"Anyone would love it here. The rooms are great. The staff is lovely and very knowledgeable about the area . The restaurant is excellent. Americans (and Europeans, I presume) might love it even more though because Spicers perfectly fit my image and expectation for Australian wine country, right down to the other guests mostly being people up from Sydney rather than off an international tour bus. I could see sunsets right from our room that seemed like they were from a movie set. There are kangaroos hopping around the property, especially early in the morning when us jet lagged Americans are already wide awake. Compared to places of comparable quality in Napa Valley, the prices were very fair. And they’ll do a bag of laundry for $30, making it much easier to pack light on your long trip!"

"Great location, several wineries very nearby. The owners were helpful to check us in remotely using key pin and drop box. The pool and grounds are relaxing on a warm day after touring the valley. The property looks “rustic”, in keeping with provincial charm. everything functioned well and we hope to rebook on future visits."

"Gezellig, rustig, welkom. Een gul ontbijt werd elke dag rond 8 uur geleverd en was mooi om op de grote veranda uit te eten. Het zwembad was diep genoeg voor een verfrissende splash op een warme middag. Tennis voor het ontbijt was leuk."

Tower Lodge

"Tower Lodge is truly a 5 star experience, from our arrival to our departure our stay was truly memorable. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to our suite which was one of the most beautiful rooms I have had the pleasure in staying in , the high ceilings , the open fire and the sumptuous bathroom , truly luxurious. Breakfast and dinner is included in the room rate which is something we would generally avoid but would advise everyone not to avoid as the food is 5 star fine dining using local ingredients and cooked by a chef who you know just loves what he does . The level of service and friendliness of all the staff was outstanding and they could not do enough for us with bookings for wineries and personal gin and whiskey tastings which are a must . Finally I have to mention the owner Michael who introduced himself to us on our first night and was a fountain of knowledge to the history of the lodge and all the other parts of the business . His passion was infectious and made our stay more enjoyable. We will 100% return if we ever return to Australia."

"We hadden een zo mooi verblijf in Palmer’s Lane Estate. De rust van het gebied was precies wat we nodig hadden. Vreedzaam, ontspannen, en omringd door een prachtig landschap. Het huis zelf was ongelooflijk goed gedacht. De keuken was volledig uitgerust met alles wat we nodig hadden (ook weinig touches zoals bugspray en hand sanitaire), waardoor onze verblijf zo comfortabel. Alles was schoon, tevreden en zeer goed onderhouden. Een speciale dank aan de gasten, die zo zorgvuldig en overwegend ons een vroege inchecking aanbieden en zelfs ons een extra uur bij de check-out geven, die we echt waardeerden. We hebben echt elk moment genoten en zullen zeker terug zijn voor een langere verblijf!"
