"Hotel Solemar is situated along the chain of family beach clubs of Ischia Porto's waterside, in a relatively quiet neighborhood 3-5 minutes walk from the promenade of shops and restaurants that thrive every summer evening. We had a single room facing a tranquil garden lane, and a double room with a large balcony overlooking the beach. Both rooms were spacious enough to accomodate luggage. Wifi in the single was slow, but the oceanview double had flawless wifi; both rooms had excellent cable with many channels, mostly in Italian, of course. The breakfast was better than most hotels, and the daytime front desk staff and housekeeping ladies exerted themselves to be helpful. PROS: -Location! 10 minute walk to ferry/boat docks, 20 minute walk to Castel Aragonese -Pool, beach clubs ($), big seaside balconies available ($) -Breakfast buffet; lobby bar; friendly, helpful staff -Excellent individual air conditioners CONS: -Smaller size showers in some rooms (e.g., tight fits for "super-sized" North Americas) -Rust and wear-and-tear appropriate to a moderate priced, beachfront family hotel"

"Short weekend stay. Courtesy and helpfulness upon acceptance. Large common areas. Large and clean rooms, with a terrace overlooking the street and therefore noisy. Only one lift, also for staff, for the entire structure. Satisfactory breakfast. Prices a little high."

"We returned to this hotel again and the same high standards prevail. A peaceful setting for a really relaxing visit to Ischia. Delicious food, served expertly, lovely wine and cocktails from Ciro, spotless room service and pool, all helped to make the holiday perfect. The hotel is placed in the centre of the main shopping area Via Roma, but a few minutes walk from the beach with all the bars and loungers you could need. So good, we are returning in September! Highly recommend this hotel."

"This beautiful hotel had such a great location ; walking distance to the harbour , to the beach and shops, restaurants etc . It was a great base for exploring the island and lots of walking . Breakfast was great , a typical Italian offering. Our room had a balcony and we absolutely loved it . The staff at the desk were always lovely and friendly . Cafes and bars were literally next door and across the street. We appreciated having a fridge and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. We had a wonderful time here for the 3 nights ."

Alles is perfect, maar een speciale applaus gaat naar het superlatief ontbijt met de verse eigen productie bakkerij en de absoluut vriendelijkheid van Miss Luisa die ons gecockold geeft ons advies over wat te bezoeken om het prachtige ISCHIA optimaal te leven. "Ik had een score van 5 gegeven, maar er waren een paar kwesties misschien wel met een taalbarrière of alleen het personeel wordt niet gebruikt voor kleine klachten. Ten eerste hadden we een probleem met ons toilet dat constant lopen na het gieten... hield mijn vrouw soms wakker in de nacht, ik heb letterlijk het hotelpersoneel naar de kamer gebracht op de eerste ochtend van onze 4 nachten verblijf. De loodgieter is de nacht wakker voor we vertrokken? Ten tweede gingen we bij het ontbijt wachten op een tafel, maar we moesten zelf gaan, er was geen menu, dus moesten ze vragen wat ze hadden, na een paar ochtends besefte ik dat de Italiaanse mensen toestemming hadden om naar de ontbijtbar te gaan om te bestellen, Ik begrijp dit niet en toen ons ontbijt kwam, was er iets dat niet met onze bestelling was, de server schreef niets in? (de tweede ochtend en de rest van onze verblijf waren er twee servers)? De kamers en de locatie waren gelegen, na het strand, met zonnebedden €10 per dag elk De bedden,kamers waren comfortabel, schoon en de douchewaterdruk en AC waren echt goed. Ik zou graag hier blijven en teruggaan met een paar kleine vragen die ik heb genoemd, de personeelsleden waren echt vriendelijk, zoals ik zei dat sommige dingen misschien een taalbarriere waren."

"Prachtige plek , een prachtig uitzicht op locatie stem 10 en lof, mevrouw Rita altijd beschikbaar en zeer vriendelijk, comfortabel voor de diensten , prachtige wandeling om in het centrum van Forio te komen , Om de schoonmaak niet te verbeteren volgens standaard voor de kanonnen waar we gewend zijn aan bos pakketten en ontbijt service , helaas wordt ontbijt geserveerd in een bar buiten de faciliteit en niet voor 0930.. in het algemeen zeker een meer dan positieve ervaring , zonde alleen voor het schoonmaken en ontbijt service ... er is nog een beetje te werken op... zeker zal ik terugkeren een van de mooiste plekken die ik ooit in Ischia gezien heb, de structuur is magisch ..."
