Excellent breakfast, clean rooms and fun games onsite like crazy golf. I had party of 3 adults staying in the hotel side. Best value in the area for a room with 3 or 4 adults. Highly recommend for a trip to North Devon"

"I’ve been fortunate enough to be well travelled and stayed in hundreds of hotels but this one is one of the best. The little details make this place so special. The accommodation was of exceptional quality with a massive bathroom, the room was spacious but so cosy I was asleep by 9.30! The food was delicious, the quality was outstanding and so lovely to see the chef taking real pride in what he does. The service was amazing, the waitresses and management were so accommodating and went above and beyond for us. This is the best value for a hotel, we hope to be back v soon!!"

Blue Ball Inn
"We stayed overnight at the Blue Ball Inn over the weekend, with friends. From the moment we arrived, we knew we would have a fabulous stay. The inn is situated in the most beautiful setting in Exmoor, with a 10 minute walk to a jaw dropping view of the coast line down to Lynmouth. Our room was lovely with a comfy bed and pretty bathroom. Breakfast was delicious offering full English, buffet and everything in between. We also had the most fantastic Sunday roast here - lovely beef and the roasties - simply the best. Cannot wrap up this review without commenting on how welcoming, attentive and friendly all the staff here are. Come and be spoilt."

"Very peaceful location, spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. Room was very comfortable, well equipped - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water and biscuits. Breakfast was hot, tasty and very well presented - you choose from a breakfast menu the previous evening and this idea certainly works. Hosts very pleasant and helpful gave us a few ideas of where to eat and have a drink at. Weather was glorious and we really enjoyed visiting the area again after a long gap - beautiful walks along the river and around the area. Thank you."

"Beautiful tranquil place. Very relaxing and so comfortable. The treat at the bottom of the garden is the Woody Bay Steam Train Station. What a lovely place to visit minutes from your room. Wow! The place was easy to find and close to Lynmouth and Lynton. Daisy is so friendly and welcoming. Perfect"

"Wonderful place to stay in Lynton and a great base for exploring Exmoor National Park. Julie, Martin, and Ben were so lovely and generous. They were very attentive to their guests and went out of their way to be helpful and to make sure that my stay was as comfortable as it could be. I was travelling to Lynton for a trail race, and I came in by public transport and was planning on walking to the race start (3 miles away), but they offerred to give me a ride instead and even came out on the race course to support me while I was running, which was so thoughtful and kind. They also brought bath salts to my room, so I could take a nice bath to recover afterwards. There were so many thoughtful, personal touches in the Ingleside. Julie bakes delicious fresh desserts every day and has them out in the communal sitting room for guests to enjoy, which was something I really looked forward to when I returned in the evening every day. Instead of having shelf stable milk in the rooms, they brought a thermos of fresh milk to my room every day. The room itself was very comfortable, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated. It had nice big windows to enjoy the view. The pillows, blankets, linens, mattress, and bath towels were soft, fluffy, and very comfortable. I highly recommend the Ingelside, and I will be going back there myself on my next visit to Lynton."

"Wonderful 3 night stay at this really nice guest house . Thank you Jo for looking after us both , we had room 5 with lovely views over Ilfracombe room very clean and spacious , excellent bathroom . Breakfast was lovely (loved your sausage's and butter ) good choice of cereal's , in a lovely room, Jo invited us both to their shanty night for Thursday night we had a great time thank you. All in all would highly recommend this delightful guest house set in a lovely spot . John & Elaine"

"We hebben onlangs 4 nachten in het Sinai House gebleven en hadden een uitstekende tijd. Alison en Vic waren prachtige gasten, vriendelijk, welkom en niets was te veel moeite. Ontbijt was zo goed met een uitstekende keuze op het menu. We bleef in kamer 2 die zeer ruime is met ladingen van kluisje en draaier. De kamer kijkt over de baai. We hielden de curtains open om de nacht en we wakker om de prachtige hemelen als de zon opstak naar rechts van ons raam. Het is een goede plek om de kustweg te lopen, naar Watersmeet en naar de vallei van de rotsen."

"I had a lovely stay at the Avoncourt Lodge. It's a little away from the main centre of activity in Ilfracome - but as a result, it's got a quiet, tucked-away feel (although with great views over the town). It's a a fairly easy walk down to the centre and harbour area (a little harder on the way back up, but not too hard), and on the way there you are rewarded with sea/cliff views a couple of minutes' walk from Avoncourt Lodge. The place itself has an older vibe - maybe you'd place it in the 1980s. But it's well-maintained and spotless, so it's a nice homely feeling. Breakfast is served to your table, and is fresh with good produce. The welcome was warm, and everything had good attention to detail. I'd certainly love to stay here again next time I am in Ilfracome."
