Hotels in Patalavaca

Perfect location, beautiful views and close to some of south Gran Canaria’s best locations. So many restaurants! It’s 0.05km from Patalavaca beach. 20mins walk from Anfi or Arguineguin. 10mins taxi from Puerto Rico. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. Booking Tip book direct and get discount. English speaking, friendly reception. I stayed in a Premium Sea View room. The view was spectacular, (I’ve added photos from room 602). The ocean is just there and Patalavaca beach is stunning. Non-seaview rooms are because there’s high wall that goes round the hotel and hides the view. Clean, comfortable beds. Good wardrobe space. Towels, hairdryer, kettle, toaster, plates, cutlery, glasses etc. Open the balcony door for a great sea breeze as there is NO aircon or Fan – This may be a dealbreaker for some. Additional Room costs: Safe and Pool towel. Get the breakfast, it’s full continental. The large pool is accessible most of the day. There are sunbeds are all in sun hotspots with umbrellas and a poolbar/food till 4pm. Walk out the pool door: for amazing beaches and swim spots. (Anfi has watersports). Good restaurants, Tapas, Anfi. Restaurant Valentino, Patalavaca. Taste Meson, Arguineguin. Puerto Rico for nightlife. Patalavaca. Walk out the pool exit facing the ocean. The walk is under a minute to the first beach. It’s a natural beach, not busy at all on weekdays. It has a great swimming area and a lifeguard. 5mins walk either side reveal more secluded and interested swimming spots. If you like snorkelling, then there are some good shoals of fish in the middle and smaller fish near the rocks. The hotel is 20mins walk (out the pool exit) to from Anfi beach. It’s next to the Anfi Timeshare area, which means lots to do and yes you can access it all. A man made pretty cove beach with swimming, small shopping centre, water sports (paddleboarding, pedalow, paragliding etc), dive ventre and modern restaurants with light evening entertainment. Anfi – Italian, Tapas, Tex mex, Maroa Island -night market live music in some restaurants till 23:30 It is also 25 mins walk from Arguineguin Harbour and main beach. There are some great swimming spots and more tapas based restaurants along the way. Before covid there was a great day market in Arguineguin. Maroa Island - The closest thing Anfi has to Ocean beach. Fancy sunbeds, great cocktails and food. You pay 12-25 euros for a secluded sun bathing area, it can get more pricey depending on the type of sunbed or area to reserve. It is also right next to a deep sea swimming area. Hike: You would need to ask reception how to get to the base, but there is a small rockyhill/mountain with a cross at the top. It’s a great walk up, apprx 20-30mins up and 15mins down (if you are athletic). You can see the whole bay from the top. Go before the sun hits the majority of the mountain or the for the sunset. It’s stunning gat the top. I walked up every morning before breakfast. Puerto Rico – Taxis are 5 euros

Very suitable for parent-child vacation, the hotel has arranged a lot of programs from morning to night. The design details of the hotel are super beautiful and ubiquitous, perfect African style. There are 9 swimming pools, you can definitely find the place you want to lie down and relax. There is a long row of shopping festivals and small restaurants at the entrance of the hotel. The Tujiu restaurant is the most authentic and delicious. Book a package for two meals, the buffet dinner is good, that is, you need to order extra drinks, the hotel swimming pool is very large, the room is large, the room is large, the lobby can rent a car for self-help, especially convenient, there are many cactus in the hotel, away from the special The famous desert walks more than 10 minutes, and it’s awesome to run along the coastline in the morning.

The service was excellent, both in reception and restaurant, but the services in the facility were a bit unfavorable in the sense that personally, as I was with my pregnant wife, I had a room on the lowest floor the first day, everything was fine because there is an elevator, but The rest of the days they had them out of service, which in a place like that I think can't go wrong. The gym was a bit poor and the only machine that it had did not work well, the impossible parking on the second day was that I was able to get one and pay it to the hotel, when you go to make a reservation you will see a buffet breakfast option for €4 that does not exist lol. The rest all good. I think that services such as the elevator should be guaranteed to keep them in optimal conditions. For the rest all good.

Spent 4 nights at Bluebay Beach Club across the back end of November. Overall I wouldnt say it was a bad holiday. You pay for a cheap holiday, you get a cheap holiday. There are a few things I would change or update. Firstly the rooms definately are outdated, so dont be suprised with them. TV socket was hanging from the wall not secured properly, however the view overlooking the sea is brilliant and its a huge balcony too. Youre hardly going to spend much time in the rooms anyway, but it would be nice if a bit more time and money were invested into them. The rooms are big, completely seperate bedroom to the living room, with a kitchen that has everything you need. Dishwasher, oven, toaster, big fridge. So if you want to cook in your rooms its easy. Television we had to pay to get the international channels. It was €10 for 3 nights that we took, you could do less or more depending what you wanted. Also had to pay for a safe which is €4.50 per night. This was frustrating though because you shouldn't have to pay extra for a safe or to have tele seperately, Im sure most would agree that youd much rather have both of these included, but have it charged within the cost of the holiday itself so you dont see it. Would make much more sense just to increase the price of staying at the hotel by £50 per package and have that cover the costs of the safe and television. Customers would appreciate that alot more. The hotel is right next to a little airport so you do get a few planes going over to land or take off. Didnt bother me at all, but its something to be aware of. This only happens during the day and it isnt constantly happening, and it isnt overnight or early in the morning There is a shop downstairs on site so you can get all your basic needs there. Water, juice, bread, snacks, shower gel etc for the room. No chemist though. For the chemist you have to go out the hotel. Because we know the area very well, we was getting taxis down to one of the better beaches by San Agustin shopping centre, which was a 5 minute taxi drive and cost €7 there, and then €7 back. The food in the restaurant wasnt too bad. Get your mix of pizzas chips, some nights, others its fish, chicken rice. You do have to pay for drinks when having your dinner though! This was annoying because again its a hidden cost you dont expect. Again, itd be better to just charge this against the overall cost of the hotel so you dont see it, but you get it. Our room was quite high up so we didnt see any cockroachs at all in the room, but it was a bit of a walk to the reception. We did happen to stay next to a noisy parrot though which was a shame. Not the hotels fault, nothing they can do about a neighbour who has a parrot out. It would sometimes be noisy middle of the night so if youre a light sleeper you would wake up, but it does stop and go quiet for hours on end and it wasnt every single night that it made noise Pool area is really nice with lots of sun loungers and places to sit. Let's start with the good things - the communication with the hotel even before arrival was relatively good, they responded to our inquiries regarding the room location request, but of course they kept giving an answer that they did not commit, but when we arrived, they made a note and gave us the location we wanted (in retrospect, we did not choose well - details below). There are many sun beds around the pool, the room is spacious and the location of the hotel is excellent. Now for the things that disappointed us - we asked for a room in the center facing the pool because of the view but we found that during the whole day there is a very, very strong sun on the balcony to such an extent that it is not possible to sit there all day, it's a shame they didn't put a beach umbrella or a pergola. There was no microwave in our room even though it was supposed to be (we didn't even bother to ask), during the first three days there were massive renovations in the hotel. At first the reception representative told us that it was something specific but it really wasn't, we saw that they had put scaffolding in the rooms next to it to renovate the balconies and also on the roof there was a large team working noisily with a drill and at the same time trucks arrived and unloaded sand into the garden. All this when the hotel was fully booked in one of the most requested weeks of the year. At the entrance to our room there were glasses from the room next door that were probably pushed out for the cleaner to take but they stayed there for 4 whole days. Even though we locked the room, the cleaner entered the room (locking it from the inside has no meaning...). One day the power went out in the gym and none of the hotel staff noticed at all (I went to the reception to inform them) and the hardest thing of all - at breakfast which is in the open bar by the pool there are a lot of pigeons that come and sit on the tables and the bar and the food stalls. Most of the food is enclosed in glass installations, but the surface of the bread and the heater and the drinks and the jams and many other things are exposed to the pigeons that come and sit on them and none of the staff does anything about it. Today there are many solutions for imitating ions even using electronic sound devices. Beyond the fact that it was disgusting, it is simply dangerous, a pigeon sitting on a surface of bread is diseases. Another thing, there is a nice bar by the pool but there is only one bartender/waiter so the waiting time to get a drink is around 25 minutes and the service is not very welcoming either. There are two large and beautiful pools but the water is really cold (it's a shame they don't heat it) and it will be really difficult for smokers. There are no smoking areas at all in the entire hotel except for standing in the strong sun next to a bin in the corner of the pool and restaurant area, unable to sit down and unable to put down a drink. I've stayed here many times - last time in september 2022. The staff at the reception are so lovely, and always give me a warm welcome and are otherwise very helpful. Early check-in, late check-out, room allocation, cant fault it - its usually no problem (depending on capasity of course). Stayed 2 nights this time, shortly after going to my room i got a lovely surprise delivered to the room. It was very much appreciated! Breakfast is wonderful, with everything you could desire. Staff there and in the pool bar was nice and helpful (minus one time at the pool bar, waited and did not get served). Im coming back in July this year, and cant wait!

I am currently staying in the don Miguel and what an amazing hotel and experience we’ve had, the rooms are perfect very modern and spacious when looking at other reviews they do sound like they have never been here before couldn’t have any complaints about the room if I tried, me and my girlfriend are here I’m 19 and she’s 18 and we found this a great hotel for young couples and pretty much everyone as there is a really great mix of ages and nationalities, it is a very diverse hotel which feels very welcoming to everyone, the service is amazing the staff couldn’t do more if they tried, the food was good it does have a variety in the night for people like me who is very adventurous with my eating and the basics depending on what you like, we only stayed for a week but I could see if you stayed longer and ate in every night you would maybe get a little bored as the selection is a decent size but I would highly recommend eating out ( papis grill and the hardrock cafe are amazing, also the tipsy hammock!) the facilities are amazing here and easily earns its 4 star status really hard to find a fault in this place, will definitely be returning

Bellissima location moderna e ricca di confort. Purtroppo in camera hai una bellissima macchina caffè nespresso ma con solo 4 capsule .. non ne hai altre a disposizione quindi sappile sfruttare al meglio durante il tuo soggiorno ! Colazione super ! Piscine da sogno! La zona vip molto silenziosa ma con le stesse caratteristiche della zona comune. La zona esterna è cosparsa di letti balinesi molto belli e comodi ma purtroppo sono a pagamento ! Complessivamente soggiorno da sogno assicurato !
