B&B Cala Peppa

This place is as lovely as your own home ! Newly renovated with gusto, spotless clean, easy to self check in, smack in the middle of historic Palermo and yet a few minutes away from both ferries and the bus to/fro the airport. The final touch was being helped by the almost 80 years old father of the owner who looks like 60 and is sweet as if you were part of his family! We’ll be back if when I’m Palermo again!

Located a few streets away from the busy market, at night it’s quiet but in the day it’s close to the shops and marina. Recently renovated, it’s modern and clean throughout. If you have mobility issues, the B&b is spread across 2/3 floors up steep stairs. We stayed in the suite (top floor) with the roof terrace. Wonderful view and the roof terrace was a great retreat from the busy centre. Despite being 3 flights of stairs up, the room was great. Comfy beds, towels and shower gel provided. Breakfast consisted of croissants, bread, salami, cheese, yoghurts, cereal and fruit. A good choice and the croissants were fresh. Our return flight was late so we asked to leave our luggage in the B&b for our final day and nothing was too much trouble, appreciated them holding it as it meant we didn’t need to drag around Palermo all day! If we return to palermo in the future, I would book this B&b again without hesitation. We walked from the train station, took around 20 mins across the cobbled streets with luggage but was a nice way to explore. Train from airport to palermo centrale was €5.90 each way, a train every hour and significantly cheaper than a taxi/coach transfer

This central accommodation was an excellent choice and we really couldn’t fault it. It was clean and well maintained. Emanuel, the owner, was always at hand if we required anything. We recommend this hotel highly with the only downside being the lack of lift which made the stairs hard work with the cases- however Emanuel was at hand to help with this.

We got everything ready for a self checkin because we were arriving after 8pm. Getting in to the building was fine but the lock that was placed on the door did not work. We tried the code multiple times and it did not work. We found out later that they could have reset the code and that they were alerted that attempts were made. Unfortunately we did not know this and our phones were not working at the time.

Emanuele was a great host. Generous with his time to give tips on where to go and eat and what to see. Bed was very comfortable and accommodation was in a quiet side street close to everything. Parking was easy on street, and again Emanuele was helpful in explaining how to use the ZTL system. Highly recommend staying here

Our room was clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic, and the hosts were friendly and helpful - giving us a map of the area and suggestions for places to visit and eat. We had a wonderful stay. We highly recommend!

Located one street back from the road running along the harbor, the B&B Cala Peppa is well situated within the historic section of Palermo. It is a good value, budget friendly option with on-street neighborhood parking nearby. The room was simple and clean......ours had a private outdoor patio but that came with the need to carry luggage up four flights. The owner was quite helpful and offered quite a variety of breakfast options. If suggestions could be made, upgrading bath towels and sprucing up the entry lobby a bit could serve to improve a guest’s stay.

I have had the most amazing experience this year in Palermo… this one touched my heart - My stay was absolutely fabulous !! Best B&B ever !!! Thank you Emanuele for being such a great host! The room was so quiet and perfect, and your advises for visiting best places arround.. priceless! I ll come back in this nice, artistic, historical place.
