Outside of town ( so quiet and relaxing) but easily walkable multiple times a day for lunch/dinner or other activities. A real treat to stay here while on Hvar. "Where to begin... The room is just a room. It may not be luxurious, but for a 2.5-star hotel, it's great. It's pretty standard: bed, TV, air conditioning. The bathroom could use a shower instead of a bathtub. But it's great. It's cleaned daily. Towels are changed twice a stay, as are the bed linen. But you don't go on vacation to spend all your time in your room. The food is quite varied and really tasty. So many negative reviews we've read about the food don't really reflect reality. Breakfast is monotonous, but there's a wide selection, so you don't have to eat the same thing every day. Lunch and dinner are really tasty. The dishes were a bit repetitive, but there's nothing to complain about. The location is great, right by the sea. A plus is that the sunbeds are free. The water is wonderful and spotlessly clean. One major drawback is the pool. The water is cold because it's under cover. Furthermore, it's as salty as the sea. We recommend it!"

"Dit was onze favoriete plek op onze reis! Kamers zijn zeer mooi versierd, schoon, modern ontwerp, comfortabele bedden, TV met Netflix. Ontbijt is zo goed, u bestellen op de app, selecteer uw tijd en ze zullen u direct naar de kamer brengen! Personeel zeer vriendelijk en handig. Jacuzzi is ook een geweldige toevoeging om te genieten met een glas wijn."

Villa Porta Maestra

"We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Porta Maestra. Stefanie greeted us at the port and escorted us through the brief walk to the Villa. Our 2 bedroom apartment was gorgeous. Beds were very comfortable. Updated beautifully with a nice mixture of stone walls, dark wood and metal finishes. Kitchenette is amazing and fresh fruit made for great afternoon snack. Showers were roomy and water pressure was fantastic. Hotel also provided fresh beach towels everyday. Location is perfect with plenty of restaurant options just steps from the Villa. Waterfront is super close to hop on a water taxi for a day at one of the many beaches. Breakfast was also included and was served next door at Villa Nora. Wide arrangement of breads, fruit, yogurt and pastries. Also accommodated fresh scrambled eggs order and coffee was delish! Hvar is a very special place. We will be back! Definitely recommend this hotel over other larger resorts so you experience the delights at and near this amazing accommodation."

"This studio was part of the apartment block which has many apartments. My apartment came with a separate kitchen and toilet and a balcony that overlooked the sea and the sunset was superb. It's quite difficult to find out how and where to check in though. The tip is to go down a few stairs from where you see the pink flowers of the Bougainville. There is a dog sign but don't worry as the dog is kept inside where the owner/caretaker lives. You will probably come across Coni who will help you with the check in and she is brilliant. Speaks Spanish with an Argentinian accent. The kitchen has all the facilities and cookware that you need. Make sure that you bring in shampoo, conditioner and shower gel as none is provided. Also bring your own tea/coffee sachets as none are there. Only book if you are traveling light as it's quite far from the old town and about 1.1Km from where the ferry drops you. It's not the distance rather the steep climb to reach this apartment; and with the luggage you will become super fit to participate in Ironman."
