"Ik heb een fantastische week gehad op Sicilië in het Terradamari Resort. Het hotel is gloednieuw en modern met een prachtig uitzicht op zee. Het ontbijt en diner waren uitstekend, met veel lokale gerechten. De kamers waren erg schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Houd er wel rekening mee dat het er wat warm kan worden, zeker als je, net als ik, gewend bent aan een koele slaapkamer. Ik heb het er geweldig naar mijn zin gehad en zou het hotel absoluut aan iedereen aanraden. Valentina van de receptie is de aardigste en meest charmante persoon die ik ooit heb ontmoet; ze gaf me veel goede reistips. Heel erg bedankt! :)"

"De locatie van het hotel is dicht bij de busstation, het reizen is zeer handig, ga rondom Zagora, Pockley enzovoort spelen, let op dat de bustijd niet is vast, het risico kan worden weggenomen, raadpleging vooraf en koop de tickets om terug te keren, kan ook goedkope. De kamer is schoner, het ontbijt is ook goed, er is een lokale vogelverhoging, de slaapkamer is niet groot, het warm water is een beetje te weinig, de kamer is schoon, de weg naar de belangrijkste attracties is niet ver, er is een parkeerplaats, het is gemakkelijk om zelf te rijden. De middelste regels zijn niet-barock, maar veilig en betrouwbaar, aanbevolen om te wachten."

"Goed gelegen met een privé, rustig strand. Bar aanbiedingen zeer vriendelijk & alle werknemers zijn Engels sprekers. Ontbijt was goed, maar beperkt. Twee dingen te bevelen: WiFi werkte niet wat niet verwacht wordt in dit soort hotel en er is een vergoeding voor handdoeken die vreemd is voor het zijn van een resort. Behalve dat we een geweldige tijd hebben, dank u!"

"We had a short holiday in Sicily and stayed in this hotel in Modica, a strategic position to reach some of the most beautiful places on the east coast. The hotel, very clean, is also very comfortable: from the garage an elevator takes you directly to your room floor. At the reception they were very kind and gave us some useful advice for our stay. The room (standard with balcony) was comfortable, bright, with a large balcony. TV with 10 free Sky channels. Spacious bathroom, with window. Rich courtesy set (there was even toothpaste and toothbrush and a small sewing kit). Excellent and plentiful breakfast, sweet and savory, cappuccino and coffee from the bar. We appreciated the name tags on the front of the products and containers, so you didn't always have to lift the lids to see the contents or ask the staff. The restaurant deserves a special mention. Excellent food, varied menu, impeccable service. All the hotel staff proved to be very kind and competent. We had a great time and definitely recommend the Hotel Torre Del Sud."

"I picked this hotel because of its reasonable price and its central location, about a 10-minute walk from the train station, and a 10-minute walk to the bus station in the opposite direction. I liked it. It's on a small street just off Piazza Matteotti. You have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the reception area (there's a light switch to your right inside the door). There was another flight of stairs up to my very comfortable and modern room. This hotel has a hipster ambiance, but don't let that deter you if you are, like me, an older independent traveler. (I had an amusing conversation with the owner when I asked him to point out the bus station on a map he provided, and he told me where a travel office was so I could book an excursion. I told him that I just wanted to take a regional bus to Ragusa, Scicli and other local towns, and I thought to myself, "Do I look that old?") He and the staffers were pleasant and very helpful, giving me advice about sights to see and places to eat. Don't expect to always see someone in the reception area. If you don't plan to check in during the regular time (between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.), make sure you let them know. They may charge extra for that. The location is excellent, right off the main street in Modica and very walkable to many of its best attractions and also best places to eat, including the focacceria of Don Puglisi (which, unfortunately, was closed for vacation when I was there)."

"Very modern Hotel with amazing views of Modica below. My room was spacious, spotless, a large walk in shower and a very spacious balcony. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was fine. As previous reviews have mentioned it is quite a climb up a few hundred steps from Modica town Centre, but if you plan your taxis in advance with the reception then you should have no problems if you are able to climb a very lot of stairs. There is a nice pool and Terrace with excellent views of Modica. I would happily stay here again"

"Ons verblijf in Hotel Torre Virgilio was zeer teleurstellend. De kamer die we kregen had geen raam, alleen een klein ventilatierooster hoog in de kamer, iets wat niet was vermeld bij de reservering. De volgende ochtend ontdekten we ook dat er geen warm water was. We besloten te vertrekken, maar het hotel weigerde de reeds betaalde t****e nacht terug te betalen. Al met al voldeed de ervaring absoluut niet aan de verwachtingen van een viersterrenhotel, zowel wat betreft de faciliteiten als de kwaliteit van de klantenservice."

The rooms are characteristic, fresh and furnished with back taste, keeping the rural atmosphere intact. The interior courtyard is a charm. The pool, surrounded by dry olives and mures, offers an unprecedented quietness. It is excellent cleaning all the environments. Breakfast is a real strength point. The products are very fresh, the cakes made at home, the fruit is seasonal and the local specialities are served outdoor every morning in front of their own room/apartment. The staff and owners welcome guests with warm and discretion, making you feel at home immediately and offering excellent advice to explore Val di Noto. It is really a magical place. Thank you all!!!! Je zult altijd in onze harten. Wat zeg je van hen. Geweldige, fantastische, discrete mensen. Eten goed, en alle mensen ontmoet in deze 10 gg, vriendelijke en vriendelijke Sicilianen. Als u vrede en ontspanning wilt, hier in de Jogaia vindt u het zeker. Er is een afstand van de zee, ok, 25km in Modica Marina,zelfs enkele kilometers meer om andere landen te bezoeken:Bekende, Marzamemi, Pozzallo, Scicli, Ragusa Ibla, dan wat te zeggen van Ortigia? Wonderlijk!!! Het was het waard. Schoon stranden, weinig vol. We hebben een mooie vakantie in alle zin. We raden aan bij 100x100 de Beb Giogaia. Er zou nog veel te commentaar zijn, maar alles wat we kunnen zeggen is in een HART GOED, aan wie ons heeft gehost en GOED GOED Siciliën. We gaan naar huis. "

The accommodations were well proportioned and maintained to a high standard, though most guests only stayed for a night or two. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious daily breakfast, which featured a fantastic selection of fresh local produce. Friendly staff made us feel welcome, though it would be helpful if the bar’s daytime availability was more clearly communicated. For those staying longer, the addition of a kettle, chopping board, and knife would greatly improve simple in room meal preparation. Please note that a car is absolutely essential for staying at this beautifully presented rural retreat."

Nice room with a private terrace (ask for that when booking) Had dinner several times at the hotels restaurant. Beautiful and romantic setting. Food was great, far better than the restaurants we’ve tried in the adjacent villages. Very fresh and tasty preparations. We can absolutely recommend the hotel and the restaurant."
