Riad Houma

Arrived here late at night and missed the front door initially so have provided a picture to help others find it - there's some scaffolding up at the minute, so easy to walk past when dark. Warmly welcomed by Soufiane and Mourad, the brothers who run this place who were very kind and welcoming and pointed out where to get dinner so late (we went to Naranj, a few minutes walk from the road, a bit pricey but delicious). Bedroom was lovely, but there is only a small curtain that separates the bedroom from the toilet - only small ****** was that it could be larger to give more privacy but it was a quirky feature. This is a really elegant stylish place, especially the interior courtyard, where we had dinner on our last night which was lovely. Breakfast was also delicious. They organised our 3am transfer for us which made everything run smoothly. Rooftop was also lovely, there is a jacuzzi and hammam, unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy them but they looked great. Enjoyed staying here and would come back.

I have never been to a place quite like the Riad Houma before, although I have travelled extensively throughout the world..... We were welcomed by Soufiane who explained in great detail, local restaurants, activities and places of interest, making sure we had full details of how to return to the Riad by supplying a very detailed map. He also served us mint tea and traditional Moroccan biscuits. Our room was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, our suitcases were taken to our room and we unpacked. We then decided to go downstairs and met Murad...the brother of Soufiane....he was truly wonderful and could not do enough for us....even saying "our home is your home"....he supplied us with drinks and nibbles and copious amounts of ice for our drinks. so every night we went down for pre dinner drinks and Murad was always there to welcome us. We even asked if our friends how were staying at another Riad could join us for drinks and that was no problem either. Murad was also there throughout the night and served us breakfast which again was fantastic. Malika was on reception and always welcomed us with a cheery smile and again she was extremely helpful. On our final morning Murad accompanied us to the taxi area and when the taxi wasn´t waiting for us he very kindly phoned the company and waited with us until it arrived. They did not book the taxi... we booked it independently. A wonderful little gem and I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to stay there. Full marks to Riad Houma..........

There are 3 ingredients which make this riad stand out to us: a peaceful oasis inside the medina, with easy walking access to everything Marrakech has to offer; a huge, well supportive bed which is good for bad back, and, most of all, the genuine kindness and warmth from this family- run riad, who take a pride in their work, keep it spotlessly clean and pay attention to detail. We loved sitting in the hot tub under the stars and drinking English tea with milk! on the rooftop at sunset.

We stayed 6 nights at Riad Houma and had an amazing time. Upon our arrival, we felt the lovely hospitality from Soufiane, Mourad and Malika to provide us an extraordinary time in Marrakesh. As we arrived in the evening, we didn’t want to go out for dinner and we enjoyed a delicious 3 course dinner on the rooftop of the riad with a good bottle of wine. Our room was on the first floor and we had enough space. Everything was very clean and stylish decorated. All recommendations of the Houma team on where and how to go to sightseeing spots and restaurants were above our expectations. Also to mention the very good breakfast in the morning to get fresh energy for the day. Riad Houma is a very peaceful and welcoming place to stay and we will definitely come back. Just to spoil some news: in the near future, in addition to the existing whirl-pool, there will be also Hamam and Massage services provided on the rooftop. Looking forward enjoying this treatment in the hotel.

This Riad was excellent! The rooms and lobby area are beautiful and well maintained! The location is very convenient. The staff was very professional and welcoming! The night front desk person was extremely polite and he also served us breakfast. He was very warm and a pleasure to talk with along with his brother who was their our last night. We had to checkout by 7:00 am to catch our flight and he accommodated our early schedule and had breakfast ready by 6:15 am. Highly recommend this place for great staff, beautiful and clean Riad and great location!!!!

It’s starts with a very warm welcome in the Riad and ends with a handshake at the car packing when the taxi driver picks you up. The team of the Riad made our holidays perfect. Soufian and his brother Mourad as well as the other staff are incredible. They help you with every small thing; they prepare breakfast, help you with the tours, restaurants, bars and are always there if you need them. Luckily, we have not booked anything upfront. The recommended tours and the drivers/guides were one of the best experiences and we could book them to a very good price. Dinner in the Riad is a very nice experience as well. The rooms are very nice and super clean. The entrance of the Riad - living room - is very cozy and we enjoyed drinking tea there. The rooftop is wonderful for breakfast, dinner or just for relaxing. The location is perfect (very close to Bahia Palace).

My girlfriend and I stayed on this RIAD from 28/02/23 until 04/03/23. It was my first time in Africa. I didn't really know what a RIAD was and in th end we had an extraordinary experience. They treat us as part of their family, very warm and attencious staff. The rooms were classy and clean. Top service. There is a rooftop terrace which is amazing. We had dinner at the RIAD on our last night and it was much much better than any restaurant out there. We had typical morrocan food, a bottle of moroccan wine, starter, main and a dessert. Malika and Soufiame were brillant with us all the time. Safe and highly recommended. From Madrid/ES.

My husband and I spent my birthday in Marrakech and stayed at Riad Houma. The staff are so nice and everything was amazing. The riad is very beautiful and in a good location. This riad was a big part of my experience in Marrakech and I hope to be back soon! It is absolutely gorgeous, I highly Recommend.

Amazing stay for me and my husband, would highly recommend, it’s clean and so relaxing the staff can’t do enough for you, location was perfect and easy to navigate your way around, breakfast was lovely every day, staff go out of their way to get anything you need, roof terrace is a great sun trap, no issues with leaving luggage safely on our last day so we could still venture out until it was time to depart, will definitely be returning for another short break in the near future.
