De kamer was niet overeen met de gereserveerde, de half-luxe met de woonkamer en slaapkamer 66 m2 werd gereserveerd, in feite als het gebruikelijke nummer 25-30 m2. Ik beveel het niet, de eerste keer dat ik een dergelijke situatie ontmoette, hoewel veel plaatsen werden gestopt."

"Hotel Carrion is zeer welkom en het personeel is zeer ingewikkeld. De locatie is ideaal; over de straat van Simon Bolivar Park, dichtbij winkels, restaurants en musea. De slaapkamers in het hotel waren schoon en comfortabel. Het restaurant heeft zeer smaakvol en goedkoop eten geserveerd. We zouden zeker terug naar Hotel Carrion voor een toekomstig bezoek."

"Het hotel vroeg om een extra betaling voor de verkoopbelasting, terwijl Trip.com bevestiging duidelijk vermeldde dat geen belastingen of extra kosten moeten worden betaald. 1. Ik betaalde omdat Trip.com mij aanbiedt om het bedrag terug te betalen met een beetje extra vergoeding, Het hotel heeft me echter nooit een ontvangst gegeven voor de zogenaamde belastingen die me willekeurig opgelegd hebben. Het ontbijt was oké, maar sommige dij waren zout. Ik heb de kamerservice gebeld om om 21:45 uur wat eten te bestellen en ze zeiden dat ze me niet konden helpen, omdat ze om 22:00 uur dicht waren. 4.Goed punt - De schoonmaakdame was klaar om te helpen op elk moment"

"Uitstekend hotel en service!"

"The Grand Victoria Hotel has many plus points - a gracious old building, attractive rooms, friendly staff, and a good central location. Unfortunately the hotel is unable to provide a basic requirement: a good night’s sleep. The hotel holds many functions during the day and the evening, but unfortunately the lay out of the hotel (all rooms overlook internal atriums, and all windows open ONLY to the atriums) means that any evening functions disturb guests. On our first night the music stopped at midnight, and we were then able to sleep (although we were woken early by the setting up of breakfast service on the floor immediately below us). On the second night the music was deafening!!! and went on until 1.30 am. At 2.30 am the staff started dragging furniture along the floor below us, to set up for another function the next day. We got only 4 hours sleep. Our complaint the following morning was met with fulsome apologies and agreement that the extended disturbance was unacceptable (and an admission from the staff member that noise disturbance for overnight guests is a regular problem) but no adjustment was made to our bill. When we insisted we were given a discount of 10% - inadequate for the loss of a good night’s sleep. A further point to note is that because the windows only open to the internal atrium they have to be kept closed. As a result our room was terribly hot, and had neither a fan nor aircon. We were so disappointed that what should have been an enjoyable stay was marred by noisy functions on both nights, and we’re especially annoyed that we were kept awake until after 3 am on the second night. "
