"Het ziet er echt enorm mooi uit, maar ga hier nooit eten. Wij hadden eerst om 19:00 een reservering geplaatst. Vervolgens werd er gevraagd of dit naar 19:30 mocht. Daarna werd er gezegd dat ze wat wij hadden besteld niet meer hadden. Bij vertrek werden wij tegen gehouden met de mededeling dat ze het eten nog wel hadden. Daarna werd er gevraagd of het eten ook om 20:00 mocht. Vervolgens hadden wij om 21:00 nog geen eten en zijn wij weg gegaan. "

"Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort offers a serene escape with breathtaking views. The journey to the island by boat was a highlight, allowing us to appreciate the lake's beauty. Upon arrival, a tuk-tuk took us up the hill to the comfortable resort. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We stayed for two nights to fully enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and explore the area. We took a delightful canoe ride around the island at sunset and arranged a boat tour with a local guide the following day. While the food was decent, the buffet-style evening meals offered a good variety. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi worked well in the common areas. It's important to remember that things may not always work at the same pace as in the Western world. The hot water took a bit of time to heat up, but we were warned about that in advance. The overall setting of the island was fantastic, with plenty of birds and wildlife, making it the perfect place to unwind."

"My husband and I visited Hakyiri for a short getaway break, and we can confirm it was the best decision ever. Right in the heart of Kabale Town, one would imagine a noisy environment but what we experienced was complete and uttermost serenity. The beautiful place became home for us the staff were very professional, yet very hospitable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and immaculate. The breakfasts are as tasty as they appear on the photos, plus I could access my beloved Netflix I could go on and on and on... If you are looking for tranquil away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Hakyiri is the place to be. I could recommend it again and again and again."
