"Excellent! The resort is about a 10-minute drive from the pier, with local restaurants and car rental services nearby. The hotel itself has comprehensive facilities. While the rooms aren't luxurious, they are large and clean. The overwater bungalows offer beautiful views, allowing you to see turtles, various fish, corals, and starfish without even snorkeling. The staff are warm and enthusiastic, and the restaurant food is delicious. On Saturday nights, there's even a local dance performance. The hotel also offers a wide variety of water sports that guests can sign up for."

"Een heel buitengewoon verblijf! Ik kan alleen maar de Vaara Lodge de ogen gesloten aanbevelen. Alles was absoluut perfect van het begin tot het einde. De plek is prachtig, warm en echt, maar wat dit echt uniek maakt is zijn gastheer, Kiki. Zijn vriendelijkheid, generositeit en het gevoel van ontvangst zijn gewoon ongelooflijk. Zodra we aankwamen, voelden we ons als familieleden. We hadden de kans om verschillende avonden te delen met Kiki en zijn familie, samen te koken van de traditionele Tajitse gerechten. Ontdek lokale recepten, leer om zijn eigen kokosmelk te bereiden op een handwerkelijke manier, uitwisselen rond de polynesische cultuur... zijn waardevolle en onvergetelijke momenten die veel verder gaan dan wat we verwachtten te leven. We zijn niet alleen in Vaare Lodge: we zien een echte duik in het hart van Polynesia, vol met deling, gemak en authenticiteit. Het is een uitzonderlijke menselijke ervaring die in onze herinneringen zal blijven. Een grote dank aan Kiki en zijn hele familie voor hun warme en grootmoedige welkomst. We gaan terug met een geheugen vol hart en een en ander: zo snel mogelijk terug! Ik beveel deze plek aan om 1000 procent en ik zal er met het grootste genoegen terugkomen."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Moorea Island Beach Hotel in December of 2024. First, the location is fantastic. There is a small beach directly in front of the hotel for swimming and snorkeling. The common areas overlooking the water were lovely and we enjoyed watching the sunset each night. The hotel also has a number of kayaks available for guests which we used to paddle over to a nearby motu (small island). The rooms themselves were comfortable and the AC worked well. While we didn't purchase the breakfast, we appreciated having access to some of the kitchen facilities. Each room is allotted refrigerator space and guests have access to tea and coffee all day. We loved Moorea and would definitely stay at this property again."

"My wife and me expected a nice and peaceful journey, but the welcome was horrible. After my wife pointed out the humidity level of the facilities, the manager started to litteraly fight with her, saying "don't come here, don't ask for this, you are not welcome if you start like this". So, 1st expect a 90% humidity level, without any fresh air or dehumidifier device, bathrooms in the bedroom with no ventilation (is this legal ?), a lot of moisture, 2cd expect a lot of mosquitos, and eventually expect the most despictable manager I have ever seen. No coffee or tea for our breakfeat (insane !), you cannot ask because people are elsewhere, very bad mood and energy everywhere. It seems the employees suffer a toxic management, the same people doing 3 or 4 jobs at the same time (barmaid = receptionist = cleaning lady = eveything else). The location was ok, very nice view in front of the lagoon, but how to fully enjoy it, I will never know. Avoid this location, this hostel is no more than a 2* + toxic management. Hope it helps."
