"Arrived on a heavy snow and my shoe were all wet. Were told that our room were not ready but the lady quickly offered me a Shoe Dryer to dry my shoe. The room were quite spacious. It has beautiful view of Mt Fuji. The onsen have the same beautiful view of Mt Fuji. 20 mins walk to the Kawaguchi station. But within 5 mins walk around the hotel, there are Lawson, restaurants and also a huge supermarket. Recommended."

"This hotel offers plenty of activities to keep you busy. I particularly enjoyed the welcome matcha tea from an authentic tea house. The rustic sake room provides complimentary sake, which definitely warms you up and relieves tiredness. There’s also an open-air foot bath available. I had a spacious room with a marvelous view of Mount Fuji every morning upon waking. The gourmet dining experience is definitely worth mentioning. The unforgettable drum show and bingo game at night were incredibly exciting. The onsen experience was perfect."

"Located just right behind the train station, no need to use staircase, convenient for heavy luagages. During my 1 night stay, they even upgraded my room to Fujisan view. The roof top balcony was a gem, can see Mt Fuji when it's good weather. Open resting place at 1st floor was truly convenient. We stored our luagage after checked out and still can come back and eat our lunch there. The place was clean, well managed and cozy. Lastly, the staffs were amazing. They speak fluent Mandarin as they came from Taiwan. Another thing, those who drives, free car park also available."

"Highland Resort & Spa Hotel is at excellent location, the express bus station from Tokyo is right by the door step. Although there is a theme park next door it didn’t seem to be open or busy. I booked a room for 3 nights with Mt Fuji view. And I was lucky enough to wake up to view of Mt. Fuji for 2 days. On the day I checked out, there was heavy snow, and I couldn’t see anything out of my window. Hotel has a very big Onsen connected to the it which is free for hotel guest. Hotel had a few restaurants, the buffet breakfast was very good. The macron club Restaurant serves lovely Italian cuisine and a few Asian dishes. I had a very delicious lunch there.  Highland Hotel is closed to Kawaguchi Lake and Yamanakako lake."

"Hoewel het hotel een beetje ver van het station te voet ligt, kunt u de enorme berg Fuji recht tegenover het hotel zien. Er is een Daiso-winkel van 100 yen ernaast. Als u 's avonds op zoek bent naar eten, kunt u dat doen U kunt geroosterd varkensvlees eten in het hotel, of naar nabijgelegen fastfoodrestaurants en restaurants gaan om uit te kiezen."

"I booked this hotel because the promotion made it seem luxurious, but the surroundings feel odd, almost like all the trees have been removed by purpose, littered with dry leaves and fallen branches. It feels dirty and poorly cared for. I was expecting a neatly landscaped area with grass and trees, but instead, the outside feels like a barren, lifeless space. That said, the inside of the room looks very good. The accommodation consists of two separate large caravan‑style rooms. They are not very spacious, but they are sufficient for a family of four. One of the rooms has slightly less living space because it includes a larger bathroom, with a full‑size bathtub. This is something you rarely find in Tokyo, where most bathtubs are quite small, so this was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we struggled with the bathtub controls as it was written in Japanese, we couldn't use it after all. Also, the heating system are all labeled in Japanese, and there were no clear instructions in English. As a result, we didn’t figure out how to use the heating until the second night. We stayed for two nights in total. There is an outdoor spa area, which is interesting and enjoyable. We used it and found it quite good, although it is small. It works best for two people, three is a tight squeeze, and four would be uncomfortable. The sauna is decent and operates daily. Breakfast is served at set times rather than as a buffet, likely because the hotel only has 14 rooms. Guests must choose a time slot, such as 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. We chose 8:30. Breakfast is a set menu rather than self‑service. Each morning includes a starter, a main dish, and some small item to finish, well enough for us. The first day was Japanese‑style, with a rice‑based dish. The second day was Western‑style, with a sandwich as the main course and fried eggs with pork belly. The food tasted good, but we would have appreciated more water. We did not ask for refills, as staff left the area after serving. Finding the hotel is a bit difficult. The entrance sign is blocked by a car park sign, making it very easy to miss. You need to drive very slowly, or you will pass it without realising it. We spent several minutes searching before realising this was the place. Be prepared to see a car park with two signs, where one directly blocks the hotel’s entrance sign."

"You can see Mount Fuji from the room window in the morning, which makes it definitely worth staying here again! The room is beautiful and very clean, and it even has YouTube for entertainment. The only minor drawback is that there's only one elevator, so you might have to wait a bit when going up or down. The hotel doesn't have a public hot water dispenser (if you want to eat instant noodles, you'll have to boil water in your room). Breakfast needs to be ordered in advance during check-in, where you select your preferred set meal. There's also a semi-buffet available! There are parking spaces outside, which is very convenient! Definitely worth a return visit!"

"De locatie ligt vlakbij het treinstation Fuji Q Highland. Ongeveer 10 minuten lopen. Maar door de zomerse hitte duurde het langer dan 10 minuten. Er is nauwelijks beschutting bij de villa, dus het is aan te raden om met de auto te gaan. Door de nabijheid van het treinstation is het Kawaguchiko-meer gemakkelijk te bereiken. Het hotelpersoneel is erg gastvrij en vriendelijk. Ik kwam eerder dan de inchecktijd aan bij het hotel, dus liet ik mijn bagage achter en ging ik op pad. Tot mijn verbazing waren mijn bagage al naar binnen gebracht en hadden ze zelfs bederfelijke producten in de koelkast gezet bij het inchecken! De voorzieningen zijn uitzonderlijk en er zijn gratis alcoholische dranken te nuttigen. Er zijn ook veel gratis producten zoals maskers en gezichtsproducten. Het bad is volledig automatisch en het is aan te raden om na een dag reizen even lekker te badderen. Het sukiyaki-diner en ontbijt waren ook geweldig, met grote porties en hoogwaardige ingrediënten."

"The hotel for my soul!❤️ We staied at the hotel from March 29 to April 2. It is a small and very cosy hotel with a beautiful garden in front of the entrance. The staff is very kind, helpful and friendly. The cleaning of our room was every day, the lighting was calming, and the beds are VERY comfortable❗️Also there is a yakiniku Tatsugaoka restaurant in the hotel!!! The meal is sooo delicious!🤤🤤🤤 One of the most pleasant things was onsen❣️ After the day full of emotions and movement it was the best way to relax and feel calm! Although it was cold and snowy in Fujiyoshida, and we hadn’t see Fuji until the day of leaving the atmosphere was warm and cosy! This city and the hotel have stayed in my heart forever ❤️ Thank you! "Het hostel ligt vlak bij station Fujiyama, niet ver van de Gouden Torii-poort, waardoor het erg handig is om je te verplaatsen! Op de kruising vind je ramenrestaurants en sushi-restaurants met een lopende band, en er zijn ook supermarkten in de buurt, dus winkelen en uit eten gaan is makkelijk. De eigenaar is een erg attente en charmante persoon; het hostel is gezellig ingericht en erg schoon! Hoewel er gedeelde badkamers zijn, zijn de faciliteiten en hygiëne uitstekend! De eigenaar bakt zelf brood en biedt gratis snacks en fruit aan voor de gasten! Een koelkast, magnetron, kleine oven, warm water, koffie, thee... alles is aanwezig! Het is ook nog eens een goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding, waardoor het een uitstekende keuze is voor reizigers! Alle foto's zijn daadwerkelijke opnames!"
