"We are currently traveling around the Pacific for three months, and this accommodation has been by far the best place we have stayed. The bungalows are super modern, fresh, and very well maintained, making the stay extremely comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We rented a car to explore the island, which I would highly recommend if you are staying here. Since the bungalows have a nice kitchen, we even prepared dinner twice and enjoyed it on the terrace of our bungalow, which was a wonderful experience. and the amazing Sunset is straight in front of the Bungalows!!!! We stayed in Bungalow 11 and had a fantastic time. Highly recommended!"

"I loved this hotel so much! The staff were always so friendly and accommodating in every way. The super kind General Manager, Claude, was also around quite often which gave an extra nice feel to the property. Added bonus that both bicycles and kayaks were available for guests to use for free. Walking distance to so many restaurants, shops, and even a pharmacy should you need one. Bungalows were beautiful and obviously well taken care of, while the views of the ocean were stunning. I have heard that during whale season, you can see so many whales right from the hotel beach - I will be back!"

"Definitely opt for the overwater bungalows. The beach bungalows with private pools were a little worn down. The main pool was closed due to renovations and it was not supposed to be. The renovations were supposed to have been completed before our stay. That was a bummer and all they did was give us a $50 credit. The lagoon and house reef is spectacular and so full of fish. All not motorized activities including kayaking and SUP are included. Very good buffet breakfast. The service was 3 star definitely not 5 star service. An absolutely fantastic location and go to happy hour for sunset."

"My wife and me expected a nice and peaceful journey, but the welcome was horrible. After my wife pointed out the humidity level of the facilities, the manager started to litteraly fight with her, saying "don't come here, don't ask for this, you are not welcome if you start like this". So, 1st expect a 90% humidity level, without any fresh air or dehumidifier device, bathrooms in the bedroom with no ventilation (is this legal ?), a lot of moisture, 2cd expect a lot of mosquitos, and eventually expect the most despictable manager I have ever seen. No coffee or tea for our breakfeat (insane !), you cannot ask because people are elsewhere, very bad mood and energy everywhere. It seems the employees suffer a toxic management, the same people doing 3 or 4 jobs at the same time (barmaid = receptionist = cleaning lady = eveything else). The location was ok, very nice view in front of the lagoon, but how to fully enjoy it, I will never know. Avoid this location, this hostel is no more than a 2* + toxic management. Hope it helps."

"Heerlijk nieuw hotel met het strand aan je voeten. Wij hadden de strand bungalow (ik was met mijn 2 kids), waarbij ik op het strand kon zitten en de kids voor het huisje als ze geen zin hadden. Ik miste een basic food supply (snacks/ovenpizza oid) wat je in het hotel kon halen. Verder vond ik de honden soms vervelend; er had er een gepoept in de bossage en als de wind verkeerd stond kwam de geur je tegemoet. Ontbijt basic; maar ze hebben gelukkig koffie en vers fruit :) Māuruuruu voor de ontspannen omgeving"

"Dit was een fenomenale ervaring voor mijn 50e verjaardag... het weer op Tahiti is niet geweldig, maar aan deze kant van het eiland Moorea, na een boottocht, bereikten de regenbuien van het regenseizoen ons niet echt. Het uitzicht vanuit de lobby is het eerste wat je opvalt - ze hebben een hele rustige, prachtige lagune vol koraal en turquoise water, ver weg van de drukke kanalen met excursieboten aan de rechterkant. Het personeel, met name de gastheer, was erg gastvrij en vriendelijk. De tropische bungalow had een prachtig uitzicht op zee en was ruim genoeg - misschien een beetje klein voor sommigen, maar het voelde gezellig en comfortabel aan. De douche was heerlijk warm en de slaapbank was een welkome aanvulling, want het matras was te hard voor mij. In de omgeving zijn een aantal goede plekken om parels te kopen, maar we hadden moeite met het vinden van restaurants - zoals je weet is Polynesië erg duur, maar soms is het eten er niet zo geweldig. Er is veel rauwe vis en er zijn supermarkten waar je duurdere boodschappen kunt kopen, maar wat je moet eten was een hele opgave. Het ontbijt in het hotel was oké, maar verwacht geen grote porties of dagelijkse variatie. De Franse sfeer was leuk, maar we hadden moeite met de eieren en de eentonigheid van het eten elke dag. Als je grotere porties en meer variatie wilt, is dit misschien niet de plek voor jou, maar het gebruik van de keuken door gasten is een fijne toevoeging, aangezien iedereen boodschappen deed om die vervolgens in eigen koelkasten te bewaren en op te eten. Je kunt er heerlijke sushi kopen bij iemand die in het hotel adverteert. Als je op zoek bent naar adembenemende uitzichten, ongerept koraal, een rif waar je naartoe kunt kajakken en een overvloed aan kleurrijke vissen, dan is deze plek ongerept en prachtig. Iedereen leek de essentie van ontspanning te begrijpen, dus rust en stilte zijn hier belangrijk. De gratis kajaks en fietsen werden zeer gewaardeerd en we huurden scooters in de buurt om het uitkijkpunt en het ecomuseum te bezoeken. Dat is een geweldige manier om de rest van het eiland te verkennen. De kajaks waren altijd bezet, dus zorg dat je er vroeg bij bent. Je kunt naar de nabijgelegen, prachtige stranden peddelen en op de eerste dag zagen we een groep adelaarsroggen, zeeschildpadden en zwartpuntrifhaaien. We waren verbluft door de rijkdom aan zeeleven zo dichtbij. De uitzichten zijn trouwens adembenemend. We hebben de hele wereld rondgereisd, maar in Polynesië zijn de uitzichten en het landschap ongeëvenaard. Gewoon ongelooflijk! Op een dag ging een local zelfs met dode vissen op pad en we voerden twee roggen voor het hotel – we waren sprakeloos. We zouden hier zeker terugkomen, want het eiland is prachtig en minder commercieel dan Bora Bora en andere eilanden."

"Hotel Hibiscus bestaat uit een 20-tal bungalows, rustig gelegen in een prachtig onderhouden tuin en met zicht op de zee. Het prachtige strand is heel rustig en je kan in zee fantastisch snorkelen. De bungalows zijn zeer ruim, met een leuke kitchenette, ruime en luchtige badkamer en een zeer ruime slaapkamer met airco, plafondventillator, groot bed met zeer goede matras en stevige kussens en een schuifraam naar een groot terras met tafel en stoelen. Het restaurant aan zee heeft een fantastisch uitzicht, het ontbijt is zeer lekker en je kan er 's middags en 's avonds heel lekker eten aan een eerlijke prijs, ik heb gezien dat er ook veel van de lokale bevolking komt eten want de kwaliteit is uitstekend. De bediening is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wifi is er enkel aan de receptie of in het restaurant. Je kan leuke excursies boeken, wij deden de walvis-excursie, een aanrader. Buiten het hotel zijn er op loopafstand enkele restaurants en een mini-winkelcentrum waar je alles vindt wat je maar kan gebruiken. We genoten ook heel erg van de mooie zonsondergang aan hotel Hibiscus. Misschien is het er niet de grote chique maar alles is heel netjes en je hebt er een huiselijk gevoel."

"Decent place in a nice location but the reef has been mostly destroyed near the resort. The biggest problem was that the water was not drinkable (so also not suitable for brushing teeth)! At this price I would expect basic things like this to be in place. I ran out of water one night and had no way of getting anything to drink without walking for over an hour to the nearest water station. The staff were nice but the food was uninspiring and overpriced. The rooms were simple but OK."
