The hotel is located fairly centrally in the island of Pingtan in a small village. Its exterior is nicely decorated with lights, and if you arrive late at night like we did, you’ll thank for that, as it shines like a beacon in a otherwise not very well lit street. The service shone from the beginning. One of the staff was ready to help us with our luggage and show us in, and there was no delay with the registration of my passport (something that as any foreigner that has travelled in the Chinese Mainland will be able to tell, is not something to take for granted), and was immediately added to WeChat, where through the entire trip I was kept updated on everything relevant to us as guests, from the time breakfast was ready, to the fact that a guest with a dog was going to stay in a room next to ours (to which they offered to change if we needed in case any of us was scared or allergic to dogs). Breakfast was always kept warm for us, even when we were coming down late and were not expecting it to be there, and in general the staff’s attitude was always what you would expect in a bigger, more established (and more expensive) hotel, but with a home-stay twist. The hotel is not very close to any scenic spot or touristic destination, but they offer a service of e-bike rental that we used through the trip, and that we’d recommend to anybody is staying here as it took transportation off the list of things we had to think about, and allowed us to fully take advantage of the central location of the inn. With 2 people per bike, going very far North, or South to the city (sometimes both in one trip), we never ran too close to empty our batteries. The room was clean, big enough, and as we were staying on the last floor and our door opened to a patio, very well ventilated. The patio also proved to be a nice place to sit and chill or eat, and I was able to make work I had to finish feel less of a sore in the middle of my holidays. The only things I’d add or change to the room experience are a place to hang clothes (there wasn’t any closet or the sort), the toilet paper (they offered tissues but they don’t feel the same when you want to, you know, keep your hands clean), and real towels (they offer disposable towels, but they’re just not the same). In conclusion, not only I would come back but I most certainly will, as I had an amazing trip and this inn played no small part in it. Would 100% recommend if you like less noisy, more home stay-ey atmosphere, and don’t mind to be a few minutes drive from the city.

Na lang zoeken, en gezien het feit dat ik een baby had, heb ik uiteindelijk voor Guohui gekozen. Ik ben erg blij met mijn keuze. Voordat ik bij het hotel aankwam, nam Manager Wu (werknemer nummer 491) van de hotellobby contact met me op en raadde me enthousiast een reisgids voor Pingtan aan. Toen we bij het hotel aankwamen, hielp hij ons zorgvuldig met het regelen van de check-in. Ik ben erg dankbaar. De ouder-kindkamer van het hotel is geweldig, ruim, heeft alle benodigde apparatuur en een gratis fruitschaal. Daarnaast zijn er speciale dagelijkse benodigdheden en speelgoed voor kinderen, waar beide kinderen dol op zijn. Op de laatste dag dat we naar het hogesnelheidstreinstation vertrokken, regelde Manager Wu zelfs een auto om ons erheen te brengen. Hij was zo attent. Mijn broer en zijn gezin, die met mij meereisden, waren zeer tevreden. De volgende keer dat ik Pingtan bezoek, moet ik zeker terugkomen.

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even before my arrival. They tried to contact me in advance, but as a foreign guest, I do not have a Chinese phone number. It would be more convenient if the hotel could ask for guests’ WeChat IDs through the Trip.com messenger instead. Upon arrival, the staff created a WeChat group and added me in, which turned out to be very helpful. Through the group, they assisted with all kinds of questions, such as recommended places to visit, how to rent an e-bike, and where to eat nearby. The responsiveness and service were excellent. The room was awesome — very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the view was fantastic. I also really loved the projector screen in the room, which allowed me to watch WeTV shows and other content. It made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable. The hotel provides e-bike rentals, which is a great feature. However, I was personally under-geared for the weather. It rained the day before, and the entire day was cloudy with temperatures around 11°C. The sea breeze was very strong and cold, especially when riding the e-bike with the wind blowing directly at you. Proper winter gear is definitely needed in such conditions. If the hotel could provide glove and jacket rentals, that would be an amazing improvement. In the evening, the staff even brought a small gift to the room. The gift was thoughtful and practical, and I really liked it — it was a warm and welcoming gesture that made the stay feel extra special. Breakfast was okay. Guests are seated on Level 2, and the meal is served to the table. As I come from a place where some Chinese do not consume beef, it would be great if there were options such as chicken or beef. That said, the beef noodles were actually very good. The Western-style breakfast, however, was quite average.

The location is off the main city but that is the charm of it as it is less crowded and provided the much needed serenity the place has to offer. The service of the place was excellent and delicately provided to suit your needs. It is simple, beautiful and very homely.

Pingtan Skyline hotel which we stayed 9 nights with 3 Dutch couples because of the World Championship Beach Handball was a super great experience. Location to the beach was great Location to nice restaurant super Service was very good and rooms were clean The service at breakfast was extreme great. There is a typical Chinese breakfast but with also fried egg. But fist morning we were asked by the manager what we would like after which she every morning managed to provide bread, marmelade fresh lemon, tomato etc Super helpful staff also at the reception always willing to help. Rooms are nice but no closet to put your clothes in which would have been nice

第一次來平潭，被這家民宿環境吸引到，感覺民宿主人很用心對待這一方小小的空間。前台有熱水、咖啡機，還有一間小書房。對面廚房，裏面收拾的井井有條，餐具應有盡有，有餐廳。樓上還有晾衣架、水池、露天餐桌。體驗感太強了。房間也乾淨，衞生間乾濕分離，太棒了。（不夠誇，字數有限衹能説這麼多了）

Honestly one of the nicest stays I have had in China. Came here for a writing retreat - such an amazing spot! Lovely sunrises, sunsets and nice walks nearby. Very quiet and rural feel - not many people around but great amenities (good coffee shop and restaurant, scooter rental). Staff were all extremely friendly and went out of their way to make my stay exceptional. Breakfast was great for a free breakfast. Don’t recommend going to “chase the blue tears” though unless they are a high level of density - not worth it. Better to just stay and enjoy the peace and tranquility nearby the hotel.

Deze homestay is heel bijzonder in het vissersdorp. Je ziet het al van een afstandje. Er is een parkeerplaats voor de deur en je kunt hem opladen (super langzaam). Wij kozen een tatami kamer voor 2 volwassenen en 3 kinderen om in te trekken. We gingen de volgende dag zand graven. De oom gaf ons ook gereedschap om ons naar het strand te brengen. Het is heel handig bij de achterdeur van de homestay.
