"We vonden het hotel welkom omdat de vrouwelijke receptie was vriendelijk en ons enige hulp aanbood. Het hotel was zeer schoon, inclusief de badkamer. Onze kamer was ook schoon en rustig. Alles werkte! We hielden van de aircon in deze warme zomer en we voelden ons de hele nacht koud. Er was een Greggs vlakbij de deur voor ontbijt of gewoon een koffie. Het hotel was centraal waar we moesten zijn en we zouden het aanbevelen. Het enige wat we niet vonden waren de prijzen van augustus (!), maar het was niet duurder dan andere hotels, minder in de meeste gevallen. Ik zou dit hotel aanbevelen als u een reis naar Wilts plannen."

"My wife and I stayed here just one Sunday night. The hotel is centrally situated with a large car park. It is a wonderful old pub/hotel, full of character. The welcome was very friendly. The room had no towels provided, but this was very quickly rectified. We had an accessible room which included a wet room. Very spacious, but we felt that the disabled toilet and special wash hand basin were too close making it a bit difficult to easily use the toilet. The bedroom itself was clean and well equipped with a lovely large comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant that evening and for breakfast; both were a little disappointing to be honest. The Sunday menu was very limited and service was very slow. What was on offer for dinner had been ‘jazzed up’ with, in our opinion, good food spoilt by the addition of some unusual ingredients. We felt that with a very limited offering, something more conventional might be more appropriate. My wife had the standard English breakfast; most of it was of a very low standard. The egg was rock solid, other stuff was luke warm. The only decent thing was the hash brown. I had the eggs royale which were superb! There are other eating options locally. We might stay again, but not eat here."
