Dear Duecitania owners, Your hotel is magnificent and I LOVE it. The architecture, the details, the workmanship are superb. Your natural pool and surroundings are stunning, and, very importantly, your staff are lovely, nice, helpful. Ah yeah, also the spa! Unfortunately, you need to look for another chef and another maintenance manager. Why change them? Because food and hospitality require love: love of taste, love of detail, love of choice, love of attention to detail. Because maintenance needs love for things that work, are clean, have square angles where required. And the love is lacking in the food and in the maintenance. 1. We arrive in our room on the 3rd floor; the wifi is abysmal, the fridge does not work, the water pressure is miserable, and the towel racks need to be tightened and squared up. And in the spa, the barrier to walk down into the jacuzzi must be put back in, the sauna and the vienne shower are still not working since last time we came. Also, can men with long feet have appropriate slippers? Your maintenance manager (if you have one) does not walk around looking at what works and does not work. Same with the bacon.. arrives later. And why have to ask the staff to cut the grapes bunches into manageable sizes? The hotel is located in the old town, near shopping and restaurants, from the Christian Convention, 15 minutes walking, upstairs and downstairs. It is comfortable, large bed and modern decoration. Very quiet and rests very well. Good price and customer attention. Breakfast has the required variety, good quality and price. You must confirm it the day before. Start at 8:30h.

The hotel has a strong sense of design and VI does a good job. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the city centre. The space of room is large and the bed is comfortable. Although there are not many kinds of food in breakfast, they are good quality and there is freshly squeezed orange juice.

Good location for exploring Tomar sites on foot, many restaurants nearby. Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet, nice public spaces (lobby bar, outdoor pool). Stayed in a “superior room” which was huge with a large sitting area and balcony, comfortable bed, free onsite parking. An affordable luxury compared to larger cities.

We stayed two nights at the Vila Gale hotel, as we were part of a group, our bus was unable to reach the entrance we had to walk about half a block, the lobby is amazing with lots of details of history of Tomar and the way to the rooms is hidden behind a door that is covered with decorations. Since it is a very old building, that also is connected to another one across the street, there is an elevated bridge and that connects to the dining room and other rooms. My room was very nice and warm, the bathroom is large and comfortable, just there was a tiny problem with the shower drain, but I shared the info with the reception. The hotel is beautiful and worth the visit, Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner....will return

The hotel is well located in the center of Tomar. It is great for those coming by train as it is just a few minutes from the train station. The staff is attentive. Breakfast is delicious. It has a good variety but could serve for example apple juice. I recommend stopping by the terrace at the end of the day to watch the sunset and dusk with the castle in the background. Too bad they don't have a spa or massage service.

Beautiful historic hotel, comfy rooms, clean, quiet, fast hot water, loved the elevator, perfect location, nice breakfast, delicious coffee. The highlight was how helpful Louisa was with our confusing issue with the trains going on strike. She immediately researched our journey and found us solutions. I was amazing and will be forever grateful! From the moment I explained our predicament she went above and beyond to help us. The hotel alone was fabulous but Louisa is the diamond in this palace!

This is my go to hotel every year. The best hotel around this area in Portugal. The ladies are amazing. From front desk to the cleaning staff. They will amaze you with their kidness. They go above and beyond to meet our needs. My daughter doesn't drink regular milk and they provided almond milk as soon as they found out that that is the type of milk she drinks. Breakfast is amazing and fresh. The Coffee machines are incredible. You can get a fresh beverage 24/7. The place is the cleanest you will ever find. It is deserving if a 5 * review.

Very quiet hotel. Despite the magnificent building, all the staff are very close to the guests and care about their happiness. This time I stayed in a superior room with large windows. The area and direct light of the toilet are all you like. The restaurant offers a balanced buffet, exquisite breakfast and everything you want. Restaurant service and decent breakfast.
