Hotel la Villarosa Terme

A lovely villa in the centre of Ischia Town. Our room was quaint, rather old fashioned, but in keeping with the hotel. Delightful thermal pool in a tropical garden. Lovely staff serving lunch and drinks by the pool. Dinner was on a stunning rooftop terrace with views of the sea and town. Excellent food was served each evening. Half board is a must. Excellent staff throughout the hotel. Many Thanks

The main advantage of the hotel is people: an incredibly friendly professional staff! Especially the restaurant staff is just one big wonderful family! It's just impossible not to get attached to them! )) An excellent location of the hotel, a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Delicious food and spacious rooms, a very interesting historical design of the hotel, wonderful pool, a nice private beach and stunning views from the restaurant terrace. Already missing the island and the hotel and looking forward to staying there again!

Firstly the staff are great so we don’t want the negatives here to impact them. Overall we were generally happy with the hotel which had a perfect location slightly up the hill from the main town but close enough to stroll in for some gelato or a drink after dinner. The decor in the rooms is dated (like 1960s) but if like us, you don’t plan to stay in them too long it’s not an issue. The issue we have in the room is the uncomfortable bed. We booked on a half board basis. Food was poor and let the place down - think nursing home food. Our advice would be save the money on half board and put it towards eating out each night. There is an abundance of nice restaurants and you can have a decent one course meal with glass of wine for less than €60 which is what they charged us for dinner at the hotel. As an example; Breakfast was buffet continental a few nice bits like fresh fruit and croissants. As for the dinner this was edible and authentic however a child could honestly cook better at home and therefore opted to eat out as we were on holiday and wanted to enjoy ourselves. The restaurant terrace was pretty but no music and no atmosphere. Food like wafer thin ham slices in mushroom sauce with carrots - followed by chocolate mouse with so much gelatine in it it was more like jelly - these are just examples. Couple more issues I hope that management look into; - there are no coffee/tea making facilities in room - a no no for Brits! - No non alcoholic drinks other than coke and Fanta for my pregnant wife. Crondino or something would have been nice. - Music in restaurant was poor random club tunes. With a very quiet atmosphere you would have been better playing traditional authentic Italian music. - You made us sit at the same table every night and we would have like the option to choose - for example perhaps a balcony seat! - The whole dinner process was a rush and lacked attentiveness such as the table situation. Everything geared to getting everyone in and out asap and we felt like cattle being fed.

Stayed here for a week beginning of July and enjoyed. Pros: - good location to access all areas of Ischia Port - staff really friendly and helpful, able to book excursions etc - breakfast fine and view from roof terrace amazing - pool area nice and the thermal water lovely (swimming cap must be worn) Cons: - we stayed in room 0, which wasn’t the best (only discovered this when I looked at other rooms online). Room needed updating, air conditioning unit out of date, wardrobe needed to be repaired, sitting area under plum trees which kept falling off making the path slippery - better rooms are in the actual villa so insist on one if available. We really did enjoy our stay and the cons are by far outweighed by the pros. There are several cats on the property so if you stay, be kind and feed them, the one near our room followed us around and was just adorable…we bought cat food at the supermarket as well as a sneaky slice of ham from breakfast! We would stay here again, mainly as the location was perfect.

Have just spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was once a villa and it has such charm. The staff are lovely and really helpful despite minimal English (adds to the charm of Ischia). The gardens are fruitful, watch out for falling plums! We were room 0 which was a detached building to the left of the villa, really quiet and a resident black and white cat for company which I fell in love with. Now for all the cat lovers out there: we named the cat Felix (not original I know) and if anyone staying at the Villa has it in their heart to feed a little ham from breakfast or purchase some cat food from the supermarket, it would really be appreciated. I would have brought him home if I could....🐾🐾. We hope to return to Ischia and would definitely stay here. To the staff, thank you and please look after the cats.

This hotel is a charming villa that has been converted into a hotel. It is right in the centre of Ischia and it is simply beautiful. Our room overlooked the tropical garden inside the villa and was absolutely lovely and tastefully furnished. The thermal pool is wonderful and the hotel also has a private beach some 400 metres away. Meals were delicious (we had half board) and served on a terrace with a stunning view; you can also have lunch or brunch by the pool (so lovely!). Hotel staff are very competent, helpful and polite. Will be back!

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti presso la struttura. Camera: spaziosa e pulita, anche il riassetto estremamente puntuale e di ottimo livello. Bella la vista mare dalla camera ( noi eravamo nella A ). Ristorante: abbiamo optato per la pensione completa. Cibo veramente buono, tutto estremamente gradevole. Sempre disponibili a scelta piatti di carne e di pesce. Buona la varietà della colazione. Posizione: in pieno centro e vicinissimo alla spiaggia Servizi: bella e calda la piscina termale con un bel po di lettini a disposizione per prendere il sole. Bar: ampia scelta e prezzi assolutamente nella norma ( così anche per le bevande al ristorante ) Personale: ci siamo sentiti davvero coccolati fin dal primo istante. Impeccabili alla reception, così come al Ristorante e al Bar. Ci è davvero dispiaciuto partire, ma consapevoli che torneremo presto. Grazie di cuore a tutti

Ottimo piccolo hotel nel centro di Ischia Porto , tranquillo e nel verde. Bella piscina termale nel giardino tropicale. Il ristorante si trova su una splendida terrazza vista mare all’ultimo piano. Buona cucina . Spiaggia inclusa. Il personale è tutto molto gentile e disponibile. Un grazie a tutto lo staff e in particolare a Luca , Marco , Ciro, e Delia.

Un ottimo hotel nel centro di Ischia, tranquillo e nel verde. Appena fuori dalla stradina un bel corso con tutto il necessario. Come sempre personale di sala accogliente e pronto alle esigenze del cliente . Un grazie a Ciro, Delia, Alessandro, Marcello e naturalmente Marco Luca e tutto lo staff!
