Methven Resort ★★★

"It was okay however I needed to have a lengthy discussion with the Thai Lady Boy front of house. It is not a resort, the beds are hard, the rooms have 45 degrees ceilings, there was a hole in one of our associates doors. There is no longer a pool, no pool table to be used, no bar or restaurant. Everything is closed besides a continental breakfast which we didnt eat and went out instead. $200-$220 for a standard as cheap motel like vibe was not okay. The website is totally misleading and we all agreed upon the same information I provide here above. There was a few drunks still drinking at 7am, screaming down the hallway, "Good morning Methven, rise and shine Guests". Disappointed indeed"

"Gemakkelijk te lopen naar de stad en opuke Spa zwembad (een MUST om te bezoeken). Methven is een mooie en liefste stad met fantastische uitzichten op de bergen, geweldige eetkamers en een veilige, leuke vibe. Een reis naar de bergen om te skiën of snowboard is zeer gemakkelijk te organiseren tegen een redelijke prijs."

"A typical motel with a small grounds, no flowers or greenery. The room was comfortable enough. Upon check-in, the owners spoiled the mood, asking for an extra $50 for my daughter. I immediately opened Trip.com, where I'd booked the room, and found a reservation for three people, but the price for our three-room suite hadn't changed. I didn't want to argue with the greedy owners, so we simply paid the extra. As the saying goes, "We won't get poor, they won't get rich..." but it left a bad taste in my mouth."

"We stayed here twice, a few days apart. Very comfortable, clean units - well equipped. Friendly host and a good selection of DVDs to choose from (even if we struggled a bit to get it to work!). Very spacious grounds, parking and close to local shops. 4 Square especially well stocked."
