"Had an overnight stay at the hotel Thermas with a day at the spa and circuit . The room was small but perfectly adequate in fact the bed was super comfy and had a fantastic nights sleep (room 24) . The room has toiletries and a powerful hair dryer provided . A lovely hot shower and heating /aircon. The breakfast was very nice continental style , we went into Archena for our evening meal at the restaurant International which was very good and the service perfect . The only niggle which is our fault was the language barrier as we are only just learning Spanish and for the most part no one at the hotel or in Archena speaks English but we somehow muddled along in the end 😂. It’s only €24 to do the 2 hour circuit at the spa and i would definately recommend doing this . We had a lovely walk by the river before our return . All in all i would definately return to this beautiful and peaceful resort and are planning to do so very soon . Thankyou ."

"Facilities: 9/10 Receptionists: 6/10. Two or three employees are unfriendly. The cleaning is terrible; they do it as quickly as they can, without realizing what really needs to be cleaned. You have to call the reception staff several times to get them to listen to your requests. Service from the other restaurant and bar staff: Excellent. 11/10. Everyone is very kind and professional."

"The hotel is only living from past times - and because families with young children come to pool and entertainment cheaply. Surely not worth 4 stars. The maintenance is disastrous everywhere, in my room a lamp was hanging only on her cable from the roof, this was also full of black spots (photos). 2 times during the evening/night a very loud alarm started, which took more than half an hour until the staff finally could stop it. There was no excuse for this the next day. in the poor general condition quite scary. The staff is also completely uninterested in the guests - at the arrival (I had made the reservation in Spanish and spoke only Spanish with the staff) she texted me with completely uninteresting information for minutes - in English! She had not listened to me at all! At breakfast, no one was interested if I were at all hotel guests, the two girls were reclining together in a corner. As all doors were open throughout the EC (including those to pool and spa), you were surrounded by children's cries, you felt more like in a recreational park than in a 4-STerne-Hotel. The room as such was ok (except for maintenance), the bathroom was separated from the room by a glass sheet, i.e. when a person was in the bathroom, the room was also lighted - not very pleasant for the partner when you have to go to the toilet at night. The air conditioning did not work (in July!), i.e. I had to leave the window open all night - and get the noise from outside. The only positive is the location - really just a few meters next to the highway."

"Mijn recensie gaat niet over het hotel zelf, maar over de faciliteiten, met name het zwembad. Ik besloot mezelf te trakteren op een ontspannen duik en een lunch. Bij binnenkomst werd ik begroet door een zeer zelfverzekerde vrouw. Ik groette haar en zei in het Spaans 'goedemorgen', waarop ik alleen maar een grommend geluid terugkreeg. Er werd me niet gevraagd of ik een badmuts had. Gelukkig had ik er wel een, een gemiste verkoopkans. Ik maakte me klaar om het zwembad in te gaan, maar ik had moeite met de kluisjes, die duidelijk niet werkten. Na een paar geprobeerd te hebben, lukte het me eindelijk om mijn tas en kleren op te bergen. Klaar voor een duik? O jee, een van de zwembaden was buiten gebruik. Daar werd niets over gezegd toen ik het zwembad in ging. Ach ja, ik maak er het beste van, dacht ik. Eenmaal in het zwembad genoot ik van een ontspannen zwempartij. Het was 10:15 uur en ik genoot van het zwembad. Rond 10:45 uur werd het drukker. Ik dacht: oké, valt nog mee, maar tegen 11:45 uur zat het er als sardientjes op elkaar gepakt. Ik vond het zelfs onveilig. De jacuzzi zat bomvol. Ik dacht: oké, ik ga maar naar mijn ligstoel. Dat was mijn grootste ramp: mensen waren aan het roken! Ik dacht: dit is echt te gek. Ik heb astma, dus ik moest van de ligstoel af. Ik wilde er lekker op ontspannen, maar er was maar één persoon aan het roken. Ik telde er minstens vijf. Oké, dan de lunch. Ik zat aan tafel te wachten en te wachten. O jee. Ik ging het restaurant binnen en daar waren twee dames in gesprek. Ik moest ze storen, maar uiteindelijk kreeg ik hun aandacht en kon ik eten bestellen. Nauwelijks was mijn eten gearriveerd of ik dacht: oh nee, alweer waren er mensen aan het vapen en roken. Ik was zo teleurgesteld. Ik had me zo verheugd op een heerlijke ochtend en lunch. Omdat ik astma heb, moest ik weg. Gelukkig had ik mijn Ventolin bij me en ging ik naar mijn auto. Ik voelde me behoorlijk beroerd toen ik thuiskwam. Mijn ademhaling was vreselijk. Ik moest naar de apotheek in Pinoso. Zo veel voor een ontspannend dagje uit, terwijl ik dacht dat het een gezonde dag zou worden. Ik heb geprobeerd het hotel te mailen, maar zonder succes. Ik ben 100% teleurgesteld 😞😞😞"

We spent an hour to contact the apartment and get inside. The location is good. The apartment is not clean, only shower gel is provided, so better to have your own cosmetics etc. A LOT !!! of ants living in the apartment."

"Could be a 4* hotel barring one big easily fixable flaw. The hotel is in an enviable location with easy access to the harbour. Parking is easy via the onsite car park. The hotel is modern with comfortable rooms and our junior suite had a massive balcony. Breakfast was good....so what's the catch? The hotel is let down by a lack of communication both with guests and it seems staff too. Upon checkin we were told that any incidentals whether it be from the rooftop or lobby bar could be charged to the room. However, having eaten tapas as we were informed that anything more substantial was only available in the lobby bar / restaurant downstairs the rooftop needed payment and there was no facility to charge to the room. Not a big issue but make this clearer to guests. Fast forward to the next evening we decide to go to the lobby bar/ restaurant for dinner to be met with the same selection of meat and cheeses available on the rooftop and this was all they had, contrary to what we had previously been told. There are ample places to try within a few steps so not the end of the world but again communication is key."
