Overall this hotel does exactly what it advertises, no more, no less. I was put in my own double by myself which was excellent and it had exactly everything I needed, a bed, a small but functional bathroom, space to store your items, small table, WiFi plus TV. The bed was well stocked with pillows, loads of sanitiser everywhere, and I had two comfortable nights in the hotel, I was booked breakfast which was classic German and there's enough space to sit down and eat your food and drink your drink. You don't need a key card but you do need a keycode, so make sure you take a picture of your number because to get it back you need ID, luckily receptionist was very helpful and accepted a photo of my ID. It's not too far from the town centre and well connected by rail, don't let the road or rail nearby put you off, I didn't hear a thing as it's in a quieter neighbourhood. The WiFi test, very good, bit laggy at times, but as I said, does the job and no messy sign in forms!

Nice staff, clean rooms. The hotel asks for 15€/night parking fee. In front of the hotel there is a small parking 12€/24 hours. I parked on the street, there is enough space beginning 6-7pm. Street park cimes with a fee during the day 10am-8pm

Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

It was not kingsize bed... there were 2 beds together. Had no head restraint as on the photos and we had 2 separate covers!

We were as a couple for breakfast there. The atmosphere is really beautiful, very thick and maintained. The breakfast room has a wonderful view of the park and in summer there is the possibility to sit outside. The table was already covered with a selection of bread, breads & croissants, as well as a layer with a wurst & cheese selection. That was also the first thing that disturbed me. I am a vegetarian and had asked the wurstteller to exchange. The hygiene rules would have to throw the sauce plate out and you didn't know how long the foods were there. What was a waste and really extremely annoying! The choice was really quite rough. Of course, you can reorder some of the breakfast card. The fruit salad consists of apple, orange & ananas, so was not very extensive. The avocado was served pure, no deco, no lemon juice or just something. Only the Bennedict eggs were really excellent and the best I ever eaten. The service was very nice but it was not cleaned a dish. We had to stack on the table and that didn't look really nice. We paid about € 120 at the end and were incredibly disappointed.

There were five of us checked into the hotel and we had two rooms with sliding doors - superb. Great hotel, very clean, large bathroom, comfortable beds, delicious drinks. Great connections to shopping and as a musical hotel - that's how we used it! Competent and friendly staff at reception, cleaning and bar. The shuttle service was also great. We were completely satisfied. Super tasty, balanced, healthy breakfast - everything your heart desires. From fresh fruit/vegetables to delicious scrambled eggs, a great selection of bread/rolls and tea and coffee specialties. We didn't miss anything! The private sauna was also a dream and we really enjoyed it! Thank you so much for the great stay! I give it 5 out of 5 stars!
