"Booked to stay in Leek for a nearby wedding !!! Stayed at the Silk House hotel Nicholas and Julie were fantastic hosts , they couldn’t do enough for you . The accomadation was very comfortable with plenty of tea, coffee available in the rooms . The weekend we stayed was fantastic weather wise , so managed to spend a bit of time in the garden , enjoying the pleasant surroundings . The bar was extremely well stocked and Nicholas was more than happy to make his own choice of special drinks for his customers ."

"This hotel is in a fabulous position close to the centre of Leek with parking close by. It is a beautiful building and the hosts are wonderful, welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. The bar is small, quirky and has a good selection of drinks with a little hatch to serve customers in the garden. Our room was on the top floor with lots of stairs, so not for anyone with mobility issues. The building is very old and the floors are wonky which would add a little charm but kind of accentuates how tired the room was. Big enough, comfy bed and a working shower it could just do with an upgrade. Overall would we stay again, yes. The hotel is spotlessly clean and you have most of what you need it's just not as polished as most people would expect today."

"Ruim en goed ingericht appartement dat groot genoeg was voor twee paar te comfortabel delen. Ideaal gelegen boven de coöperatie zo gemakkelijk toegang tot vers eten en koude dranken. Veel gratis parkeergelegenheid rond het gebouw. En een paar goede pubs en restaurants op een gemakkelijke wandelafstand. schone en goed onderhouden. Veel handdoeken en toiletten, evenals complimentair water in een van de slaapkamers. Ik zou er weer blijven als ik in de buurt was."
