"We were greeted upon arrival by the friendly staff with cool, refreshing drinks & they graciously parked our car. Carlo & the rest of the staff were always present & helpful. The infinity pool is surrounded by majestic mountain views. A short walk takes you to the charming village. We ate at the most delicious restaurant there: La Taverna di zu Cicco. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was awesome & they will make you an egg, if you so desire. Giorgio at the bar was incredibly nice & took special care of us. The hotel is a former convent, which gives it an air of spirituality & history. It is truly a magical place!"

"Christina and Elena's place is perfectly located in the old town of Maratea, close to restaurants and bars, although the property itself was quiet. Christina is a wonderful host, attentive, helpful, with excellent communication. We stayed in the Bellavista room and the room was large, airy, and very well appointed with a wonderful view of the old town. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Free parking is about 200 m away and the room is upstairs, so be aware of this if you bring heavy cases! Breakfast was plentiful and we appreciated Christina being on hand to have a chat about our plans for the day. We would highly recommend ReginElena B&B to anyone looking to stay in the old town of Maratea."

"Ik boekte direct met het hotel en kreeg een gunstige kamerprijs. We reisden met de trein en namen een taxi van het station. Het hotel is in een zeer hoge positie boven de baai. De baai is mooi, maar we waren vrij veel gestraald zonder vervoer. De volgende dag gingen we naar Maratea, maar ontdekten we de wandeling naar Christus, de staat van de Verloser voor onze terugkeer, wandeling op de heuvel, dus namen we het tot we dicht bij het hotel waren. Het was een veel mooier wandeling. In totaal, inclusief een korte wandeling rond de stad, we wandelden 9 km. Ik had een suite geboekt. Het was groot en vrij basis, maar dit wordt weerspiegeld in de prijs. Als de suite meer lief was geweest, de prijs zou meer lief zijn geweest. Het terras was even groot met prachtig uitzicht op de baai. De suite was onverwacht schoon en zo gehouden door de mooiste kamermeisjes. We bleven toen er een maatschappijconventie in de plaats was. Er waren 300 gasten van de maatschappij en toen mijn man en ik. Het was grappig. We zijn niet Italiaans, maar met belangstelling bewaakt. We waren niet Italiaans en niet deel uitmaken van de maatschappijconventie, we waren vrij gemakkelijk te zien. Ondanks, of misschien door de conventie, voelden we ons bekend door het personeel en werden zeer goed behandeld, omdat ze duidelijk erkenden dat we iets overgetald waren. (150:1) Het eten was goed en het eten personeel zeer aangenaam. Het zwembad was een echte behandeling. Hatten zijn verplicht. Beatrice op de receptie was bijzonder plezier en hulpzaam terwijl de manager makkelijk, professioneel, hulpeloos en ook vrij grappig! Dus waarom niet 5*? Ik weet het niet zeker. Er waren kleine dingen die ons gewoon niet passen, zoals een drankmachine voor het ontbijt, die de persoonlijke contacten met het personeel vermindert en de eetervaring onnodig onpersoonlijk voelt. We zullen ons verblijf zeer positief bekijken en lachen over hoe we een weekend in een Italiaanse auto-onderdelenconventie eindigden."
