For a relatively small hotel the range and quality of options in the dinner buffet was amazing. The chef decked out in red was present in the dining room and made the difference between this being a good or great hotel !!!"

"We had an excellent 2 night stay at The Assala Hotel at the end of our 19 day trip around Algeria. Everything about the hotel was perfect. We were given a very large and comfortable suite ( room 301) with a small balcony . It was spotlessly clean and comfortable and even had a kettle and mini bar. However, I would like to comment on the reception staff who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. It was difficult to find a taxi so they even provided us with their own courtesy vehicle to take us to and from the shopping mall. We had a very reasonable lunch in the hotel restaurant and were allowed a late check out as our flight was not until the evening. The young man in reception speaks good English and his lady colleague was also most helpful so I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. A big thank you to all concerned."

"They didn't specify that we couldn't access the pool, even though we had booked specifically for that. The pool was under construction. We should have posted on the website that it wasn't available. The hotel staff didn't offer a discount or a suggestion after the pool was closed, but offered to come back the next day, and the next day it was still unavailable. The breakfast was good, but expensive for what it was. Be careful with the sliding door."

"Overall, a good hotel, though some renovations are needed, such as replacing the shower head or removing the limescale. The carpets are a source of allergies and unfortunately weren't cleaned, even after we reported it! Too many mosquitoes, and it's only May!!! The restaurant and breakfast were very good!!! The staff were smiling and very friendly. Value for money: I recommend it."
