La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Phoenix Thomas Road

This place is very disappointing the walls and the bathroom do not look clean also the doors and the paint.

We booked a two-night stay in this hotel, but due to concerns about security and safety, we checked out the next day, and the room rate for the second day was not refunded.

There was no Wi fi as advertized. The door had a gap at the bottom so you could hear noises from outside the room. The curtains were in bad condition and could not get any privacy.

After I checked in and went to my room, I tried to connect my work laptop to the wifi, but was unable. I went to the front desk and pointed this out, and I was told that the wifi was out. This information was not told to me during check-in, and I feel it should have been disclosed at that time. I told the worker that I booked this location because it advertised free wifi, and I needed it because I was on a business trip. I was offered a refund, but because I booked through *******, the worker told me that ******* needed to initiate the request for a refund by emailing customer service department for La Quinta. After several attempts by *******, and 5 days later, La Quinta finally replied to ******* and denied the request for a refund. La Quinta stood by their policy of no refunds. However, in this case, I feel that I had a very valid reason to request a refund, since they did not have wifi as advertised. With respect to the condition of the room, there was a very stale odor as I walked in. Looking down at the floor, I was able to see small pieces of crumbs and other fine particle debris, a clear indication that the floors were not swept or mopped. The bathroom counter has dried up "something" on the surface, a clear indication that it was not scrubbed or wiped down. The flat part of the base of the toilet where the bolts are located was covered in dried liquid, probably a combination of water and urine, and also had dust and/or dirt particles stuck to the dried liquid.
