De kamers zijn goed schoon en heeft een vriendelijk personeel goed eten met veel opties in vegetarië ook. Afstand van de stad geeft vreedzame ontspannen reële vakantietijd. Moeilijk geprijsd voor de waarde van geld en vrede."

"Incredibly photogenic 5-star hotel located just 20 mins from Paro Airport. Booked a junior suite for 2 nights at the end of my 10-day Bhutan trip and enjoyed every minute of it, including all the modern luxury amenities in my room alone which included an authentic Bhutanese ground coffee complete with French press! Every detail exudes class... down to the toiletries and in-room cutlery. The architecture is simply gorgeous and the main hotel building which houses the reception lobby and restaurants also has numerous comfortable seating areas overlooking the Paro valley... great for relaxing, sitting quietly or reading a book. There's also a small Buddhist temple at the top which you can visit and take pictures of - a good preview of what's to come from you Bhutan trip if this was your first stop. Food was generally very good, offering a good mix of Western dishes and an authentic Bhutanese platter... again, a good introduction if this is your first stop in Bhutan. But as I was already on my last leg of the trip I opted for the Western options including the beef burger (very good) and twice-cooked pork belly (a bit tough). Like what I had experienced for most of my trip, locals seem to still need to get the hang of cooking meat, something perhaps not widespread given the Buddhist culture. :) Otherwise, the food, including their homemade ice cream was excellent. Staff was incredibly attentive, hospitable and responsive, as one has come to expect from the very gracious Bhutanese people. If I had one feedback is that there was NO BIDET in my room which was really strange given that even the smallest 3-star guesthouse I stayed in over the course of my holiday had one. I mentioned this to one of the staff who explained that they were slowly upgrading all the rooms to have a toilet bidet, so I guess I was just unlucky I got one of the older rooms (which was still gorgeous nonetheless)! So don't forget to request for one if this is something you're expecting. Overall, a great way to pamper yourself after all the physically taxing hiking and driving through Bhutan. You can easily spend a day simply soaking up the beauty of the hotel (which I did!) and enjoying all the other FREE activities (which I didn't do as had already seen/done them all earlier in the week!)."

"The boys and girls here are very kind, quiet and clean, but there are a lot of insects. The hotel also provides mosquito repellent, which is the same as Punakha Hotel. Punakha has air conditioning. Everyone must have the habit of tipping, their wages are very low, and drivers and tour guides sometimes need to find their own places to live and eat."

"Het was een schoon kamer, een goede matroos, een koffiefaciliteiten en een fitnessruimte die enorm en zeer goed uitgerust was. Het restaurant personeel was uitzonderlijk en maakte me zelfs speciale gerechten die ze dacht dat ik zou willen. Het eten was meestal een stel maaltijden, gedreven door de smaak van de meeste gasten, dus er was indiaans eten voor ten minste 2 nachten. Ik moet echter vermelden dat het enorme probleem in dit hotel zijn de *&*&#(*& barking dogs. Hoewel het een functie van de meeste hotels in Bhutan, vooral rond Paro, heeft deze plek ten minste 2 honden die naast de deur wonen en ze constant de hele nacht doen. breng oorbellen, ik ben zo blij dat ik het gedaan. Als ik geen oorbellen had, zou ik het 2 sterren gegeven."

Het eten was ook heerlijk, en het personeel was zeer comfortabel en zorgde goed voor onze verschillende eetbegeleidingen. De enige neerwaartse kant was de Wi-Fi-verbinding, die vaak ontbonden was en soms moeilijk te gebruiken. Het is echter wel een kwestie van de internetinfrastructuur in de regio, en niet van het hotel zelf. In het algemeen had ik een aangename en comfortabele verblijf en ik waardeerde de gastvrijheid."

"One of best and most comfortable stays. It was completely worth every penny. The host was responsive and helpful even before we entered Bhutan by informing us the rules and requirements of a driver and guide. The check in was quick and easy. We were welcomed with a welcome drink which was much needed as it was a cold day. The chef(Mr Icha Ram Adhikari ) and the other staff ( Aita Maya) were kind and helpful. The food was amazing and the chef even made pancakes for us on our check out day. Everything was well organised, room was spacious and clean , all amenities were provided and everything was functional. The lodge is fairly close to both the tiger nest( must visit in Bhutan) and the paro market( amazing for shopping and eateries). We ended up extending our stay by a day and would recommended this place to everyone."

"Absolutely stunning location, beautiful lodge with a recently refurbished shower room which was huge. We absolutely loved it in our lodge. So peaceful, we were sad to leave. Evening buffet was good, specially prepared for the few tourists that were there. Breakfast ok, but it would have been lovely to have had more fresh fruit and curd available, we did ask and got some. Excellent Masala tea."
