Hotel location was superb as it was within the JR station compound with plenty of shops around.

I went to Kitakyushu for a family trip and stayed at Rihga royal hotel Fukuoka, which is located near Kokura station, the center of Kitakyushu. First of all, the location is very good. The hotel is a large hotel with high floors that are very noticeable in the neighborhood and seems to be the best hotel near Kokura for banquet halls, buffets, etc. It has an overall older feel than the newer hotels these days, but in a good way, it's classic and the rooms are relatively larger than the newer hotels. Overall, the hotel is well maintained, so it is clean and comfortable. The hotel staff is also doing a good job of maintaining the characteristic Japanese friendliness and attentiveness. The in-room amenities are also good. The hotel breakfast is also excellent for the price. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kitakyushu.

I went to Kitakyushu for a meeting and chose this four-star hotel. Very nice place for a good price. Staff don’t speak English but the have this instant translation app that made everything easy and smooth. Room was comfy enough even though the AC was a bit too noisy.
