Hotels in Marseille met Wifi

Het hotel heeft een mooi ingerichte hal, een bar en een eigen parkeerplaats. Het personeel bij de receptie was beleefd en deed vaak hun best om aan onze verzoeken te voldoen, maar soms waren ze meer bereid om ons de regels uit te leggen en gaven ze er niet veel om. De bar sloot rond 22.00 uur. Het was geen restaurant, de meeste gerechten van de kaart ontbraken en er was niet veel te eten. Er waren geen badjas en slippers, wat nogal ongebruikelijk is voor een 4-sterrenhotel. Het ontbijt was niet goed. Elke dag was er één soort ham, worstjes en roerei, croissants en yoghurt met fruit. Het was altijd om 22.00 uur klaar. Zelfs niet langer in het weekend. Het personeel bij het ontbijt was zo arrogant. Ik voelde me overbodig. De schoonmaak was oké, maar erg chaotisch; ze vergaten altijd zwarte thee, een handdoek, papier of iets dergelijks. Ze duwden altijd leeslampjes in de kussens - dit is belachelijk. De kamer, het bed, de kussens, de badkamer en de theefaciliteiten waren handig. Mooie foto's van M****ille, mooie kleuren van het meubilair. De airconditioning was goed, maar niet de koudste, hoewel we in de warme periode zaten waar het buiten 4 graden was. De ramen zijn niet groot en er zijn geen balkons, dus het is een beetje somber. De douche en wc werkten prima. Er was een supermarkt om de hoek en een winkelcentrum. Het hotel heeft een vreemde ligging, hoewel alles op de kaart dichtbij lijkt. We zijn zelfs nooit naar de oude haven gelopen, omdat we dat te ver vonden lopen. Maar het was handig om een auto te hebben met privéparkeergelegenheid. Dit maakte onze reis echt goed.

Convenient location with access to parking which was rather pricey 43 euro for 38 hours even with discount. You can leave your car and spend the day walking around Marseille. It’s walking distance to both old and new ports. Near the hotel there are two shopping malls - Deck Village and Printemps.

We stayed in Sofitel Marseille for 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located right on the periphery of the old port of Marseille where all the shops and restaurants are located. It takes about a 15-minute walk to get from the hotel all the way to the centre of the old port so the hotel is fairly insulated from the hustle and bustle of the old port. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the interiors feel very fresh, clean and bright. We upgraded our room to a deluxe room facing the old port at the reception and we thought it was worth it. We never tired of waking up to a view of the old port with a clear blue sky. The room itself was quite clean and spacious. There was enough room to open up two luggages and still move around comfortably. There is also a turn down service where the staff will put out the bedroom slippers and play some nice Jazz music when you come back. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning would turn off in the middle of the night. The air conditioning control did not seem to work and it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so the in-room controls did nothing. I could not sleep the first night as it was too warm and stuffy so we asked for a ventilateur (fan) the next day. That helped us to sleep better. Obviously, if you are planning to stay during the winter months then the heat at night should not be an issue. The staff at the reception were always pleasant, warm, friendly and polite. We were upsold the room with a view when we checked in so that should say something about how friendly the staff were. It was EUR70 per night for the room with a view and it included overnight parking (EUR27 per night) so it was really only about EUR50 extra per night. The valet and the concierge were all very helpful and nice and they all speak English well enough. If you intend to park here, do note that the roads within the hotel property can be quite narrow and the parking lots are quite narrow as well. It may be worthwhile getting the valet to help you park your car at least for the first day because driving from the car rental agencies at the Marseille train station to the hotel was stressful enough for us. We paid around EUR300 - 350 a night but we thought it was worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Toen ik aankwam, waren de schoonmaaksters 53 dagen lang voor het hotel aan het demonstreren. De draaideur was bedekt met modder en confetti, terwijl de zwarte vrouwen dansten op luide Afrikaanse beats. Een complete schok! Ze gingen door tijdens mijn verblijf... De receptie was super behulpzaam nadat ik contact had opgenomen met hun manager. Mijn vlucht was vertraagd en ik kwam een dag te laat aan, dus ze konden mijn reservering wijzigen zonder extra te betalen. Mijn kaart werkte niet, dus ik heb een contante aanbetaling gedaan en ze stuurden me een e-mail toen mijn vertraagde koffer arriveerde (om me niet wakker te maken). De schoonmaak was gemiddeld: twee keer hebben ze het water niet bijgevuld. Eén keer waren ze een schoonmaakmiddel vergeten. Een andere keer hebben ze de cafeïnevrije capsules niet bijgevuld. Ook hadden ze guller kunnen zijn met het toiletpapier. Het is het heel dunne gerecyclede papier, dat snel opgaat. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en het restaurant was ruim, met een tuin met uitzicht op de jachthaven. De kamer was groot, modern en rustig, met een fantastisch uitzicht op de haven, inclusief zonsondergangen en zonsopgangen! Ik zag zelfs het ongelooflijke vuurwerk van een half uur voor de nationale feestdag, recht onder mijn raam! Het bed is groot en comfortabel, de kussens een beetje te zacht, de verlichting is goed, maar er zijn geen toiletartikelen (wat aanvankelijk problematisch was vanwege de verloren bagage). Roomservice was niet beschikbaar op de enige avond dat ik het wilde bestellen - vanwege de festiviteiten rond de nationale feestdag. De QR-code werkt niet op mijn telefoon, dus ik moest de receptie bellen om te bestellen. Er stonden ook geen alcoholische dranken vermeld, en ik had geen koelkast op de kamer, dus ik kon niet volledig ontspannen en genieten van mijn vakantie. Het hotel heeft geen spa, wat jammer is. Dus ik heb online gereserveerd en een massage genomen in de hamamspa op een paar minuten van het hotel (erg duur en niet geweldig). De dichtstbijzijnde was gesloten. Het zwembad is prachtig, maar bevindt zich in een ander gebouw, waardoor je een extra lift op de begane grond moet nemen. Een beetje lastig... De sportschool is eenvoudig maar goed. Het wordt behoorlijk druk en vies aan het einde van de dag. Er zijn veel leuke restaurants in de buurt en zelfs een kleine Proxi-winkel. Er is een bushalte op 1 minuut afstand, die naar het Terras du Port gaat. En de taxi zette me handig recht voor het hotel af. De grotten Mucem en Cosquer, zichtbaar vanuit het hotel, liggen op 25 minuten loopafstand en zijn zeker een bezoek waard. Al met al was ik tevreden met mijn verblijf en zou ik zeker terugkomen als bovenstaande problemen opgelost zouden zijn.

Hôtel cosy, services et accueil au point. Chambre attribuée: grande désillusion en raison du bruit infernal. Mobilier disproportionné dans cette petite chambre par ailleurs charmante . Parties communes soignées, tableau déco de bon goût. Propreté irréprochable

This hotel has an absolutely amazing breakfast, it was included with the price we paid for our three nights of stay but one can pay ten euros per person per day for it. TOTALLY worth it, there were two hot food, we thought it was Continental Breakfast but there was so much food, we didn't even need to have lunch. There is this machine where you squeeze your own orange juice and it was FUN as you actually DIY!!! So many bread and croissants, pain au chocolat ... there was also organic milk, all local organic jams/spreads and a very nice espresso or coffee machine you can get hot chocolate and Cafe au Lait! You can make your own hard/medium/soft boiled egg! The service was great, the man at the front desk was very helpful and introduced me to places in the Marseille region that I can visit nearby. Room was small but I didn't come to Marseille to stay in a hotel room, water in the shower was hot and wifi works well! I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Marseille!!!

Deze plek is erg basic en ik heb het gevoel dat ik te veel betaald heb gezien mijn ervaring. Ten eerste ligt het zo dicht bij een discotheek dat je de muziek en de bezoekers kunt horen. In mijn geval was dat tot 5:15 uur 's ochtends, toen ik opstond voor een vroege trein. De douche is een handdouche en niet aan de muur bevestigd, dus het is een beetje alsof je met een tuinslang doucht. Er is geen werkende lift en de trap is niet recht, waardoor je met een verhoogd risico op vallen of je enkel verstuiken loopt. Het enige pluspunt is de nabijheid van de jachthaven en de redelijke loopafstand van het treinstation.

Bon emplacement vue sur mer

Mijn vriendin en ik hadden tijdens onze reizen spontaan een slaapplaats nodig. De beste beschrijving zou een plek in hostelstijl met privékamers zijn. Helaas is het niet goed geïsoleerd en worden de douches/toiletten gedeeld. Hotelvergunningen zijn afgesloten en beveiligd met een toegangscode. Parling is mogelijk zonder extra kosten. Over het algemeen goede service voor de prijs die wordt betaald

First time in Marseille. Fine to have stayed at this apartment but probably won't again. I had to chase for the access instructions myself. Also annoying to have to go pick up the keys from Ibis (collection itself was quick), which is a 9-minute walk to the apartment. The fob worked but the 2 keys attached did not open any doors. Email instructions, while clear, were not entirely accurate - referring to going right when in fact I needed to find the apartment on the left. Bit of drama one morning as I forgot my phone inside the apartment and had locked myself out. Had keys on me but the keys couldn't actually open the door, and of course I couldn't remember the super-secure 9-digit digital code! Only eventually managed to get in but asking a neighbour who thankfully was able to call the apartment manager. They should have given me working manual keys but never did. Apartment itself was very clean. Lots of linen. Comfortable bedding in the bedroom as well as hidden under the sofa bed. Basic toiletries included. Washing machine worked. Heating was plenty sufficient. No dishwasher but not an issue as I did not cook much. (2 induction hob rings right against the wall which I didn't think was conducive to cooking anything more than the super basic, but fine for me this trip.) Overall it was okay. Location super convenient, but I'd prefer somewhere quieter, where people and traffic noise wouldn't be so loud and go on after hours. Also somewhere without people relieving themselves next to large bins right outside the building's front door. Somewhere more pleasant...
