"The toilet in the room wasn't flushed or hadn't been flushed properly. The landlord said I was wrong (he thought I meant a green liquid), but actually he was wrong; it wasn't green liquid, otherwise I wouldn't have had to brush my teeth in the outside bathroom the next day. (I only discovered the toilet problem when I got up to use the bathroom the next day, then went back to sleep, so I didn't take a picture. Later, I was busy checking out and didn't take any more pictures. I washed up outside the bathroom the first night, so I only noticed it the next day. I flushed twice but it wouldn't flush, so I had to use the outside bathroom). Aside from this one issue, which the landlord seemed unaware of, he resolved all the other problems he could. And since we were all Chinese, he allowed me to check out an hour or two late (all the Fijian apartments I've stayed in so far have required check-out before 11 pm), so he's a good landlord. The hygiene issue was probably due to him being in a remote location and not being aware of the situation, or his cleaning staff not thoroughly checking the toilet… these are probably issues that can be improved. In other words, this apartment could potentially be a perfect place for Chinese tourists visiting Fiji in the future."

"Unfortunately, a disappointing stay. The Wi-Fi didn’t work until the following morning, and the biggest issue was the lack of privacy. Checkout was at 11am, yet just after 9am staff scanned their key, opened our door and looked into the room while we were asleep. Then at 9:27am they rang the doorbell and said, “Oh, you’re still in the room… when are you leaving?” After a huge amount of travelling, we were exhausted and trying to sleep. Being entered on and rushed almost two hours before checkout was uncomfortable and unacceptable. Definitely not the experience we expected from The Sebel."

"De badkamer stonk vreselijk toen we binnenkwamen; de stank was ondraaglijk! Zelfs het openen van de ramen en deuren hielp niet! Het balkon kijkt uit op het restaurant ernaast, en een penetrante geur van frituurolie dringt naar binnen als de ramen openstaan. 's Avonds is het er erg levendig; de muziek en het gejuich maken het onmogelijk om goed te slapen. Het ontbijt was ronduit verschrikkelijk. Laat de receptie geen taxi voor je bellen! Dat kost vele malen meer dan wanneer je er zelf een belt!! Ik had het echt niet volgehouden als ik de volgende ochtend niet om 6 uur had moeten opstaan. Zo oncomfortabel! Zo vreselijk! Voor meer dan 2000 yuan per nacht konden ze niet eens voor de meest elementaire hygiëne zorgen! Afgezien van wat er in dit hotel is gebeurd, was onze hele reis naar Fiji erg leuk!"

"Helaas was het een teleurstellend verblijf. Het Wi-Fi werkte pas de volgende ochtend, en het grootste probleem was het gebrek aan privacy. De checkout was om 11 uur, maar net nadat het personeel om 9 uur hun sleutel scande, opende onze deur en keek in de kamer terwijl we sliepen. Toen om 9:27 uur klachten zij de deur en zeiden: "O, bent u nog in de kamer... wanneer vertrekt u? " Na een enorme hoeveelheid reizen waren we uitgeput en probeerde te slapen. We zijn bijna twee uur voor de check-out ingegaan en gehaast was onaanvaardbaar en onaanvaardbaar. Natuurlijk niet de ervaring die we verwachtten van de Sebel."
