"Zelfs als je het niet op het eerste gezicht verwacht, het kleine appartement is zeer mooi gelegen met uitzicht op een mooie tuin en de rivier. Het appartement was zeer schoon, het bed comfortabel, de huurder zeer aardig. Er is alles wat je nodig hebt, we hadden zelfs fietsen kunnen lenen en de fietsweg begint bij het appartement. We komen zeker terug!"

"Vier van ons waren twee nachten in dit huis. Het was perfect. Zo rustig en mooi, er zijn wandelpaden voor de huizen. De gasten zijn ongelooflijk warm en helpend. Er zijn gratis fietsen te gebruiken, en ook gemeenschapswasmachines die zeer nuttig was. We moesten naar Kranj rijden en de gasten zeer vriendelijk rijden ons daar gratis. Wat een grote ontsnapping uit de gruwel en de gruwel van de stad - we zouden graag terugkomen!"

"I’ve stayed here this week as part of a trip for work. HOTEL The hotel is very convenient for the airport, perhaps ten minutes or so in a taxi (Uber IS available). The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, with lovely shiny floors and clean walls. It’s very well kept. ROOMS I was on the third floor, in rooms that have only recently opened, and they are very clean too. It’s a low bed and the pillows are the softest ever, which for me wasn’t great. I ended up doubling them up. Also, every light switch has blue LEDs on it, and in the dark they are incredibly bright. So much so that they (and the pillows) kept me awake so I had to cover them up in whatever way I could. The TV was in a nice position but was purely internet-based and would buffer every 3-4 seconds, so I gave up with that. And yet the free wifi was giving 80-90Mbps reliably. That said when using my laptop on the free wifi I would be prompted to reauthenticate every 15-20 minutes or so, which was a bit tedious. Bathroom spotlessly clean, and the shower is a consistent flow and consistent temperature, better than mine at home! FOOD Breakfast is very good. Continental as expected, so yoghurt, muesli, fruit, cheese, meat etc. But also some hot frankfurter sausages and scrambled eggs. And unusually for a hotel, the scrambled eggs are perfect! They are not rubber or cardboard, they are actually superb – six days running! For lunch and dinner, there’s nothing in the hotel. And as I found out, Slovenia shuts on Sunday! Even Lidl was closed! So on the Sunday I grabbed a sandwich from a petrol station (it was fine) and went to Projekt Burger in the evening, which was superb! 20 minute walk, but worth it. Menus are online. During the week there’s more to offer, and Lidl actually worked fine for me. Obviously plenty of places to eat in town, a 35 minute walk away on roads all with pavements. LOCATION Yes it’s on the edge of town. Nothing close by apart from Lidl and a café or two (Rondo is open from 7AM). It’s a 35 minute easy walk into the old town, with good pavements the whole way. Buses seem to be a rarity. The location is the downside, if like me you flew here and don’t have transport, but if you’re happy to walk then it’s fine. SUMMARY Away from the centre, but well looked after with a quality breakfast, lovely staff, and if you’re prepared to walk then it’s very good. Would I stay again? Definitely yes."

"We waren met onze drie kleine kinderen op de doorreis naar Kroatië en moesten zeer spontane nacht om 1 uur terug. Bedankt voor de 24 uur receptie was dit geen probleem, we waren super aardig en helpend ontvangen. De kamer was schoon en we werden nog een extra bed ingebed. Het ontbijt was zichtbaar op het eerste gezicht (geen kaart, geen grote buffet), maar toen werd ons een grote plaat met een berg aan de rooie, snijden en brood gebracht. Eenvoudigweg iets anders en alles heel familie, total nice :) In het Hof is er een kleine spelruimte voor kinderen, niet groot, optisch geen highlight, maar voor kinderen absoluut voldoende om als volwassene gezellig verder te ontbijten : ) De medewerkers waren allemaal onbegrijpelijk aardig, hartelijk en communicant! We zouden hier altijd terugkomen !👍🏻"

"Een geweldig hostel in het centrum van Kranj, de kamer was schoon en comfortabel. Terras uitzicht was prachtig, perfecte plek om een biertje te genieten. Inchecken was gemakkelijk en het personeel was zeer vriendelijk met goede Engels. Zou zeker hier blijven als in de buurt, dicht bij de luchthaven zo gemakkelijk te bereiken via de lokale bus voor ongeveer € 1.70. "

"Just had the worst experience at Mama’s Hostel. Not because of the hostel in itself or the guests, but he manager of the hostel was being so rude and uncomfortable. To start off, he overcharged us because we came late and didn’t have a reservation (which I guess is fair enough, even though we called in advance to ask if there was room and if we could come). Then he made some weird jokes about being “a real man” and hurried us with the payment and got annoyed when we were slow at answering his questions. Later in the evening we sat in the kitchen and talked and had one beer each - he came in yelling at us, calling us rude and disrespectful for making noise this late and not closing the door. We apologised and tried to reason with him in a civil way, telling him that we hadn’t realised we were being noisy but that he could just tell us in a nice way because we didn’t know. He didn’t listen to us and just kept on calling us children and blaming the youth for not being well behaved. Then in the morning when we had checked out and was eating breakfast outside he came out and asked us if we had used the rooms that he told us to. We said that we did and it might have been a matter of miscommunication (cause honestly he was difficult to understand) but he didn’t agree and then got mad at us for that. Nice hostel and nice guest, but the rudest most immature manager I have ever come across. Really a shame.. not gonna recommend this place to anyone.."
