Oyster Inn Connel

"Ik kan je niet vertellen over mijn verblijf, omdat ik de verkeerde data heb geboekt. Zodra ik het ontdekte, heb ik de Oyster Inn gebeld om te annuleren, maar omdat ik Trip.com gebruikte, zeiden ze dat er niets konden doen. Ik heb op Trip.com geannuleerd en de boodschap zei dat ze het hotel hadden gecontacteerd om te bevestigen of het goed was om FOC te annuleren. Volgens trip.com, er kwam geen antwoord, dus mijn boeking was niet geannuleerd. Mijn boeking is sindsdien "voltooid". Toen ik het hotel de volgende dag contact opnam om te vragen waarom ze de annulering niet hadden goedgekeurd, zeiden ze dat trip.com gewoon om informatie had gevraagd, niet om de annulering te goedkeuren. Wie liegt? Ik zal niet meer gebruiken trip.com en heb besloten om elders te blijven in Oban."

Melfort House

"Beautiful house and gardens. Matthew welcomed us warmly and explained everything. We stayed in the Loch room which has a beautiful view of the loch. Everything was comfortable and the decor excellent. There is even complimentary whisky provided. The bed was large and helped provide a good night’s sleep. We were able to lay in bed and watch the birds, including woodpecker outside. Breakfast was good and set us up for the day. I would recommend a stay here."

"Perfect location for oban. Dont pick small room if your in couple...too small. Lovely view of bayfrom some rooms and lounge No breakfast available. Lovely house with lovely host. Everything clean and well kempt. Car parking on site Got there early and host gave us access to room which was a bonus"

Oban Youth Hostel

"This is a stunningly good youth hostel. We stayed in a family room and had comfy beds, warmth, a shower and toilet, and most importantly a huge window looking out at the sea and the bay. There are lovely hanging out rooms downstairs, with equally lovely views. And a great kitchen and dining area. The staff were so friendly and helpful too. A really great place to stay in Oban!"

Palace Hotel - Small Hotel

"The room overall was okay. I thought I booked for a queen bed but instead had room 14 with twins. My wife and I never slept apart except for trips and we pushed the beds together. Very hard to move. There were no instructions for how to use the European hot water device and had to take a cup bath.THE BAD part was the climb up the stairs 4 flights of stairs for room 14. Room 14 has great views but not worth the climb."

"Jan en Daz zijn geweldige gasten, vriendelijk en konden niet genoeg om onze verblijf perfect te maken. We hebben twee nachten verbleven, echt comfortabel en uitstekende ontbijt. Er is genoeg te doen in de buurt en Jan en Daz wijzen u in de juiste richting. Een uitstekende zoektocht en we kijken uit naar de terugkeer"
