come through but luckily it was hot. The breakfast was very basic although you could have a reasonable omelette. Out of the 10 hotels we have stayed in during our 3 week trip this was the worst yet one of the most expensive. Not worth the cost. The staff tried to be helpful when asked for something. The website photos are very deceiving!

Like other reviewers I feel this could be a fabulous boutique hotel but it needs an enormous investment first. We stayed for three nights and I was glad to leave. It is hard to say much positive about our experience except the person in charge did try hard to be helpful and the location is good. Sorry not to be more positive but considering the price we paid it wasn’t a good experience.

This could be fantastic it is a renovated school and has the bones to be a great boutique hotel. But it’s sadly unloved has no charisma and though staff are helpful it feels they lack direction. There’s no uniform for staff - the restaurant staff are keen to help but not properly trained and tea and coffee are served in steel cups . There’s no breakfast menu it’s a bit of guess work with what you can . The room was comfortable but again unloved . Coffee was replenished. Walls need a fresh lick of paint . A hallway is filled with odd furniture . There’s no fresh flowers or fruit or objects to bring life to the place . It sells its self as a heritage hotel sadly that heritage has mostly been removed. It could be so much more with some direction. Most infuriating thing was our room kept tripping and in the middle of the night we lost power only resumed when we went down to reception. Not once were we offered a new room.

Stayed for three nights. This could be SO good but it has a rather tired neglected feel. Rooms are a great size but have an unclean feel. We had no hot water for our entire stay, not a huge problem in the heat, but for the price we paid you should really be getting some warm water. Breakfast ‘buffet’ was minimal. Location is indeed great. We heard that they changed ownership in 2021 and maybe it’s been COVID affected but with some proper investment I hope they get back on their feet. Otherwise, the newer hotels will take their business
