Motel 6-Midvale, UT - Salt Lake City South

Definitely not the cleanest hotel around, there's *********s happening all day every day on the property. Hotel is not a good place for children or families! I have seen bed bugs in multiple rooms and the front desk won't accept any blame. They'll instead blame you and charge you double before they kick you off the property.

The are around the motel look dirty, as well as the pool. The shower look old and not clean. The shower curtain was a mess to work with. It has connecting room (never a fan of those) We only stayed one night. Overall wouldn't stay there again. Probably a different motel 6

The staff at this property truly went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay . From the friendly and welcoming from desk team to the attentive housekeeping staff every interaction was marked by genuine warmth and professionalism. They were always ready to assess with any requests and provided personalized recommendations for local attractions and dining options.

I guess it's my fault for expecting better. The problem is, I've been pleasantly surprised in the past. Perhaps I'm trying to re-find those positive hotel/motel experiences. The South Midvale Motel 6 is grim. Imagine a nightmare you've had where you wake up panicking, but soon realize that everything is okay - because you're safe in your own bed. Only this nightmare is real and it doesn't end until you check out. Just like the Eagles Song, Hotel California: "You can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave." The GOOD: - The General Manager is outgoing, affable, and friendly. - It's right off of the I15. The BAD: - The hotel is a level of dirty you've likely never fully experienced. My room may have been tidied at some point in the past, but it was most certainly never cleaned. It requires a deep cleaning by men in hazmat suits. I'm not even certain that would help. - There were no toiletries available. I'm not sure if that's a Motel 6 policy, or if I was the lucky one to not receive those. So, no shampoo, no conditioner, and certainly no body lotion. - There were no face-cloths. Just two thread-bare towels and one hand-towel. - The TV in the room had be attacked by a toddler with a black marker. Of course when the TV is turned off, you wouldn't see that - but as soon as you turned it on, it was all over the tv. - Did I mention how dirty (like ground in dirt) the room was? - The area around the hotel is surrounded by burned-out ************. There were meth-heads all over the place. There was broken car window glass in the parking lot, so clearly someone's car had been broken into. - That area of Midvale is NOT SAFE. What is it with the greater Salt Lake City area? Are there nice parts of the region that aren't accessible from the I15? - The La Quinta (right next door) is no better. SUMMARY: - Don't be like me. Don't be cheap. Find a place somewhere safe, in a hotel that has seen a mop and a sponge - or someone who has actually cleaned for a living. - As for this Motel 6, I'm not even sure a renovation would help. I'd suspect they'd have to demolish the building, burn the rubble to keep it from spreading it's demonic powers, and start again (with a Priest who could consecrate the land).

Acc to my past exp, It's worth noting that the Motel 6 brand is known for offering budget accommodations So, if you're simply looking for a place to rest your head for the night without breaking the bank, the Motel 6 Midvale may be worth considering.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was very satisfied with the amenities offered. The free internet was fast and reliable, and I appreciated the convenience of free parking. As a pet owner, the fact that pets were allowed was a huge plus. And the vending machine was a nice touch. Highly recommend!

It makes me angry that your car get towed off while your sleeping because of pure lazyness. If when we check in the front desk takes our vehicle information and that should be all we have to do but no we have to put a light little peice of paper on our dash for the tow truck drivers because they are to lazy to go to front desk get a paper showing them what cars are suposed to be there. nope it's our responsiblity to make sure that stupid paper is on your dash if its not your car will be towed away while your sleeping. It will cost you more than your room cost to bail it out i for one don't like tow truck drivers for that reason there ok for the car thats broke down but when your parked at a motel and its free parking you shouldn't have to worry about your car being towed off while your sleeping it a bunch of bull. i don't think its fair at all. another thing that makes me angry is having to go to the front desk every single day to charge your card so you can continue getting back into your room that is the most inconvenient thing to have to do . And what is with the rule that you canot rent two rooms at the same time i find that to be a bunch of crap, The one thing i have noticed alot is the ID thing if you dont have ID you don't stay that's not cool exspecially per say i rent to rooms and you have my ID I would be responsible for the two rooms I feel like it should not matter who is in them they should not be required to show ID when one should be fine. I've never even seen this written anywhere so why is it such a problem. It makes me furious

This place has really really changed for the better. The General Manager Rosiland is the best indeed!!!! She makes our stay with every penny we spend!!!!!! The housekeepers are always helpful and friendly. The front desk staff are AWESOME!!!!

The bed crackled and popped every time we rolled over. The table had sticky stuff on it. The sink was dirty. The shower was broken and sprayed the back of the door. And they allowed a loud gathering outside until after midnight.
