I have experienced a great experience during my language stay. It has helped me improve and meet people around the world! It is quite nice because it forces us to speak English. The location is well located near the whole walk, transport right next to the city, with the school we have been able to realize several exits to discover Malta, those that is really cool is that it has a swimming pool and it is very hot to Malta 😂, I recommend!

Excellent property with great location, extremely clean and comfortable, super friendly staff. Teo was extraordinary! He was a true example of excellent hospitality. He made our trip more exciting in Malta by guiding and giving us tips about the city and the attractions to cover in 72 hours. He made sure that everything was arranged for us accordingly. I couldn't thank him enough for the excellent level of service he had rendered. We will surely visit H Hotel on our next holiday and expect that will recommend your hotel to our family and friends.

We stayed on the older side of the hotel. Room smelt of damp and when we complained they came in and bleached the floors nothing else. There was only one socket in the room which kept crackling. The breakfast was average but we went up the road to Debbie’s Cafe which was great. The pool upstairs was good with nice views but the drinks were overly priced. We had a couples massage “Back, shoulders and neck”. My other half only had his neck massaged. I had all parts it felt good but later that day I experienced some horrific neck pain and felt as though a muscle had twinged. Not worth the price we paid. We went to the Thai Fusion restaurant the views were great but I wasn’t over impressed with my dish to start as is was a red curry in soup water, thankfully they took it back and the taste wasn’t so bad. Again felt it was over priced for what it was. Over all hotel was okay, but the services within were very overly priced. I also think had our room been on the renovated side we would of been more positive on our review as our room was outdated and stunk of damp.

We always book at gilluru hotel either a weekend break or a day by the pool the food is extremly fresh and very tasty

I was very happy that they treated me kindly and courteously without showing any dislike at all, even though my understanding of English was not good at all.

Well, what a great hotel. We arrived on the opening day after a name change from the last hotel name (same owners, different name) We was meant to go to Las Vegas but it didn't happen so we went to Malta. The Hotel was stll being refurbished but a lot of the rooms was open, We was given room 3124 a gorgeous room, with a really nice view. We was shown to our room by Vikky (Viktoria, the Guest Relations Manager) after being checked in by Natalia (i think) We also got a bottle of wine for our long awaited honeymoon as our honeymooon kept being cancelled including the Las Vegas one. As Hilton Diamond members we get breakfast included in our room rate, Breakfast is an expansive affair with far too much to choose from, i went for Salad, i know, crazy right. but topped it off with a nice omelette. The outdoor pool is small but very good, the indoor pool much larger but far too hot for us. Service is great and fast, they was always out taking orders and bringing drinks quickly so you could enjoy more outdoor time. After a few days of being there we asked if we could upgrade to All Inclusive which turned out to be very good, we'd done everything we wanted to do in St Paul's bay so wanted to hang in or near the hotel. All the food is delicious and drinks, although confusing of what was allowed for AI customers, i made the suggestion of having a drinks menu of what drinks ARE allowed as we got a lot of you 'can't have that' A few members of staff made our stay really fantastic and always took the time to say hi and have a great conversation. These include Vikki (GRM) Lorenzo (bar supervisor) Jason in the same bar, always happy, always friendly and Desislav Juniper bar and other staff that we just didn't get their names. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main Square with a vast amount of shops, bars and restaurants. This used to be the old Dolmen Hotel and they have retained a lot of their staff, it's been nice seeing them adapt to a new system which can be challenging but they will get there in time. At the time of writing this review, there still are building works going on but getting less and less as its all getting finished. Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Myself and my fiancé visited this resort and it was an excellent hotel, in a lovely part of Malta. The hotel was very clean, with very nice and obliging staff who were extremely helpful. The breakfast offered a great choice of foods including continental style, cooked traditional English breakfast foods, as well as cold meats and cheeses with an array of pastries. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and lovely shower and bath facility, as well as a balcony to relax on. The resort has its own private beach area which is only a short walk away, as well as having 2 outdoor swimming pools. The housekeeping staff were extremely efficient, and always left the rooms looking fresh and new. The bar area is very welcoming and relaxing providing a good choice of cocktails at a fair price. I would 100% come back here, and although this is my first visit to Malta, so I do not have anything to compare it to in terms of other hotels in Malta, I would say that it has been a brilliant experience so far staying here and have enjoyed every minute of it

Perfect location, we were on 5th floor and stayed from saturday to tuesday at last march weekend, if there were any street noises, we didn’t hear anything (our windows were located on main street), balcony was a great bonus to spend evening with pizza and wine. All shops and restaurants are in few minutes. Nice reception 24/7, delicious and various food at breakfast menu. All toiletries were included, towels and hairdryer. Additional warm blankets, but room was warm, used them for sitting outside. Huge free parking lot. Out stay I rate 10/10.

Perfect location. Clean room. Great service. Good view. But.... I visited in March when it was very cold. No heating and the sliding door had many gaps where the wind whistled in so my two nights were very cold and no additional blankets.
