Hotel Villa Malindi

This place was fantastic. The rooms are nice and the grounds are beautiful. The chef is very good and the location excellent. Most importantly, however, the staff are incredible. The manager Alex was very helpful and organized everything for us. I have no complaints.

Staff, facilities, service all superb. The Villa Malindi is not directly on the beach, but outside the front gate, immediately across the street (PIZZA-O sign) is a trail/soft road where you can access the beach after just a 150-200 meter walk. The beach in this location is possibly the best in Malindi, expansive and public without much harassment but many locals to add great authenticity. Staff would provide daily fresh floral arrangements both in bed and especially at dinner. Much, much better than my 3 day stay at the Malindi Sandies. The pool at the Villa Malindi is great (actually there are two pools). The chef is amazing and the food was superb. Laundry was done almost daily and shuttle to airport was included. Villa Malindi will be my Go-To for the Malindi area.

Mr. Alexandre, the host is very warm and friendly. He went out of his way to pick one of us from the airport - he offered to instead of taking a taxi. He ensures that the meals are served right as per client options The ambience of the place is bespoke esp sunset & sunrise - both night and day The rooms are BEAUTIFUL - the choice of color - white and orange -matches the Swahili weather The food served at dinner was too oily to recommend though the breakfast was just right and recommendable The staff are warm and always at ones' service right from the entrance the place is a beautiful spot for pictures and chilling

An interesting villa. It was nicely laid out with pool and eating area open. They have some exotic birds in an area beside villa, and it is clean and tidy. However, for people who struggle with mobility the upstairs rooms only by stairs would be problematic. Plus when I was there there was no food or drink available for purchase or access. It is an easy walk down to the water where you can sit and enjoy a beverage in the grounds of more fancy hotels. Overall a pleasant stay but would probably upgrade in their again closer to water.

Really enjoyed our stay at Villa Malindi! Exceeded our expectations! It is not a big hotel - I was told there are only 8 apartments on site, however all rooms are very spacious and clean, high ceilings. There is an air conditioner, also a celling fan. The super king sized bed was huge and had a frame with mosquito net around the bed. We stayed in the penthouse which was very spacious , it had a balcony with 2 sun loungers, there were 2 bathrooms with walk-in shower rooms and a fridge. There was also a desk and WiFi connection. There are two outdoors swimming pools in the middle of the hotel - a small circular one for children and a larger pool for adults. The pools are connected with a "waterfall" feature. Sun loungers with towels also little tables for drinks next to the pool. We had cocktails by the pool and freshly squeezed juices. The hotel offers a breakfast and a dinner included in the package. The 4-course dinner menu is different every day, there in an on-site chef which cooks some amazing food. Fish and seafood particularly was fantastic - we were told that it is all locally sourced and fishermen bring fresh fish, lobsters and prawns to the kitchen every day for the chef to select the food. During our 7 night stay there was an Italian cuisine dinner (nice pasta) and also a Swahili cuisine dinner with grilled fish and spicy chicken. The breakfast menu had eggs, freshly baked croissants and African sweet buns, also pancakes with honey as well as sausages and bacon. There was also an option to have cereal and yoghurt for breakfast. Really great freshly squeezed passion fruit and mango juices, fruit salad and coffee. Alex - the hotel manager is very helpful and his presence and attitude is what makes this hotel so great. It really brings a family atmosphere to the place as Alex treats every guest as his own personal guest . Alex met us at the Malindi airport, drove to the hotel and also took us to many excursions and remote beaches. Speaking of the beach - the nearest beach is just across the road from the hotel. There is also a relaxation area at the hotel with many sofas, a large TV screen and a PlayStation gaming console. Forgot to mention the massage booth and the amazing massage lady Elizabeth. The whole place is very green with palm trees and plants all over the places. Overall we had a great and enjoyable stay! Thank you Alex and Villa Malindi - we will be back!

My wife and I stayed for two nights in Villa Malindi and it was excellent. A very spacious and a clean room. The garden is nicely maintained and green and surrounds a nice two pools. The Chef was preparing excellent meals which were truly enjoyed by us. So, to Alex (MD) we would like to say a big Thank you. Villa Malindi made our trip to the Kenyan coast unforgettable!

- Сначала отель выглядит дорого, но : завтрак, ужин, вода, стирка, трансфер с/в аэропорта, лежаки в white elephant и на пляже Ватаму включены - Александр - следующий уровень хостинга, лучший за мои многие годы путешествий: сразу после букинга пишет в вотсапп с подтверждением и ответами на спец запросы (такого я вообще не встречал), напоминает про визы, каждый завтрак/ужин обходит гостей с вопросами/пожеланиями/предложениями - завтрак с ужином по меню с 2 вариантами на выбор, но ваши предпочтения можно и нужно озвучить Александру - трансфер/такси/активности/туры и вообще ЛЮБЫЕ запросы озвучивайте (я искал тренажерный зал и цветы :) ) - территория отеля закрытая с проверяющим масаем на входе, внутри тихо и спокойно, персонал приветлив - комнаты большие с диванчиком снаружи, кондиционером, холодильником и вентилятором - не первая береговая линия, но до пляжа идти 5 мин, плюс не забудьте про бесплатные лежаки - логично добавить, что если вы русско/итальяно говорящий, то вам точно сюда
