"A unique experience in a beautiful and historic palace Mar 2026 • Couples We continued our journey with the RASS group of hotels at the Rajmahal Palace, and what a special place it is. This feels like a home rather than a hotel — steeped in history and once used as a residence by royalty and numerous dignitaries over the decades. Photographs throughout the property capture a bygone era, including the visit of the Queen and Prince Philip in 1967, who stayed in this very palace. The spa experience was wonderful, although I did miss the Ayurvedic treatments that were available at RASS Jodhpur, which are not currently offered here. Everything is immaculately maintained, and the staff are exceptional. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they genuinely make you feel like royalty throughout your stay. Dining is outstanding. The multi-cuisine menu offers real variety, and both the food and service are on another level compared to other five-star hotels we’ve experienced. A special thanks to Sumit and Manish for their care and attention, and to the chefs for creating such delicious and complex flavours. Bahrti, the wonderful lady manager, was flawless in her help with any request and ensured everything was arranged seamlessly. A particular highlight was a special visit arranged by the hotel to see inside the King’s Palace — something only possible with a letter through the residence. It was a truly insightful and worthwhile experience. We also visited Amber Palace, which simply has to be seen to be believed, with everything organised perfectly by the hotel. This is a genuinely unique and special place — a one-of-a-kind experience where you are immersed in history while being cared for by an exceptionally warm and talented team. I can only encourage others to book and experience a true slice of history paired with outstanding service. We are now heading to the Oberoi in Udaipur, which looks fantastic — though after such wonderful stays at two RASS properties, I can’t help but wonder if the RASS in Udaipur might have been the better choice. We will definitely be back."

"Our recent stay at this stunning fort-style resort in the desert was really amazing. Traveling with both friends and family, we were looking for a place that offered relaxation, space, and memorable experiences—and this property delivered beautifully on all fronts. The setting itself is breathtaking, with expansive open areas that let you truly soak in the calm, earthy charm of the desert landscape. Despite its serene, tucked-away feel, the resort is conveniently located and easy to reach, which made the journey effortless. What truly elevated the experience were the thoughtfully curated activities and the warmth of the staff. From trying our hand at archery to unwinding in the infinity pool overlooking the vast surroundings, every moment felt well spent. The simple joys like feeding rabbits and goats were especially delightful for the entire group. The high tea spread was exceptional, both in taste and presentation, and the evening folk singing performance during dinner on the fort’s sixth floor created a truly unforgettable ambiance under the open sky. The staff throughout were courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile That said, there are a few minor areas where improvements could enhance the overall experience. The recreational room, while promising, was not fully functional during our visit the lights and air conditioning were turned off, and amenities like the table tennis setup and playstations were not operational. With a bit more attention here, this space could become a fantastic addition to the resort’s offerings."

"We recently planned a trip to Jaipur in August to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and as always, our favourite place to stay was Pride Amber Vilas Resort. Whenever we plan a Jaipur trip, Pride Amber Vilas is our first and only choice. The beautiful heritage-inspired architecture, peaceful vibe, cleanliness, excellent location, and warm hospitality make every stay truly special. The resort is also very conveniently connected to the Ring Road, making it easy to access while still giving you the feeling of staying at a beautiful property with all the modern and luxurious amenities. The staff is extremely supportive, courteous, and welcoming. I would especially like to mention Ms. Sapna, who served us at the Bandhni Restaurant. She was exceptionally courteous, polite, and attentive throughout our experience. Her warm and professional service really added to our celebration. To make the occasion even more special, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a complimentary birthday cake for my wife, which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. Overall, another wonderful stay at Pride Amber Vilas! ❤️ Thank you to the entire team for making our visit memorable. We look forward to coming back again and again whenever we are in Jaipur. "Old hotel rooms, smelly and dirty bathroom, no hot water, and the most uncomfortable bed that I ever slept on (akin to a wood plank). There was a dirty bucket and a previous guest's hair left in the drain in the bathroom, which turned me completely off in addition to the damp odor. Thankfully once I sprayed some lemon sanitizer and cracked the bathroom door to air it out, the smell neutralized a little. But I was already turned off. They have renovated some rooms, but I did not get one of those and it's disappointing to see the difference, which is vast. There is also barely any sound insulation. I have no problem with a little noise, but there is live music every night at the rooftop bar for about 3-4 hours and you hear EVERYTHING. So no quiet time or early sleeping nights. Aside from that, the food was pretty great and the location was central to the main sites, but it is not worth the other minuses to stay here. Do not recommend!"
