"We hebben ons verblijf in Balcom echt genoten, dicht bij de nabijgelegen winkels (grocery, Starbucks, Tim Hortons) 5 minuten rijden naar het Okanagan meer. De kamer is schoon en ik vroeg om extra handdoeken dus ik hoef ze niet te bemoeien, blij dat ze ons extra vooraf gaf. Desk stoel heeft een beetje schade blijft mijn broek vernietigen wanneer ik daar zit. Niet in staat om hun tv te gebruiken zou geweldig zijn als er een netflix of disney. We genieten van het warme zwembad. Ik heb zelfs getuige van aurora borealis tijdens onze 2de nacht."

"We checked in on August 1. The property is in a beautiful location, but unfortunately our arrival experience was disappointing. After about four hours, our room was still not cooling down even though the air conditioner had been running continuously. As we were travelling with a toddler, we called the front desk for assistance. We were initially told that the room temperature would be adjusted remotely to 21°C, but nothing changed. When we called back and requested that someone inspect the unit in person, the receptionist instead explained how to use the thermostat, even though we had already tried those steps. During the conversation, her tone came across as irritated, impatient, and dismissive rather than helpful. Instead of listening to our concerns, she repeatedly explained how to use the thermostat, even though we had already followed those steps. She also asked where we had booked our stay, which made us feel uncomfortable, as it seemed to suggest that booking through a third party might affect the service we received. She then placed us on hold, but instead of returning to the call, she disconnected it without any explanation or resolution. Being hung up on while simply trying to resolve an issue with our room felt disrespectful and was the most disappointing part of the experience. When we called again, we requested a refund because of how the situation had been handled. The hotel then offered to move us to a different room, and the air conditioning in the new room worked properly. This made us feel that there may have been an issue with the original room’s AC all along."

"Het hotel is nieuw gerenoveerd, maar kan meer verfijning gebruiken op de finishes. Nieuwe vloeren die schoner voelen. Nieuwe uitrusting en meubilair. Locatie is niet te slecht omdat het alleen steen wegwerpen van de supermarkt en snelle voedselrestaurants. De ingang van het hotel is slechts een beetje vervelend gelegen. Kan ook gebruik maken van een beetje meer training op het hotelpersoneel over kamerservice en check-in en check-out proces."

Four Points by Sheraton Penticton at the Convention Centre ★★★

"We had a great stay at the Four Points. It was a last minute booking as a previous hotel had fallen through. Staff were so kind and attentive and really helped us get what we needed. The rooms were very spacious and clean, the microwave and fridge were great touches. We were near a lift which was quite noisy throughout the night. And for the price of the rooms I think it should include breakfast to compensate for having such a tiny swimming pool. Otherwise a great stay in good location. I’d definitely recommend."
