From check-in, Li Yuan (李媛）was friendly and attentive, swiftly handled requests, offered helpful tips for my stay and local areas and even answered my questions outside of her work time. She also offered a complimentary room upgrade, a room with great river view. Thanks to her genuine hospitality.
The self-service laundry service provided by the hotel is very helpful and convenient. The breakfast has a good variety of freshly prepared food.
The location is unbeatable. It’s steps away from the iconic Tengwang Pavilion, and a short walk to the metro (Line 1), riverside promenades, shopping streets (Zhongshan Road), and fantastic local restaurants.

"I was completely ‘WOW’ by the services and the cleanliness of my rooms during my stay at Shangri La Nanchang. The cleaners who cleaned my rooms were consistent in maintaining clean and sparkling surface top of my rooms. We were given connecting rooms (2713 & 2714) which made it easier for me to walk over to my children without stepping out of my room in my pyjamas. Manager Mr Hank Zhang ensured my stay was pleasant, convenient and enjoyable for me as he knew that I was staying there for 5D4N with my 3 children. Counter staff Ms Ava Li was friendly and professional in handling my request with thoughtful act and professionalism. Thank you to all the staff in Shangri La Nanchang for making my last lap of the China trip a pleasant, enjoyable and comfortable stay from 21 to 25 December 2024. "Facilities: It's really new, and everything is very smart. No need to insert a key card for power, the human body sensor is quite advanced.
Hygiene: Very clean and spacious. Everything is spotless, especially new, and the decor is also excellent.
Environment: It's particularly beautiful and very photogenic. The main hall is great for photos; any couch makes for a fantastic picture. It's very trendy and especially nice.
Service: The front desk staff are all very gentle and enthusiastic. They answer all questions and provide excellent service. I brought two young children, and the service was still very good.
Xuan Ying Travel Photography Courtesy: Also great value. The travel photography teacher was very patient, and the children all looked wonderful in the photos.
DIY Ceramic Hand-painting: We received a beautiful vase. It was a wonderful immersive experience. This ceramic hand-painting class was excellent, with professional teachers guiding us. We didn't have to worry about how to paint at all, and the children were quite inspired in their creations.
Double Afternoon Tea: The tea was also very nice. For afternoon tea, you could choose coffee, milk, or mousse cake, which was great. The children loved it."

"There are two Hampton hotels in this area, so make sure you enter the right hotel name in getting local uber. We made a mistake :-)
Front desk, Sean, was exceptionally helpful. He helped us to change room that is without cigarette smell, offered to carry online shopping boxes up to our room, and provided a tourist map. We thank his service.
It's a new hotel, so the facitlities are in good shape. It's located on the higher floors of a commercial building, so offered good view of the city. Sean tried to offer us room with river view but not available as we checked in late.
Breakfast is mainly local flavor, good for us but might not be to western travellers. But I do hope that foreigners try out local dishes. Hey, that's the fun part of traveling."

Well, I haven't been to every hotel in the world, but I've stayed in many hotels in many countries, and this one is my absolute favorite.
I can never recommend this hotel enough. Their service is better than I've seen anywhere and the staff is beyond friendly!
We stayed here for three weeks a year ago, and they all still remember us!
The laundry service is unheard of in any other place. You place your dirty clothes in a basket in front of your door, and LATEST the next day it's returned, your clothes clean and ironed.
The restaurant is open all day, and you can either order food or eat for free small snacks (drinks, fruits, congee, biscuits....). At 10 pm there is the evening meal, where you get a big bowl of noodles (you can choose the noodles and the sauce).
The buffet breakfast is very generous with a lot of choices.
Every evening, someone passes by the room to hand out yogurts.
The check-out is at 2 pm...! Has anyone seen that anywhere else?!
When you come back to the hotel after a day out, the staff will greet you with a ”Welcome home.”
Truly love this hotel!

What impressed me the most was the staff — every single person I interacted with was incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely willing to help. They even assisted me with returning a parcel, which saved me a lot of trouble. No matter what I needed, they were always flexible and solution-oriented, thinking from the guest’s perspective instead of sticking rigidly to rules. Whenever I had a question or needed help, I could reach out to them and they would do their best to solve it — even late at night or in the early hours of the morning. That level of dedication is truly rare.
The hotel is also very smart and modern. The in-room system can be controlled by Xiaodu, which made everything super convenient and added a nice tech-savvy touch to the stay. As a foreign guest, I really appreciated how foreigner-friendly the hotel is — the check-in process was smooth, professional, and hassle-free, which made me feel very welcomed.
The location is another huge advantage. The hotel is in a prime area, with a subway station just across the street, making it extremely easy to get around the city. The railway station is also only about a 10-minute walk away, which is perfect for travelers. Everything felt accessible and convenient.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect — service, convenience, technology, and location. I felt well taken care of throughout my stay. The next time I come back to Nanchang, I will definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

Overview:
I recently stayed at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang and found it to be a pleasant and comfortable experience, offering great value for both business and leisure travelers. Located conveniently in the Honggutan District, the hotel is well-positioned for access to local attractions, shopping centers, and the business hub of the city.
The Good:
1. Comfortable Rooms:
The rooms were modern, clean, and well-maintained, with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the room featured an ergonomic work desk, which was great for getting some work done. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like USB ports and plenty of outlets.
2. Facilities & Amenities:
The hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center, which I made use of during my stay. It’s not a full gym, but it has enough equipment for a quick workout. The business center and meeting rooms also looked professional and seemed perfect for business guests. Complimentary Wi-Fi was fast and stable throughout my stay.
3. Breakfast:
The complimentary breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes. From fresh fruit and pastries to local delicacies like dumplings, there was something for every taste. The breakfast area was clean, and the staff was attentive to refilling items and clearing tables.
4. Service:
The staff at Hampton by Hilton Nanchang were friendly and helpful. Though not everyone was fluent in English, they made a genuine effort to assist with all requests. I felt welcomed throughout my stay, and check-in/check-out was a breeze.
5. Location:
The hotel’s location in Honggutan District made it convenient for accessing both the business district and local attractions like Tengwang Pavilion and Nanchang’s Star of Ferris Wheel. Taxis and public transportation were easy to access from the hotel, making it convenient to explore the city.
The Drawbacks:
1. Room Size:
While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they weren’t particularly spacious, especially if you’re staying for a longer period or with family. It was fine for a solo traveler or a couple, but families might feel a bit cramped.
2. Limited Dining Options:
While the breakfast was great, the hotel’s on-site dining options beyond breakfast were somewhat limited. There is a small restaurant, but for more varied meal options, you’ll need to explore nearby restaurants or order delivery.
3. Noise:
Depending on your room’s location, you might hear some street noise, especially during busy times. It wasn’t overwhelming but could be noticeable for light sleepers.

JJason Zhou WSLocation: The location is not right smack central to all the popular tourist spots but it's close enough to get to 万寿宫 on foot (5 minutes). Also, it is close to the river and if you are lucky enough, you get a room with a fantastic river view!
Cleanliness: The hotel I am not sure if it's new or what but it's very nicely maintained. The beds are good, the sheets are clean and everything is really superb.
Service: Maybe it's just me (Singaporean) cause I am very impressed with their receptionist services like helping me out with payment, booking of car etc etc but all these according to my local friends, they say it's just the basic in service industries~
Facilities: Honestly, if you are here looking for a gym or a pool then sad to say, it's non-existence, even the breakfast I would recommend not to get it unless you are traveling with elderly and they need something to eat early in the morning then for that price point, it's still reasonable. Otherwise, go out hit the streets and there are tons of fantastic food options for you to choose from.
Lastly, overall impression is superb and it's definitely super value for money. In fact for the price I paid I would say it far exceeded in value. Which is the reason why, I will always choose this hotel when I am back in Nanchang~ (I tried other hotels, to be honest, the rooms are not as great)

Although the staff are not fluent in English, they use translation sofrware to supplement their English language knowledge and the staff are extremely helpful. First of all, the location is very convenient. The hotel is situated near Xiejiacun Metro Station, which makes it extremely easy to travel around the city. The Hengmao Dream Times shopping complex is also nearby, offering a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops.
