Sandman Signature Ottawa Airport Hotel

Friendly staff and good accommodation. Great location for a near airport stay. 

It was clean and the Chop restaurant is excellent! No views to speak of, but it’s close to some good shopping.

They were very nice and very accommodating of my special request. The only thing was the pillows were very fat and hard, and all the pillows were the same. It is nice to have a choice of thicknesses which I have found at other hotels. However when I mentioned on checkout they told me I should have called front desk and they would of fixed the problem.

We arrived at 2 and check in was 3 The system was down and had to wait until 3 to check in, I asked if it was still down at 3 what happens, nonchalantly she said we will figure out something My sons family was almost there and the kids where so excited about the pool so I asked if the kids could go in the pool before check in. They said no, pool was closed for maintenance. This hotel is not a 4.8 rate, more like a 3. Said the pool would be opened by six. After check in at 3 and everyone that was checking in got the door cards and none of them worked. Got the cleaning staff to let us in our rooms and then had to go back to lobby and get in line to get the key cards recoded. Finally worked. I called from dinner and they said the pool would not be opened that night, again kids disappointed. Went down for breakfast at 8 and asked about pool. They were waiting on maintenance to come back in, I told them to call our rooms when pool gets opened. They said they would know by 9am. Still no call at 930 so called down and still no idea if or when would open. They finally called at 10am and said it was opened. We all went in. Kids where finally excited about the pool. Very small pool for the prices of the room. The room garbages where left outside the doors for hours, someone should have been checking the halls to clean that up. Sat night after dinner went to the pool, no clean towels and people left the towels all around. My daughter in law told lobby, still have more

My stay was fine - certainly not a sandman Signature property like the ones in Vancouver BC but serviceable. The housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired though. It was clean as far as the beds, towels etc. but for a reasonably new hotel it’s looking a bit rough. Rooms need a good detail cleaning (baseboards, corners bathroom walls etc). I would stay again for the convenience but it isn’t the best.

Good location to airport. Pool and hottub was ok. Small size. Was not busy when we were there. Did not check out the Chop restaurant as we felt the prices were too high. Rooms comfortable and clean.

Love Sandman. Always a great experience with the friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Such a short stay, not able to have a full experience, however, it was convenient, pleasant staff and eating options

We were upgraded to a suite which was great but the cleanliness of the bathroom was poor. Kitchen area looked clean. Dust on skirtings and a very noisy A/C. Request for toilet paper had to be requested x2 as not delivered. Staff were friendly.
