"Stayed at Shakya house for 4 weeks while writing my thesis. It was absolutely Perfect! Saajan and his family invited me with open arms and took care of every need. They even invited me to celebrate Dashain with the family, an experience wich I Will never forget. The room was clean, hot water in the shower and a decent breakfast. Nothing to complain about. Also big thanks to Rana who become a good friend of mine during my stay. I’m fleecet grateful for my stay with you and hope to see you again in the future!"

"Ik vond het hotel echt leuk. De transfer is gratis van de luchthaven. De werknemers zijn zeer oppassend, ze hebben onmiddellijk koffie aangeboden, de kamer is warm en schoon. Het enige minder van het hotel is zijn locatie. In de avond, binnen 20 minuten, u zult de toeristische sites niet bereiken. Maar ik ben nog dankbaar voor deze ervaring."

"Premium Guest House beheerd door KGH, dat staat voor Kathmandu Guest House. Dit is hun Patan branch. Niet zo gepolijst als hun hoofddepot in Thamel, maar een zeer mooi herbouwd Newari gebouw in het busterende commerciële gebied van Patan omgeven door koele kleine cafés en restaurants. De kamers zijn schoon, schoon en helder met alle.basisfaciliteiten. Hun meest economisch kamercategorie, degene die we boeken (kamer 501) was ongeveer 20% kleiner dan op trip.com aangekondigd. Wees voorzichtig dat er geen lift is. Voor ons op de 5e verdieping was geen probleem, maar voor sommigen kan het te veel van een klim zijn In het algemeen hadden we een goede verblijf, het personeel was vriendelijk en de heer Richin de manager is zeer goed in het beheer van het hotel."

"I've stayed at a few other hotels in the Thamel area in a similar price range, and this one was overwhelmingly cleaner by comparison. I was surprised at how meticulously they cleaned the room every day. What really set it apart from other Thamel hotels was that the sheets and towels were genuinely white and clean. The breakfast, though simple, was delicious, and all the staff were very kind. As for the downsides, if you're over 170cm tall, you'll find yourself ducking in many places due to the hotel's traditional architecture, even in your own room. I bumped my head several times before getting used to it. Also, the water pressure in the shower isn't great. On the first day, there was no hot water in the shower, and the front desk staff's response wasn't very courteous. They told me to use the shower in the next room but offered no apology whatsoever. During check-in, they also just rattled off the bare minimum information. However, this particular staff member was the only one who wasn't friendly."

The Location: Tucked away in a peaceful, quiet residential area, yet incredibly convenient. Shops and great restaurants are just a short, easy walk away. The Apartment: Exceptionally spacious! It was wonderful having a separate bedroom, a comfortable living room, and a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The Hospitality: The owner was incredibly kind and thoughtful, even delivering a delicious breakfast straight to our apartment. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Kathmandu!"

"This homestay has an absolutely amazing location! It is inside Patan’s Durbar Square so you are staying right inside a living museum! Do note- if you want to see the rest of the square and the museum inside, you must visit the ticket desk in the front of the square and purchase a ticket. You can use it for multiple days and trips to the museum, it is just your contribution to the preservation of the space. I also ended up hiring a guide for a historical tour of the area- which I would recommend. We walked around for about two hours and he shared a lot about the history and the importance of the Durbar square and palace. But, if you do not want a guide, it is not required. I stayed in the female dormitory room and it was really comfortable! The bedroom and attached bathroom was really clean and cozy. I did not spend a lot of time in the room during my time in Patan, but I would stay here again if given the chance. You are RIGHT in the square, so it can be loud if there are activities happening- but it was not a problem after 8pm so I did not mind it. The staff is really great and friendly, this was a really great place to stay! "
