"De kamers waren zeker een beetje rustig, maar je bent op een eiland en de plaats is gericht op het zijn ecologisch vriendelijk, dus het is begrijpelijk. Ze hebben ook een plek op het hoofdland om uw auto gratis te parkeren tijdens de verblijf en een privé boot (30,000 UGX per richting) die mooi was. Het eten was zeer goed en het uitzicht van het restaurant is fantastisch over het meer. De hele accommodatie is prachtig onderhouden. Het personeel was allemaal zeer vriendelijk. We hebben een half dag meer tour en wandelen met Tom, die een lokale is en werkt op de accommodatie en was een geweldige gids! Het is ook leuk om te weten dat de woning eigendom is van een plaatselijke Oeganda, aangezien veel van de woning eigendom zijn van buitenlandse investeerders. Wensen we dat we langer zouden kunnen blijven."

"Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort offers a serene escape with breathtaking views. The journey to the island by boat was a highlight, allowing us to appreciate the lake's beauty. Upon arrival, a tuk-tuk took us up the hill to the comfortable resort. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We stayed for two nights to fully enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and explore the area. We took a delightful canoe ride around the island at sunset and arranged a boat tour with a local guide the following day. While the food was decent, the buffet-style evening meals offered a good variety. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi worked well in the common areas. It's important to remember that things may not always work at the same pace as in the Western world. The hot water took a bit of time to heat up, but we were warned about that in advance. The overall setting of the island was fantastic, with plenty of birds and wildlife, making it the perfect place to unwind."

The breakfasts are as tasty as they appear on the photos, plus I could access my beloved Netflix I could go on and on and on... If you are looking for tranquil away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Hakyiri is the place to be. I could recommend it again and again and again."
