The room smelled bad. Kind of like a locker room would smell like or maybe like wet carpet. You get used to the smell after time but it's bothersome walking into your room after a long day and your initial reaction is to hold your breath.

Not the most elegant hotel room I’ve ever had, but it was a very comfortable stay nonetheless. Room service was quick and kind. The in room breakfast feature was an absolute treat. Walking distance from all of Ottowa’s attractions. The restaurant connected to the hotel was also pretty solid. Overall, very good stay

We'd definitely stay again! The location is perfect if your priorities are seeing Parliament and experiencing the amazing restaurants and shops on Elgin street. We visited in February and everything we wanted to see/do was within a 25 min walk.
The staff were really lovely and happy to make recommendations -- especially the valets. The pool and hot tub are nice.
Only drawback(s) were we thought all rooms came with robes and slippers, which we were looking forward to for before/after the pool (nope), and we had a room that was cutoff at one corner due to the architecture. Not a reason not to stay, just bad luck of the draw.

We loved the proximity to the downtown area, helpful staff, easy check-in process, valet parking, on-site restaurant and bar. Rooms were decent, comfortable beds, great view of the park. Kids enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The gym and pool facilities were great and we had an overall wonderful stay.

Sadly the room 723's phone did not work forcing me to use my cell to go through the phone system to reach the right party and when leaving i had to use the phone at the elevator to call for my car which ultimately took almost double the time to have brought to the front door (approx 30 mins). The room across from our door had their dirty dishes on the hallway floor outside their door for most of our stay.
The trim around our room door wasnt there, allowing for light pollution from the hallway, ultimately affecting quality of sleep, my partner stating it reminded him of the movie Poltergeist.

For being a family weekend this hotel is not family friendly. The majority of its guests and employees were not friendly with children. Aside from the cleaning ladies and our server at the restaurant who were very friendly. We had multiple noise complaints. The walls must be paper thin because even just talking people complained. We have small children so it was never late at night and it wasn’t early morning either. Overall the kids were well behaved and respectful so it was ridiculous. We would never stay here with children again.
