"The room was very dark and dated, there were  a few cobwebs but other than that it was basically clean. The bed was lovely, great mattress, lovely clean sheets and extra pillows, we had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was clean as well. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but just not enough of them! We did not have time to make use of the spa, as we were there for a wedding so I cannot comment on that, but other guests told me it was good. I would stay there again."

"The pub did not indicate that the bedrooms were in the process of been refurbished, my room, No 1, was riddled with damp, so visible in various parts of the room and the bathroom, including plaster coming off the wall. I did complain but to be told they had no spare rooms, not a pleasant room nor experience as they did not seem to like that I had complained. Food mediocre, not worth the money"

"Een terugkeerbezoek, hebben we 5 keer gebleven en hebben altijd gelukkig met de atmosfeer, de kamers, het eten en vooral het personeel, die allemaal mooi, vriendelijk zijn en willen uw verblijf zo speciaal mogelijk maken. Uitstekend eten, zeer goede vegetarische opties. Een dorp zonder straatlichten, geen verkeersgeluid en goede cijfers van de zeer afgenomen House Martins nest op de oude gebouwen. Verder zeer aanbevolen."
