"Booked 1 nights accomodation in a Queen room for $125 which incl a complementary continental breakfast. Motel is located on the Newell Highway on the southern side of town. It is single storey with car parking out the front of each room, or in our case adjacent . It is indeed an oasis with nice gardens & date palms studded throughout. It is an older style motel. Very good & welcoming check in by Felix with lots of information. Allocated room 11 down the back. The entrance alcove has plenty of bench space with bar fridge, microwave toaster & electric jug. Its a comfortable room with openable windows, upright chairs & table. The bed was comfortable & we slept well, not being disturbed at all by any traffic noise. The curtains were effective & blocked out any light. The ensuite had squeezy soap, shampoo & body lotion. Wifi worked well . Theres a TV & air con, but we didn't use either. We took up Felix suggestion for dinner at the Club House Hotel, an easy 500m walk along a concrete path from the motel. The food & service was very good. This motel is extremely good value, with the complementary breakfast, the comfortable bed & the very helpful staff."

"We stayed in this quaint old building in a large suite fitted out with an eclectic mixture of furnishings. The suite was comfortable and clean, the bed was excellent and the host welcoming. The kitchen, while dated, had everything needed and the breakfast was very adequate. "

"Bedding configuration in the older style cabin was not what was requested. The floors were gritty and the walls had dust on them.There was mould on the ceiling near the bathroom from a previous leak. Air conditioning in the main bedroom was not used as the caretaker told us it was leaking and they couldn’t get it fixed during the holidays. Smoke alarms were not working as the batteries left near the television were flat/dead. Even the remotes for lights/ceiling fans didn’t work as the batteries needed replacing. These issues should have been fixed before we arrived. Price was exhorbatent during the Elvis Festival. It was $420.00 for 1 person per night (not 2 people as is normal) and $20-00 each extra adult per night for the older cabin. We weren’t given the price till October 2023, which by the was too late to find alternative accommodation. Compare the price to what they charge now. This was my 4th time at the Elvis Festival, but after this experience I definitely won’t be returning. The only good point was the location, although it was hard to find at night because the sign was not lit up. The pool and barbecue area were very good.Overall the place was rundown"
